Them editor in cut knows what they're doing 😂
boulderarms I mean all she did was laugh and say she got honeycomb because she loves honeycomb. It’s probably awkward laughter because she’s feeling judged about her purchase
boulderarms I understand what you mean. I wouldn’t consider my family rich necessarily especially compared to the girl in the video, but I’m definitely privileged financially and was confronted by that fact throughout high school where my school was located in a district where around 70% of students were below the poverty line I believe. It was a really jarring experience to be directly confronted by my privilege every day and I think it would help most financially fortunate people to have to go through a similar experience. Volunteering also helps but unless it’s a full time volunteering opportunity like Americorps I don’t think it gives the same perspective. Having said that, all this happened while I was underage and with my parents I could have just as easily ended up in a school in a more wealthy area and never gotten that perspective and become somewhat of a toned down version of this woman. She seems to have gone straight from high school to college, and her parents forced that on her, I think it’s largely their fault for not letting her have to struggle with the real world for a bit and gain some perspective. She seems to not know how fickle an acting career really is, so I think letting her go out and try it for herself offering only limited assistance while she starts off would have done a world of good for her. As it is now, I can’t really blame her for not having perspective because she hasn’t been given much of a chance to gain any
Merry Berry because everyone is judging her 🤣
Yeah. Like, it's one thing to have your parents help you with money (like the guy whose parents pay his rent), but it's another thing entirely to have no self awareness and be irresponsible.
i love how smart the jump cuts were in this, like when they asked about parties and the mom said she never has them then it shows the frat guy has them twice a week, or the actress whos mom helped her after spending all her money in nyc vs the girl who only falls out with her parents over money, it really puts a lot of things into perspective and also shows how unique and different everyones college experience is
The guy who lives in a frat and has two a week, tbh that probably isn't even his own choice, that's just the fraternity

@@taddykabba9100 which I find odd... since when was having a good life a bad thing? If we use that as basis, should I also shit on someone with a normal life whenever they’re being compared to a homeless person? I do realizing not acknowledging ones privilege in comparison to others is a bad thing, however, this was a single video, and even then, I only get the feeling that she’s more or less overtly use too the tons of money she gets. I didn’t really get a snobby, “fuck you, you’re just poor” attitude from her. In particular, her statement about debt honestly makes me confused why people ship on her so much
Respect to the women with her daughter. Working damn hard and providing for her family
why is she getting respect more than anyone else in this video? she's the one who chose to get pregnant at a young age.
sk5381 that’s not the point . It’s the fact that she knows how to provide for her family . She obviously has been spending her money wisely .
Jos right 🥺💘
sk5381 I had a kid at a young age, personally the action it self is very irresponsible, but I’m currently making 4-5$ more hourly than most of my family members, and pretty soon going to triple that. Some people can make irresponsible choices and can turn it around. I respect her for furthering her education, whilst providing for her family.
sk5381
Her being pregnant at a young age isn’t the part she’s getting respect for. She’s getting respect for the fact that even bough she’s had a kid, she stepping up, putting her ass into gear & getting herself a good education so that she can provide for her child. There’s quite a few parents out there that don’t do that. So she deserves respect.
Also: being a young mum/mom isn’t something negative & shouldn’t be treated as such.

literally sounds like shes in highschool who only thinks of instant gratification and has no concept of whats realistic
I think it has to do with how you grow up than smarts or being spoiled. You need good examples and to practice earning things as a child and young adult so that it's easier to ignore the instant gratification. Some people are very smart, but can't control their compulsions, and then what's so sad is that they eventually hit rock bottom and can't escape the life that they built.
@@Mmmtruk Eh it really just depends on background, not all highschoolers are as privileged as her :/
In her defense, it sounds like she didn’t want to go to college, so it’s technically her parents putting her in that debt (which might explain their willingness to pay for everything else).
It does strike me as slightly frustrating that a parent would consider their child going into tens of thousands of dollars in debt to be “non-negotiable”.
When it comes to student debt, so often it’s the blind leading the blind.

bruh the contrast between glasses girl and the woman with the daughter
Shows that you can spend little money on food and still get fat. Guess thats the U.S for you, huh.I myself use all my money on cheese, flour, tomato sauce and spices and make pizza every other day. Nothing else. It goes without say that most of the money is spent on cheese.
@@theeloquenteccentric8321 heya, not to start shit but the reality in most places is that meat and food with more sugar, fat and carbs are easier to keep edible for longer than fresh produce.
Which is why you'll often see chubby fat and very fat poor people. Yes some people are fat because their diet is poor but even if they can afford the fresh produce, buying, storing and cooking it in genuinely a luxury.
While getting fresh stuff might be cheaper per ounce, there's much more that goes into budgeting meals than just food, it's also time, ability and resources.
I'm talking about:
- ability to get to the store around childcare, work hours, transport issues (including how much you can carry on the train or bus without hurting yourself) and how far away the store is from your residence
- knowing how to cook a meal, having someone to teach you how to make it (even if it's just an online recipe) and having the time to learn how to cook it AND ensuring you don't waste food with mistakes.
- having a fridge, being able to afford the electricity to keep the fridge running, having space for food in that fridge if you share accommodation in order to keep fresh food...fresh (instant noodles don't rot!)
A common example would be: Let's say you've got a fridge and freezer, but you can only get to the store once or twice a month when your Dad or whatever can take you to the grocery store - he will not pay for any food, you must pay him for gas. You cannot buy much fresh veggies or fruit, it will go bad within a week leaving you with food waste you simply can't afford. So you get frozen vegetables, but you can only store so much of it in the little fridge-freezer combo.
You need soap, shampoo and toilet paper, this is an uncommon expense only coming up every 6 to 8 weeks or so, but it still knocks out 1/5th of your budget so now you need to really economise on the food.
You'd like to make soup or something you can store in the freezer but you just can't afford that many containers and you don't have enough time to make that amount of food between work shifts and childcare if you want to sleep.
It's got to be something everyone in the house can and will eat because you cannot afford food waste or to make a specialised meal for someone as that would take double the amount of money spent on food and you do still have rent, utilities and other living costs.
You end up getting ground beef to freeze, canned pasta sauce and dry spaghetti because hey, at least it won't go bad.
This turned into a Lot but just be aware that we all have to eat to live and sometimes the "worst" choice is the only choice.
Yeah the contrast is the glasses girl didn't choose to have a child? Hence she could spend it on whatever the fuck she wanted. Amazing how that works.

It’s fine to be wealthy and use that wealth to provide a comfortable life for your family, but PLEASE teach your kids how privileged they are and not to be ignorant and tone deaf towards people who are less fortunate. Also, a lot of people are coming after the girl in the white shirt because of how privileged she is, but many of you fail to realize that a lot of you live in some of the wealthiest countries in the world. Just the fact that you even have access to food banks and post secondary education is an incredible privilege when looked at globally.

I don’t understand why people are attacking her for being privileged ... like you aren’t trying to live as comfortable as her? I think she’s lucky for being able to not have money as a big worry in her life. She’s out of touch, but thats what happens when you get people of different financial backgrounds and compare them back to back. Her answers just show how she lives life compared to the other participants who aren’t so fortunate.
It's not even that she's 'privileged per se, I think people are more annoyed by how spoiled and clueless she sounds (and yes you can have privilege without being spoiled).
The most annoying people I deal with are the ones who will insult me for my privilege while blatantly ignoring their own, I've had classmates tell me I'm disgustingly privileged because I have a very well paying job(started working at 15 in the industry alongside other part time jobs I had in high school) and pay my own way, while they ignore that their parents pay for everything, from their rent to school expenses to credit cards they use for non essentials such as everyday fast food, new clothes, expensive electronics, hobby supplies, endless random trinkets from online stores, etc while also insulting my second hand/homemade clothes, "outdated" electronics, homemade packed meals, and couponing

The moment that white girl said eating out isn’t costly. The trust fund baby alarm started going off.
My ex-roommate was exactly like her. Her $700/month allowance (besides tuition/rent) wasn't enough so she tried to get a sugar daddy and start an onlyfans
She sounded sarcastic at that part
When I heard that all I could think about was the time that it was a weekend and the buses weren't running it would cost more to take a lift down to the grocery store because the grocery store was like 7 miles away from campus and I was so hungry that I bought a pizza with coupons and I think it came out to maybe $17 with the tip and I was just beating myself up all week about spending that much money on just one thing that I ended up lasting about a week because it was a pretty big pizza and I do double coupons but I was so upset that I nearly spent my entire weeks budget which is $20 on one meal even though I hadn't spent any money the week before. That's the reality that I think most people who live in poverty have where you think about every single thing that you buy everything that you spend because it all adds up the end of the month I've pushed because it all adds up the end of the month I've pushed back getting medications and going to the doctor before just because I was so scared of how much it was going to cost and that if I wasn't really sick I was just feeling crummy I would have spent so much to the point where I ended up getting mono and strep at the same time and the doctor basically telling me you need to get these medicines or you are going to die and me finally having to bite the bullet and pay the $75 for antibiotics

On one hand USA gives you the freedom to really earn a shit ton of money but on the flipside you can also be on the losing side of the table and that’s where things get really bad in the US.
