Hello, to make the chocolate sail I used the Ghirardelli, Candy melts. Any candy melt will work fine.
Great tutorial!
Thank you Colleen
Is there an alternative to alcohol?
Can i use parchment paper for sugar sails also?
I am not sure because I haven't tried it that way. Let me know if you do please.
Its wafer or white chocolate?
Thank you!!❤
Wow! Thank you!👏👏👏❤️❤️
Thank you for watching this tutorial, hope it was helpful to you.
Do I still need to temper the chocolate before using?
I used chocolate wafers, you just need to melt them in the microwave.
Thank you very much
Can we add any other things to gold dust ?
You can try lemon extract but I am not sure if it works the same as alcohol, everclear or vodka
You can add sugar syrup..1: 1 ratio water sugar just melt in microwave
So beautiful
Thank you.
V nice..❤🌷🌿
So memorising 😍😍😍😍
Thank you Amanda
Good job
Just a heads up, the gold powder that is linked and used in the video is not edible
Yes, the one linked is used for decoration only. You can use a brand that is edible and approved by the FDA.
👍 👍 👍
I love this video! Most videos are too long, too slow and I lose interest right away. This one was perfect.
Hi Bobbi, I am glad to hear that the tutorial is of service.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🥰
I tried painting with gold dust and alcohol and it just beaded up.
Try with less alcohol, it should be like a paste. Add more alcohol drop by drop to adjust consistency.
You cannot use this gold dust on food. It is not edible! Please don't use this in your cakes etc.
Can this gold powder be used if it is to be eaten?
I would just remove the topper before cutting the cake. You can also buy an edible highlighter.
