I’m going to try these again because I trust you and normally you use tide and I used to be a tide lover until they added borax. I just ordered my first shipment. Thank you
I’ve been using these for about 4 months as well. I am very impressed with them.
Made in China, I used for couple years, they do work easy to unsubscribe, but I'm going to look for usa made.
Just put the crumpled pieces of pancake in a bowl, warm them up in the microwave and top with a little melted butter and syrup. I’m sure they’re completely still edible…just make a pancake “bowl” and eat with a spoon rather than eating them on a plate with a fork. 😊
And put a big handful of blueberries on top! Yummy.
Good idea!
I think this might actually be a better way to eat them, sounds so good lol
I love re-inventing leftovers. My husband does not eat a "visual" leftover. Not even baked chicken. So I have to make it look brand new. He is none the wiser. (I think). I used leftover shredded chicken last night to make chicken fajita grilled burritos. He loved them. I will eat ANYTHING. Love your clean out the fridge meals. Very budget friendly.
My husband is the same usually for dinner. Now he does eat chicken or tenderloin or burgers for his lunch but I wish he would eat other things for leftover dinner. One of my oldest eat leftovers if we have any. My youngest don’t unless it’s pasta. I wish they weren’t so picky. 😞 I LOVE Italian food and they don’t other than spaghetti….So it’s hard at times to meal plan but I get it done lol.
I cut up leftover baked chicken or turkey with the leftover gravy . Put it in a 9x13 put biscuits on top and bake it . I call it turkey/chicken pie ! He loves it ! If your hubby will eat vegetables add those . I make homemade biscuits but I am sure you could use canned . Thought I would share an idea with another wife of a picky man !!! 😁 God bless !
I feel like people shouldn’t call anything from the refrigerator a leftover because for whatever reason that has a bad reputation. Do we really think that a restaurant cooks everything from scratch? Call everything ‘prepped’ and get to work, people… Reuse or repurpose!!!
Haha! That’s a great point! I like the way you think!
Out of habit, I was planning my grocery run a few weeks back. Then I realized I didn't have room in the refrigerator!😂 What would Mindy do? I pulled everything thing out, cleaned, and prepped what I had. I went another 10 days!
Yogurt and berries were everywhere! My favorite prep is cooked quinoa, plain yogurt, and cut-up berries. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Yummy 😋
Love this! Great job!
This was the one pointer I made last time Mindy did a tips on saving money video... get rid of that notion you have to do a weekly "shop." Since I've changed my habit of a "weekly" haul, I find we often can go 10-12 days. Some frequencies may be less than a week, but only to pick up a small amount of essentials. We definitely spend less this way.
What I do with the browned ground beef (taco meat) is freeze it in a baggy and freeze it. Will do this intentionally to have another meal come together even faster. Work once. Love it!
Great way of using the crushed pancakes is to crumble them over pudding, ice cream, yogurt etc for dessert.
Love this, "save the leftover and reintroduce as new"! I do this alot and my family is always glad to eat it. Sometimes though, it's just more like, well, we got to eat. That creates thankfulfulness! It is amazing how well we eat as Americans compared to other countries/provinces...great video and energy!
I agree completely. Sometimes it’s just a meal. Not every one has be the most amazing thing ever.
I am on to Earth Breeze as well and love 💕 this product. Also love that they will support sending their product to dog shelters! Appreciate how this video is utilizing left over food and making something new and interesting for dinners! ✅
I've been "binge watching" your older videos from different playlists and, sister, I am so glad I found your channel. I am 72 years old and started cooking for my Dad & I when I was 14...yes, 14...but that was1965. Your recipes/meal ideas/pantry challenges are so dear to me coz I been doin' them for years...Bless you, Mindy....and your family...J
“Don’t worry, I won’t eat all this cookie dough…now.”🤣 when you know, you know.
Love your videos. You remind me of my mom. You’re such an inspiration for cooking simple, money saving meals
That fridge cleanout was impressive! :)
That's my favorite kind of video, because it is relatable in each country. Living in Germany makes it difficult sometimes to get the same ingredience or calculate the same prices for products. Also i love your creativity on the things you have ❤ much appreciate your content, Videos and that you stay real!
I love making cranberry oatmeal cookies they really are good. Love this video because I am always trying to find leftover ideas. Its hard cooking for 2 lol I always end up freezing things.
NEVER thought of putting drink mix packets in yogurt. Mind blown!
Hi Mindy i really enjoy your Videos! There is a way to use crushed Pancakes. Take yoghurt add fruits of your choice (or let them Out) and the Pancake peaces top it with chocolate chunks and caramel Sauce! It tastes like dessert....
This is exactly what I am doing for the next week so I can avoid going to the store. I want to use as much as we can before meal prepping for a six week surgery recovery time that is coming up soon. Great ideas, you are always so creative with your meals. 😊
Thank you! Best to you for a quick and complete recovery.
@@SeeMindyMom thank you!
So true! Are grandma made it on so little. Now that I have done a month of pantry challenges I relieved how much I waste! Flour, sugar goes so far vs buying bread, muffins, cookies
I cleaned my refrigerator out over 2 weeks ago WHAT a mess ! I had been battling depression and just had no energy until then. I have managed to keep it clean and manageable for over two weeks tossing very very little during that time.
I have been cooking one protein to last for 2-3 days [ I cook for one person ] and relying more on canned and frozen vegetables to round out meals. I have also lowered the carbs I eat and have lost close to 4 pounds.
I plan on sticking to my new process as well as my cooking plan. It really helped that I made an inventory of my freezer
Cranberries go very well in applesauce cookies too!
Love your channel and the wonderful calming-meets-practical vibe!! Extra enjoying your video today because I'm in the same boat - lots of meals planned, lots of leftovers, and a bit burned out on cooking, so thanks for the inspo!
That’s exactly how I was feeling. You got this!
In my part of the world *Iowa* we make taco pizza with a sauce of Refried Beans and taco sauce and once it comes out of the oven it gets topped with lettuce, tomatoes and crushed up doritos.
I am always curious how long people keep leftovers, open condiments, etc.
For the crumbled pancake, you can pop those in an 8x8 pan and put some crumbled bacon and 6 eggs for like a French toast casserole.
Yes!!!! Love oatmeal cranberry cookies 😋
Hey Mindy! Happy Spring. These are always my favorite type of your videos. Thank you 😊
This last 2 weeks was probably my most successful time of doing this in my home and not really grocery shopping. Mostly thanks to you. I’ve been watching these videos from you for over a year now and I am finally getting the hang of it.
Great job!
You look and are beautiful without enhancements ❤
Mindy, I love how creative you are! I can look in my fridge full of food and have no clue what to make for dinner.
You can do it!
When I feel this way, I type the ingredients into Google and watch the suggestions come.
Just for kicks, try using unflavoured, unsweetened yoghurt instead of sour cream with nachos. I was sick of buying a tub of sour cream for a couple of tablespoons and then wasting the rest. I now find I prefer the tanginess greek yoghurt over the richness of sour cream any day , and just dont bother with sour cream for savoury dishes
Mindy has shown this as an option quite a few times. I love plain Greek yogurt, it's such a beautiful canvas. I cannot do this trick with family meals though because they just love their sour cream too much. The plus to this however, is that sour cream doesn't get wasted in my house, lol.
Another great video of useful information.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks, Alma!
@@SeeMindyMom you're welcome, friend.
Feed those pancakes to the birds!
Great ideas! The pizza looks great !
Nice work! Love any video that encourages reducing food waste…but also not shopping when you have enough at home saves you time and money. I’m not a coffee drinker but wondering if freezing the oat milk latte “creamer” in ice cubes would work if you can’t finish it in time. I could see dropping a cube or two into a hot coffee or chai.
With all due respect, I found that the type of refrigerator a person has is key. Most of them designed are so inefficiently. I recently changed to a Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator. I don't have "hidden" food problems anymore. This refrigerator is perfect for organizer bins. Such an efficient design. Awesome for anyone who entertains as well. Any "leftovers" I have go on the large top shelf. Easy to see and use! Just my opinion!❤
I try to repurpose everything we have leftover and I appreciate your videos that give me ideas I haven’t thought of on my own!
Glad I can give some ideas. Thanks for watching, Christina!
I have been looking at the Moka pots but was unsure if it would be difficult. Thanks for the mini tutorial and for another great video. 😀
I’m in the same boat. I started consciously meal planning and prepping several years ago and every now and then I have to have an “eat everything you have” week. I’ve got cooked winter squash, mushrooms, parsnips, cabbage, potatoes, pasta and beans already. That’s the makings for a week’s worth of meals already. I have some sandwich meat and chicken thighs thawing and beef bones in the crockpot for stock. I’m not cooking anything more. It’s going to be creative combinations all week.
Thanks for the ideas! I’m gonna have to try the taco pizza next time I have leftover taco meat. My husband would love that!
I have that same bread machine (got it for my bridal shower 8 years ago) and use it lots to make sprouted wheat bread nearly every week. I use my kitchenaid with the dough hook to make pizza/Stromboli dough.
We love taco pizza! I make refried beans and stir in a little salsa to thin it out. So delicious. I have been really trying to use up what we have on hand. 🙂
The pepita salsa at Trader Joes is so good in refried beans!
@Susan Witte there is no TJs by me. I have been buying the Taco Bell salsa. Everybody here likes it which is rare.
I love your cleaning out the fridge videos! Dried cranberries are delicious in cookies, with or without chocolate chips.
Hope you and your family had a great Spring Break!
Great job!
I would have taken the nectarine and cubed it with any other fruit or nuts. Sugar and cinnamon. Crumbled pancakes with the cookie dough on top and bake. Don’t waste
It's hard to clear out the fridge/cabinets/kitchen when you have 3-4 people with their own separate weekly meal/diets sharing the same storage areas. While I did go out and bought my own separate freezer, I don't think my household need another fridge for what essentially, going to be the exact same items (dairy/veggies/home-made sauces/pickles). It's the pickling of last year's produce that is taking up most of the space in the fridge.
I'm in the same boat. And because some of us do share in the same food, I'll think something is gone when it's not and then I'm mad about wasted food...
I made oatmeal cookies and used dried cherries instead of raisins it was yummy
I also have a Moka Pot and milk frother, I feel so fancy when I use it. 😊 Great tip to use a drink packet to flavor yogurt, I’m looking forward to trying it. Have a blessed weekend!
Amazing clean-out fridge video! You're so creative with leftovers and things you have.
Tonight’s plan is to take leftover meatloaf- and change it into taco soup! 😉 We’ll see how that works out. I’ll keep you updated.
My husband was gifted a moka pot from one of his coworkers and it is so cool, we love it. Also, my kids don't seem to like cooked veggies all that much so we usually end up just setting out a platter of fresh cut up veggies to eat with dinner. 🤷♀️
I love fresh veggies way more than cooked.
@SMM Idk if you ever make bread pudding, I might include the pancakes in there (although some people consider it old people food ☺️) but we like it for breakfast at my house… Also, if a piece of fruit is on the verge of being unusable, I try to cook it into a little fruit sauce. 🤷🏻♀️
I'm using leftover taco meat tonight to make a taco crescent ring.
Those are good!
cool
I always end up throwing out leftovers because everywhere I read it says 3 days for cooked food is as long as it is safe in the fridge...
My dad went to food safety school and food inspection was one of his duties as a vet in the military, so he’s always my go-to on those standards for our household. You do what you see fit. :)
@@SeeMindyMom that's just it, seems rigid and have always wondered north vs south, etc. We keep milk in our garage in the winter and have to defrost it when we bring it in...seems like climate should impact it.
Have you thought about freezing the leftovers in individual portions? It seems so wasteful to throw everything away.
@@kevinanddeb8829 Yass on the ‘garage fridge’ I stick food out there when the temp is right, produce is fine out there and if course drinks!
@@MaterialGirl453 I do that sometimes too. My family just aren't good about eating the leftovers. I have been trying to make less.
Unsung hero of the videos: the clean white with semibronzed-black hardware cabinets.
Broken pancakes thrown in a pan in a NuWave are awesome, with cottage cheese for breakfast 😊
An idea for the pancakes pieces and crumbs could be to sprinkle with cinnamon and put in a low oven to make croutons for ice cream and other desserts.
That laundry soap didn't work for us..but then I have to use laundry mate and no soap works in them...we just look like trash all the time😔 regardless of what I use.
Looks like you shop at Whole Foods too, from the 365 products. Can you do a video of a budget haul from Whole Foods?
I had leftover taco meat so I put in casserole dish with salsa, yellow rice, black olives & shredded cheese. Bake it in the oven 20 mins and taste so good. I had it with some tortillas chips.
I bought a moka pot from a garage sale for a quarter… it was an old Bialetti one.
The best quarter I’ve spent in a very long time 🤭
My kids absolutely love taco pizza on Naan bread
I use Earth Breeze, too! It’s been really good now that I put it in the detergent drawer for my top loading he washer (the directions say that I could just throw the soap sheet on top of the clothes, but I found that it wasn’t dissolving that way - it would be stuck half dissolved to the drum wall). Love the video (as usual)
I usually dissolve my detergents before adding them to my washer anyway, so I do that with the sheets and it works great! I order 2 packages every other month, it’s been great
I *love* watching clean out videos. Awesome job, girl!
Thank you for the ideas I need to start cleaning out my pantry and make meals, idk why I get clueless and lost at times when I don't know what to make. So I decided last week to write out meals on a notepad to see if I could/ make the meal and if I have the ingredients lol it can be a challenge when you have a picky eater who always wants potatoes and pasta
Next time use some grated orange zest in those oatmeal cranberry cookies! I make them and call then Craisy cookies 😅
I have a lot of vanilla Greek yogurt so I’ve been putting granola and blueberries in them.
The only problem with these videos is I fall into a black hole when I start watching them lol
This is a great video! Great ideas! I hope you post a video about your H‑E‑B trip!
Great video! Lost of useful info!!! Thank you!
Why the plastic bag? A crock pot is so easy to clean.
If you store cottage cheese and sour cream upside-down, they will stay fresher longer.
Good to know!
I did not know that! I stored them upside down to get more in my fridge 😂
LOVE Earth Breeze! Im so glad I gave it a try.
“Bacon waste would be tragic.” 😂😂 Amen, sista!! As usual, fabulous ideas. Thanks, Mindy.
@@katiegarland8235 Truth!
I make those biscuits. They are the best!!! I'm going to buy some Tortellini and make that casserole. My fridge looked like yours a few days ago, so I'm using up all the leftovers too. Soon I will go to the store. I like how you used your leftovers for different meals. Very creative! Thanks for the ideas and sharing real life!
Thanks, Kathy!
Great video! You are such a creative cook! I have a hard time cooking without a recipe. The taco pizza and your yogurt bowl looked especially delicious! I wish you could come to my home to make meals with the items in my refrigerator and pantry. I have so many little bits of things to use up and I don't want them to go to waste!
You did a great job clearing things out.
As a single I often has to makeover leftovers. Something’s have been more successful than others. I also freeze a lot of leftovers too.
I ran out of eggs and creamer today, but I have banned myself from the grocery store because I went crazy last week and bought half the store.
Mindy you did such a great job cleaning out the fridge! Can I just tell you that I love you?!?
❤❤❤
I have tomatoes soup left over and boiling pumpkin and broccolli to add to soup I have apples and an orange fruit salad for dessert
You go Mindy mom! Excellent video!!! So hard to not go to the store but I Luke leftovers! Had them growing up...well till dad got sick of them hee hee. Wonderful reminders!
I use up yogurt by making “Waldorf” salad with chopped apples, nuts and craisins. Definitely prefer cranberries to raisins in oatmeal cookies
I have one of those coffee contraptions. Initially I was burning the coffee, but with practice is will be fine. And even cheaper than pods, which I am getting bored with, especially because I like black coffee. I want to get the timing right and then I will use it instead of pods as often as possible. Thank you for the video!
This was amazing! My family hates normal leftovers so I have to hide them in something "new" 😂 thank u for all the tips!
Oatmeal craisin white choc chips are our FAVORITE. People we know ask us to make them when we contribute cookies.
Mindy you have great idears I have hamburger left.i going to make your crockpot recipes tonight. Thanks.
We absolutely love Earth Breeze. We've been using it for almost a year.
Hey! I have a similar frother that works great. Much better than the frother that came with the espresso machine!
I could have gone a few more days but I had to get some items while my husband is home and I can’t drive yet. But I did go an extra 6 days by using up and looking around the fridge for what we had
You can take your left over pancakes that get smooched and feed it to your chickens or just toss out to the birds. I do that with pancakes, waffles or ends of bread.
Looks like my fridge
I use clothespins too!
The Chobani extra creamy oat milk is so yummy. It’s like coffee creamer already so I have to water it down if I want it on my cereal, but yum.
White chocolate craisin oatmeal cookies sound delicious, I bet those were a hit! I’m going to give it a go soon!
Always makes me feel so good when I force myself to clean out the fridge and not be "wasteful" some of our best meals are random meals! 😂
Bacon waste 😱 haha
This was me this week 😂 I had to try really hard to reinvent some leftovers this week to get them used up lol!
You did such a great job eating your leftovers up! Yay!! I need to take a good look in mine and get cracking too.❤
