  • The Jed shows you how to put any dirt bike on a stand, using his 2006 Honda CRF 450x. Do not fear: It's quick, it's easy, and you can do it, too! Remember, though, riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous. Ride safe, and wrench safe, too. Ideally, have a friend with you who can help.

      Glad it helped. Ideally, when you ride and when you wrench do it with a friend so you can help one another.

    That’s the hardest way to get that bike on that stand.
    Try putting the stand to the left side of the front wheel with the axle about an inch or two behind the front of the stand. With you standing to the left of the bike, grab the left grip with your left hand full lock to the left. Pick up the back of the bike straight up (if you’re tall enough by the rear fender near the seat if you’re shorter by the rear wheel) and just walk forward. The stand will end up right under your engine cradle. No twisting, no hip kick and no shimmying the the bike over on to the stand.

      I'll give that a try and report back!

      Did you try it my way?

      Had difficulty lifting it by the rear wheel, but I think if I were stronger that would work.

    Just get a stand that jacks up lot easier

    • @TheJedRides
      @TheJedRides  3 года назад

      That would be too easy! :-)

      Doesn't work that way. I bought one and you still have to lift the bike on to the stand to raise it

      Believe me I just spent almost $200 on a hydraulic lift table and its 2 inches higher than the bike at all ts lowest point. I'm probably going to sell it for $100 just to get it out of my sight 😊
