A double surprise! Not only were we treated to Singing Mountain but also a reprise of the Battle theme. It's awesome that Singing Mountain was included in the musical, despite it not making it into the final game. Even so, the song was incorporated extremely well. That animation with Masa and Mune is a really nice touch, too. Once again, great job, everyone!
Loseiso 00 Yay indeed... except it got put into an area with a LOT of backtracking that was added to give the new area artificial length. I usually don’t care about backtracking (the Doo_liss chapter in Paper Mario: TTYD is one of my favorites), and it still got to me. Better than nothing, though, as it let me hear this great song for the first time.
What's to love about this song: 1. Invidebit is doing an awesome job voicing both Masa and Mune. 2. The chorus and the pre-battle portion of the song sounds beautifully heavenly. 3. Add the trio of Moon, Chi-Chi, and Steel as another trio with a wonderful vocal blend. 4. Mune: Did you come to take it? The Masamune I mean. Crono: Um... Robo: Yes. Crono: ROBO! I know people have said this already but this exchange makes me laugh. Well done. 5. I like the execution of the battle theme in this one. I find it neat that in this one our heroes got the first word out and then it was followed Masa and Mune while in Battle with Yakra, Yakra got the first word out and the heroes followed it up. (My thoughts are based on the playthrough I watched and this is it's because in this battle with Masa and Mune they have to prove they're worthy enough to take the sword) 6. Juno's art is wonderful here and I really love the animation for Masa and Mune's fusion. Final conclusion: This song is wonderful and well done and is now among my current favorites for the musical.
The chorus in this is so beautiful. The animation was cool too! I also love the little addition of Robo being the one to say “yes” without hesitation. This might be one of my personal favourites!
What a fantastic use of Singing Mountain! It was meant to be used in the Prehistoric Era, but we have no idea what that plot point was to be used for. Instead you used it for the heavily plot important Denadoro Mountains, which is a much better use than any other mountain (the Mountain of Woe may also have worked, considering Melchoir's unofficial theme is Manoria Cathedral) but I think this is the more important point to have introduced it.
.....Words fail to express the sheer amount of joy I feel right now..... Welp, you have officially covered all of my favorite songs aside from World Revolution, but that is probably coming up. It's the final battle theme. I will be surprised if it doesn't make it in. ANYWAYS, you can't hear it, but I keep making these happy little squeaks as I type and was making them all through the video. Looking through the rest of the comments, pretty much everyone else has covered the same topics I was thinking of already so I will not bother to go into detail. Robo's blunt honesty is adorably charming and funny. Singing was spot on. Animation was glorious. Eventually, I am going to run out of ways to express how highly I regard the work the MotI team produces. Seriously, I love you guys. You make the upcoming week less daunting because I always have something to look forward to even if I don't comment on it.
I gotta say, the more I listen the better it gets. I mean, it was great the first time. But after like 5 times its at a new level of holiness. The "Singing Mountain" part is so angelic and beautiful. The music sounds so good, and the voices over it just makes my ears melt. I don't know how you manage to do it, but every time you release a new song I think it's my favorite. There has been no drop in quality in any of the songs, and I have to applaud you guys for that. Keep making beautiful music!
@@randompersonyoudontknow5763 If I had to guess,it has to do with what type sword they use. Crono seems to be using katanas while Frog use broadswords.
@@SadIsMe1055 Yeah, Crono is specifically trained in katanas. They handle completely different. I think the confusion comes in because the real masamune was a katana 😂
They come, playing swords and heros. They come through these thousand years... Man I just loved the way you made them see the humans like people who are unworthy of such powerful sword and they don't know what makes a true hero.
This was a really clever way to place the Singing Mountain theme into the musical, given how the area was removed from the final game except in those later extra bonuses. I really love what you've done here. I already love the tune, and you captured the hopeful melancholy of the song while matching the new scene you've applied it to.
Why are these songs always so perfectly written? Why are they always excellent in their delivery? Why don’t I possess enough talent to help out the musical in any way, shape or form? 😭😭😭
Oh wow! You guys are all so talented and awesome. The chorus is perfectly arranged. The characters voices are a perfect match for them. The art is beautiful, and inspiring. The mixing is very well done and blended nicely. I have such a high respect and admiration for all of you!
I really like that song, it's definitly one of your best one, all fandom included. I love the disapointment of the two brothers in the beginning, waiting for a real hero, a hero that they can respect to overcome the challenge and take the sword, yet none managed to do it. And the regret that so much time has passed without a succesful hero. They don't even believe that such a hero will come anymore. And the dialogue that comes when the heroes try to take the sword highlight that. The answer from Chrono's group is beautiful too. It shows that they're not here for glory, fame but to save the world despite their fear. They are afraid, and would rather stay admiring the landscape rather than claim the sword. But they have a world to save, their fears and their desire cannot stop them here, and so they must go claim the sword. The fight in itself is pretty good. Masa and Mune sing in tune, to say that heroes are all the same. And yet, they are a bit arrogant about it, maybe as arrogant as the heroes that came here. It contrasts with the heroes singing, who never talk about fame or glory but about who they would save. Yet, as the fight goes on, Masa and Mune begins to have fun, to feel alive and to regain hope even if they don't quite believe it themselves so, they taunt the heroes. And their last sentences highlight that. ("Could he truly be the one?!") I really love that song because of the singing dialogue between Masa, Mune and the Heroes.
Not suprised. Not dissapointed. And amazed as always. However, there are two things I want to point out: First, the frame of Masa&Mune's transformation scarred me for life (LOOK AT THAT PERFECT BODY). Second, You guys actually thought about changing the party members if any variety is finnaly available! Thats cool!
Imagine if there was a notch of rock on a mountain that had formed perfectly into an ocarina and whenever the wind blew it’d play. Be super freaky to mountain climbers.
I think the most impressive thing for me about the musical so far has been the various ways things like the battle theme (something very iconic but heard a LOT in the game) are being used. It never feels stale somehow, even though the melody has been burned into my brain from replay after replay after new game + etc. As always, love to hear steel sing anything, but especially as my favorite character from the game. Everyone is doing such a great job. Always happy to hear a familiar voice from U:tM as Invidebit plays the twin sword souls. I'm pretty sure Invidebit's been in CT:tM already though, right? As one of the three lavos voices, maybe? Anyway, love the work. Look forward to a new song every week. Great Job! Keep it up, Everyone!

Here's a wall of text. I see this song as a story, and the tone of voice and lyrics set the stage perfectly. Masa and Mune are cynical from their long wait for a true hero, having lost most of their hope. However, there's something different today. They still have some hope left, and the wind represents that hope. Their view from the top of the mountain is bleak, but the view our heroes see is different. They see things of beauty, in their determination to save the future.
"They come playing swords and heroes They've come through these thousand years But in the end they're all zeros" I just love how this part sounds, it's exactly how I imagined Masa and Mune to be, I love you so much for starting this project THANK YOU !!!

Masa...and Mune...I always wondered about Cyrus' sword. How the heck did he earn the right to wield it, how did he get it, who did he talk to? I like to think that once the Masamune was forged it created the merging of two magical beings. They disguise themselves as human children, but they can look like mystics. The two can also merge into a monster! Its such a strange device in the game. Its the only weapon that can damage Magus/Janus through his magical barriers. Once upgraded, it becomes stronger then any weapon Frog wield in the entire story.
The blade was once called the Ruby Knife. It was thrown into the Mammon Machine in an attempt to stop it since it was forged from the same material called Dream Stone. However by the time it was used it was far too late the energy it was emanating opened a rift to lavos but before it did that it did transform the blade and began to absorb the energy from lavos. As for Masa and Mune You do see them before anything that indicated they were created from the sword. Hell Melchior had been imprisoned before that and they roamed the Kingdom of Zeal. As for Cyrus he did some adventuring and was on his way to claim it. And once claimed Magus shattered the blade before it was used on him. Killed Cyrus and cursed Glenn into a frog.
I believe that like the pendant the masamune lost its powers aswell and went back to its ruby knife form, wich is the one that cyrus used in the cutscene, so pretty much i believe all the journey of his was to reawaken the masamunes power and face magus.
more like powered it as much as he could, actually i think its either lucca or robo who powers the sword up with what they can, as you can see lucca using her magic pose while she was fixing it. BUT what it doesnt make any sense at all is chrono cross, in wich dalton somehow got send into 1000+ ad and got possesed by the masamune somehow, and destroyed guardia wich at that point was chronos kingdom.
Oof. That Eb major to Bb major ("Bathe in a glorious fountain") is such a good chord progression!! G minor is such a good key for this type of emotional ballad-type song. The chorus really does sound like an unknown entity singing out to our heroes. And the battle theme is amazing!!
I'm leaving this as a reminder to make a huge comment because I have to go somewhere in literally 2 minutes and I'm late. Hey, where's the person who was convinced that Singing Mountain wouldn't be in the musical that I told not to give up hope? Are you happy now? x3

I love the song but this part always used to make me laugh when I was little: 4:04. The look of its face when it starts charging its power then you hit it and he's like *..... Excuse me?*
I hope thy do all the endings, goddamned, that'll be awesome. I can't wait for the final battle songs, and when frog opens the way to Magus' lair. That's gonna be freaking awesome!
Something I wanna mention, although I'm well aware that I might be just out of my mind... But considering all the Easter Eggs in this musical... Masa and Mune talk about claiming the "True Hero's Blade" and one twin is Green haired, while the other is Purple. I might be stretching this a little, but I think the color scheme's a reference to two characters from Xenoblade 2, Mythra and Malos, who are not only Blades themselves, but also have Green and Purple cores respectively.
This is one of the songs I was looking forward to the most!!! Too bad you don't hear it much in the actual game....(I think you hear it only on another mountain....haven't played in forever....)
Yeah, it wasn't in the original. There were 2 pieces on the OST not used, a second Battle theme is the other and I'm wondering if it'll get adapted too now!

I love the song but this part always used to make me laugh when I was little: 4:04. The look of its face when it starts charging its power then you hit it and he's like *..... Excuse me?*
Is that ANIMATION I see!?
This artist is great.
double battle vs 2 hypnos
"Our power's gone!"
"What's going on!?"
"could it be, brother?"
"could they truly be the one?"
Well yeah they beat you
I was skeptical... now I see anything you guys make will become a glorious song.
Mountains're nice.
In my first playthrough, I thought Chrono would take and use the Masamune xD
Fantastic way to use Singing Mountain. Very well done.
I hope thy do all the endings, goddamned, that'll be awesome. I can't wait for the final battle songs, and when frog opens the way to Magus' lair. That's gonna be freaking awesome!
I LOOOOVE IT!
The first part of the song was so beautiful. Not a lot of things make me teary-eyed but that just did it
I love this song!
The best game all rpg
This music actually makes it into the DS remake .
All these comments and not one of the top comments say that "mune" is two syllables, like "sake" and not one, like "moon".
Invidebit don't need no partner to duet
This is one of the songs I was looking forward to the most!!! Too bad you don't hear it much in the actual game....(I think you hear it only on another mountain....haven't played in forever....)
snailgirl6 This song actually wasn't used in the original SNES release. It WAS used in the DS port however
Yeah, it wasn't in the original. There were 2 pieces on the OST not used, a second Battle theme is the other and I'm wondering if it'll get adapted too now!
Amazing job everyone.
Amazing
Carrrpeee Diiiieem
Wow... another amazing score. Though I'm surprise Frog isn't part of the group to attain the sword. Or am I forgetting something... hmmm.
Frog is not with them cause he thinks that he's not worthy of the title of "Hero" or the Masamune, so they are going to get it for him.
Ah yes, I remember now, thank you.
That harmony ❤️
This needs more likes and views, it’s too good.
That animation for the Masa Mune fusion tho
