Just put the crumpled pieces of pancake in a bowl, warm them up in the microwave and top with a little melted butter and syrup. I’m sure they’re completely still edible…just make a pancake “bowl” and eat with a spoon rather than eating them on a plate with a fork. 😊

I love re-inventing leftovers. My husband does not eat a "visual" leftover. Not even baked chicken. So I have to make it look brand new. He is none the wiser. (I think). I used leftover shredded chicken last night to make chicken fajita grilled burritos. He loved them. I will eat ANYTHING. Love your clean out the fridge meals. Very budget friendly.

My husband is the same usually for dinner. Now he does eat chicken or tenderloin or burgers for his lunch but I wish he would eat other things for leftover dinner. One of my oldest eat leftovers if we have any. My youngest don’t unless it’s pasta. I wish they weren’t so picky. 😞 I LOVE Italian food and they don’t other than spaghetti….So it’s hard at times to meal plan but I get it done lol.

I cut up leftover baked chicken or turkey with the leftover gravy . Put it in a 9x13 put biscuits on top and bake it . I call it turkey/chicken pie ! He loves it ! If your hubby will eat vegetables add those . I make homemade biscuits but I am sure you could use canned . Thought I would share an idea with another wife of a picky man !!! 😁 God bless !

I feel like people shouldn’t call anything from the refrigerator a leftover because for whatever reason that has a bad reputation. Do we really think that a restaurant cooks everything from scratch? Call everything ‘prepped’ and get to work, people… Reuse or repurpose!!!

Out of habit, I was planning my grocery run a few weeks back. Then I realized I didn't have room in the refrigerator!😂 What would Mindy do? I pulled everything thing out, cleaned, and prepped what I had. I went another 10 days!
Yogurt and berries were everywhere! My favorite prep is cooked quinoa, plain yogurt, and cut-up berries. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Yummy 😋

This was the one pointer I made last time Mindy did a tips on saving money video... get rid of that notion you have to do a weekly "shop." Since I've changed my habit of a "weekly" haul, I find we often can go 10-12 days. Some frequencies may be less than a week, but only to pick up a small amount of essentials. We definitely spend less this way.

I cleaned my refrigerator out over 2 weeks ago WHAT a mess ! I had been battling depression and just had no energy until then. I have managed to keep it clean and manageable for over two weeks tossing very very little during that time.
I have been cooking one protein to last for 2-3 days [ I cook for one person ] and relying more on canned and frozen vegetables to round out meals. I have also lowered the carbs I eat and have lost close to 4 pounds.
I plan on sticking to my new process as well as my cooking plan. It really helped that I made an inventory of my freezer

Just for kicks, try using unflavoured, unsweetened yoghurt instead of sour cream with nachos. I was sick of buying a tub of sour cream for a couple of tablespoons and then wasting the rest. I now find I prefer the tanginess greek yoghurt over the richness of sour cream any day , and just dont bother with sour cream for savoury dishes

With all due respect, I found that the type of refrigerator a person has is key. Most of them designed are so inefficiently. I recently changed to a Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator. I don't have "hidden" food problems anymore. This refrigerator is perfect for organizer bins. Such an efficient design. Awesome for anyone who entertains as well. Any "leftovers" I have go on the large top shelf. Easy to see and use! Just my opinion!❤

I’ve got cooked winter squash, mushrooms, parsnips, cabbage, potatoes, pasta and beans already. That’s the makings for a week’s worth of meals already. I have some sandwich meat and chicken thighs thawing and beef bones in the crockpot for stock. I’m not cooking anything more. It’s going to be creative combinations all week.

It's hard to clear out the fridge/cabinets/kitchen when you have 3-4 people with their own separate weekly meal/diets sharing the same storage areas. While I did go out and bought my own separate freezer, I don't think my household need another fridge for what essentially, going to be the exact same items (dairy/veggies/home-made sauces/pickles). It's the pickling of last year's produce that is taking up most of the space in the fridge.

I make those biscuits. They are the best!!! I'm going to buy some Tortellini and make that casserole. My fridge looked like yours a few days ago, so I'm using up all the leftovers too. Soon I will go to the store. I like how you used your leftovers for different meals. Very creative! Thanks for the ideas and sharing real life!

Great video! You are such a creative cook! I have a hard time cooking without a recipe. The taco pizza and your yogurt bowl looked especially delicious! I wish you could come to my home to make meals with the items in my refrigerator and pantry. I have so many little bits of things to use up and I don't want them to go to waste!

I ran out of eggs and creamer today, but I have banned myself from the grocery store because I went crazy last week and bought half the store.

I use up yogurt by making “Waldorf” salad with chopped apples, nuts and craisins. Definitely prefer cranberries to raisins in oatmeal cookies

I have one of those coffee contraptions. Initially I was burning the coffee, but with practice is will be fine. And even cheaper than pods, which I am getting bored with, especially because I like black coffee. I want to get the timing right and then I will use it instead of pods as often as possible. Thank you for the video!

I could have gone a few more days but I had to get some items while my husband is home and I can’t drive yet. But I did go an extra 6 days by using up and looking around the fridge for what we had

You can take your left over pancakes that get smooched and feed it to your chickens or just toss out to the birds. I do that with pancakes, waffles or ends of bread.

The Chobani extra creamy oat milk is so yummy. It’s like coffee creamer already so I have to water it down if I want it on my cereal, but yum.
