It's nice to hear Billy talk about the only true Giant of modern day wrestling, 100 times he faced Andre, wow!, that would take a toll on any man. Billy wasn't a little man himself at 6' 4" and 275lbs., but he surely looked small compaired to Andre, but then again, everyone looked small standing next to The Giant. Like Billy said, God rest the Soul of the gentle Giant. He was a treat to see.
Two phenomenal wrestlers. I remember in my youth, buying Dan Lurie's MAGAZINE, 'Muscle Training Illustrated'. SUPERSTAR Billy Graham used to be featured in the Mag and even competed in Lurie's CONTESTS, WBBG. Man, the Arms on Graham were unreal and he did win best arms Bodypart 🏆(back when they had separate categories), many times. And this guy WASN'T just for show. Great inspiration to me and I'm sure hundreds of thousands more.
André was a gentle giant, he didn't want to hurt people. And Superstar Billy Graham is also a really nice guy with a gentle heart and big muscles. I hope he will be around for many more years! And for André, he died long ago in 1993, may his soul rest in peace!

I absolutely loved the Superstar Billy Graham growing up..he's still just a class act :-) Andre the giant was always amazing..I look at his pics and think "Wow, this guy was the REAL Kurgan!" lol
I'm reasonably sure that if I'd been a wrestler in that locker room back in the 70's and 80's, my first order of business would have been to befriend Andre as soon as humanly possible and make sure I spent the rest of my career never getting on his bad side. Superstar was clearly one of the smarter ones backstage to have done that. lol

I'll one more time and maybe the last time tell my Andre story. I'm not young either. I used to run a service station known as Parkerfield service center. And before the Richmond colosseum was built I got to met many wrestlers Sting, Piper, Flair with The Hammer and both were fucking drunk. The list is too long to name but Andre came in one day and I noticed the car raised like 2 inches, Lincoln limo . and he asked for the bathroom, he was a bad guy under Bobby Henan then. I offered a drink and he said sure. I handed my bottle of rebel yell and he downed the last 1/3rd like it was a sippy cup. Then I gave him a beer, which you couldn't see in his hand. I told him sorry this was all I had on hand and I know he was used to better being raised in France. He said I take what I can get and gave me tickets to the nights event. Remember he was a bad guy then but I had back stage passes. Andre was the nicest person I ever met. How he was so hated in the ring I can't understand to this day being he was so nice! Before he left I asked Bobby about the booze and he said it would take 3 more bottles and a case of beer and a create of wine before he would even have a buzz.
Not know about being called Boss, He called me that. I thought he was just respecting I owned the place, but this was a sign of respect which Andre used though out his career. I can't be more honored or moved! I loved you, you super sized teddy bear!
To imagine how big Andre was, watch a video of WWE hall a famer Ernie Ladd describing Andre size. Exactly what BG is saying here, about his hands and ring finger. Ernie was 6'9 300+ pounds, at the time hailed the biggest NFL player in the early 60's . He also wrestled after the NFL . So if his two fingers fit into Andre ring, he was truly the biggest man in wreslting.
