I respect your dedication as well as your problem solving ability. You would be right at home in any practical effects department in any movie studio. Outstanding work.
Phenomenal work as always sir! Absolutely love this series and the crazy amount of work you’ve put in to make it functional while still keeping the same aesthetic as the films. Bravo. Also I would really be interested in a video on how you made the ball drive part of the mechanism.
I’ll just keep the gears and make a new housing for it…. I’ve been watching wide eyed and mouth breathing right up to that sentence. Amazing work. I learnt some things.
The effort you go to making these parts is really compelling watching, not to mention some of the tooling you've also made to manufacture the components, also equally impressive. Always look forward to one of your videos!!!
So cool, good upright arm limitation! So we can have a chance to defend ourselves if we have the highground! 😂 I'm amazed at each video by your skills and your tinkering!

Great work as always mate... I love the solutions you come up with to get this guy moving... but, If you're interested, the larger pistons thought out the body were canonically supposed to be opposing hydraulic system, same for the legs, but they only show up on some of the hero versions, I have some rare photos that give reverence, if you'd like I can send stuff to you if it's going to be of help... As far as I could find out the large ones were hydraulic and the thin ones were electric... Having said that I think what you have come up with is the way to go, "real" hydraulics would be far too tricky for the size.... Dope me an email if you'd like those pix
Thanks very much! Yes, opposed single-acting hydraulic cylinders would make the most sense to me, since it's supposed to imitate the human body and that's closest to how muscle groups work, even though it's mechanically an inefficient design. Just because you can't see the hydraulic connections on all of the cylinders doesn't mean they couldn't be there, they could be hidden inside the piston rod, this is the way it's done on some construction machinery where the lines would otherwise have to move a long way and could wear or become trapped. Yes, definitely. Always interested in photos, especially unusual ones! I'll drop you an email, thanks!👍
Mindblowing continues! Awesome job! How do You manage to find time for such time consuming activity. Since I got married, have two kids, house, job, my free time is almost inexistent and when it is, I am mostly tired and even if I go to "my place" I often get disturbed by wife or kids...
I know the feeling! It's hard to set aside time for projects, I mostly do it in a series of very small steps, that's why this project is taking so long!
I’m currently working on a semi organic brain with some computerchips and transistors in it. It runs on a 24V battery and it’s a little aggressive in its intensions. I thought it to handle machine guns and a Desert Eagle. I’ll send to you. 😊
I only have CAD models for the parts I made 3D printed patterns to cast with, and they are usually designed with some allowance for shrinkage and to be machined afterwards, so not really suitable for direct 3D printing. Most of the skull (2nd skull actually) was made using models I purchased (TurboSquid). The rest is mostly done by hand and eye. In the last video I did share a modification I made to the forearm, which was based on some existing drawings.
This would benefit hugely, by 3D metal printing the cast parts (actually all parts) with a honeycomb internal structure, I can "see" how much unnecessary weight is being added.. With the advancements in HR, I can see the day, when you will be able to order, a complete working T800 "copy" to do chores around the home. How effing cool would that be??
Finally, f*ck. I was craving this moment to be finally come true. Btw another amazing work my friend, well done. I really want to see the final product, a fully-functioning real-sized Terminator. Would be a lot better if you find a silicone human (whole skin) tissue with Arnold's face to wear it to the Terminator. Also some lether motorbike clothes of Arnold. And even make burn/damage on the face/hand to make it look like from the movies, just an idea. 💡 Edit: Now see you again for the next episode another year later guys. 👋
I’m so glad that you’re still plugging along at this. I can’t stay focused on a project for a month let alone half a decade. I love this series.
would love to see the ball screw nut manufacturing!!
I'm was fascinated about the skeleton when I saw The Terminator. I wanted to draw it so much.
He’s back. I’m excited to see this video

Absolutely amazing. Keep it up, can't wait to see the finished project!
I'd like a video on the ball screw.
This channel deserves many more subscribers. Lets see if we can promote on social media!

Very nice. Glad to see you're using the AS5600 magnetic encoder for position feedback now:)

This is incredible! I salute you Sir!
Your videos could be 5 times longer and I would still watch! Great work Andy!
Great work
It's coming together so good. I can't wait to see the whole thing someday.
this would be one hell of a subscription box. I'd buy it
This is such an interesting, well-produced series of videos. It deserves to have far more views than it's getting.
That's wild, love it
Excellent!
That's what Arnold would say. :)

Отличная работа проделана, моё почтение! Отличный проект, я рад что наткнулся на ааши видео. Удачи в работе и вдохновения.
I almost cried when you milled the groove in the first disc you machined.
This one an epic build
fantastic work as always.
❤ well done! Another video please!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Omg, just had a vision of the future, Andy on his sofa and the terminator robot putting the wheelie bin out on the kerb for collection
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Amazing 👏
Some next level problem solving and creativity in this episode! I thought it couldn't be bettered before but yet again I am proven wrong.
finally man. Cant wait to see final
Building the full size Terminator T-800
How long will it take to build the whole body and put build a real CPU brain chip inside the T800 skull

Thanks for the videos.
Brilliant!

Hello everyone, I'm back!!!👍🏻

🥳🎉New video!

Nice!
you are great, is it possible to make a video how you made the ball screw and nut.
Many thanks for all your beautiful videos

Do you have any plans to upload a CAD model for this project? I would love to modify it, add motors, and 3D print it myself!
