Basic head unit installation and backup camera with a tailgate replacement on a 2006 Ram Power Wagon.
We re used parts of the customer's previous installation. The head unit and tailgate camera and dash kit are all we supplied in this case.

Thanks for the great videos. I have a 2007, and I'd like to install that type of head unit, but was told that if the unit is installed flush with the dash, when the flip out pops up, it will be tilted forward. That is because the lip on the dash sticks out further than the face of the radio. Is that a specific model head unit, that will work?

This is a legit concern for flip out single din yes but you have so many glorious options now to get bigger screen than a flip out can get. The options are out there, so you won’t have this issue. Unless you’re using a head unit that you already have in your possession.

I typically use an RP4CH11 or a C2RCHY4 depending on whether the customer is looking to retain steering wheel controls.

Where did you drill the gate for the camera wire?

No drilling the gate. This is a replacement handle that has a camera built into it. As far as running the wiring, there are open spots at the bottom of the tailgate. No drilling required.
