For sure. Almost all highlights where the defender gets frozen by a "hesi" is just the ballhandler carrying and the defender correctly thinking that they picked up the ball.

I'm noticing that as I'm getting older, it's getting more difficult to dribble with prior knee injuries, and it's forcing me to over exaggerate switching hands. I'm curious if there is anyway that it's avoidable to quit interrupting my ball handling, from chain movements without smacking the ball against my calves, and forcing me to recover my own mistakes.
If the ball is cupped is should be a carry.
