    I couldn't find any silicone mix near me so I tried this method and GIRL I was shook by how well it worked. When I first took it out the water it felt dry and looked matted but once I brushed a lil castor oil through it and let it sit to hair dry it felt so soft. I know its gonna look bomb after It dries all the way.

But was your wig that you tried the fabric softener with synthetic or human (OR blended). I’m asking because I just recently heard about the fabric softener method, but I heard it was only recommended for synthetic wigs so I never bothered trying..

    I tried this, not even sure what happened but this messed up my frontal so much, the hair got stuck to the actual net of the frontal it’s like heavily tangled or maybe the hair is even melted into the frontal net? Not even sure and it’s crazy, it looks unrepairable. Wonder if anyone experienced this

    • @KiannaVonne
      @KiannaVonne  4 года назад +20

      Yeah that’s the first time I ever heard that happened on this video or even in general.
      I’m not sure how hair could melt into the lace unless it’s synthetic hair but as far as being tangle that happens you just need to use a wide tooth comb to comb it out but also be aware before you insert the wig into the pot it needs to be combed out, because washing tangled hair only going to knot it up.
      Sorry you had this experience though.

      Hot water tends to take color out, so I would be careful

    How many time do you do that? in a week? or month?

    • @KiannaVonne

      I do it when I feel like my wig needs a deep cleaning, so it really goes by how much product you put in your hair but I would say just to clean it every month.

    Does the heat not damage the hair?

    • @the_koo3151
      @the_koo3151 3 года назад +1

      It does. Human hair is an organic material. Like all organic materials, it’s affected by extreme temperatures. Human hair likes to be cooler than the average human temperature of 98.6°. It doesn’t like to be hot and wet.
