One quick little thing to make it lock more solidly, weld a raised line across where the wheel stops, like a little curb the wheel has to jump over and get stuck behind when it's up. This will give you the added bonus of making it go KADUNK everytime it raises, and that will be a satisfying feel in your foot
Why do you need luck? Do you hope the teacher will accidentally confound your name and put it on the certificate of the little Chinese boy that's top in class?
It's always great to here from someone who's willing to learn and improve himself. You should be confident in yourself, as CNC is not the hardest thing in the world if you stay focused and interested.
My grandfather was a machinist. He passed away when I was young but hanging out with him in his garage are my most favorite memories of being a wee child. He lived in Michigan and was a tool and die maker for General Motors. I inherited a lot of his small machining tools, and didn’t know what any of them were. Watching your videos educates me and puts me in touch with a part of him that I never got to now. Thank you. ᛟ
Couple of ideas which you will want as the bikes grow and get heavier. Either add a little pnumatic piston to stop the stand slamming down, or if you want an easier option, weld a hoop for your foot to slide into on top of the handle, that way you can lift your foot to start the bike being lowered, and then use your body weight to slow it as it crashes down. Hooks are a good idea for the footpegs. Nice job as usual
