I could listen to Demolition's stories on the road all day. Just seeing them so cheerful, especially Bill. I'm used to seeing him being serious. But here, they're loving it.
easy there the better team to me (ax and smash) demo was ruined when crush came in though. and yea I used to watch the road warriors back in the nwa days.
Just looked it up. As of the day I'm writing this in 2017, Ax is 69 and Smash is 57. I had no idea the age difference was that substantial between the two.
Each Andre The Giant story keeps getting better and better. I would've liked to have had a conversation with him just to hear about his life in general. I'll bet even his NON wrestling / drinking tales would be legendary.
More great interviews !!!! Amazing work, Hannibal. These guys are great. Masked Superstar deserves his own induction into the HOF aside from that of Demolition. I was also at Deep south and left just before you arrived.
I remember either Royal Rumble #1 or #2 these were the first two guys picked they had to fight each other for two minutes and then Andre came in and they double teamed him for two minutes.
In their prime Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow 6'2-6'3 and 250-260lbs would dwarf regular people, sharing the ring with the ultra-thick Haku and man-mountain Andre. Man, 80's was the true era of giants.
Did you really follow up his: "It's just sad that a lot of our friends died real young." with "Do you have any drinking stories about Andre?" Listen when your interview subjects are talking!
Carey Elwes wrote a book called As You Wish. It was a behind the scenes look at the making of the Princess Bride. Andre took him out drinking in New York one night. I think it was before they started shooting over in England, but it’s been a few years since I read it so my timeline might be off. He said one of Andre’s favorite drinks was something Andre called the American. Basically, take a beer pitcher and fill it with several different types of liquor. He’d drink several of those. A pitcher holds about a gallon. In Andre’s hand that pitcher looked like a pint glass in a regular person’s hand.
I saw Ax in Sheffield, AL years after his Demolition run...97-99 somewhere in there...about 20-30 people in there lol...in a basketball gym. I remember a tape deck being set out on the ring by someone before his match and they played their music when he came in. I was calling him old and he said "SHUT UP KID!"
Remember a lot of Demolition vs. Haku and Andre matches at the end of his career. Andre could barely make it to the ring and did little more than stand on the apron.
when i was about 7-8 years old I had front row tickets at providence Civic Center right down the entrance where the wrestler walk to ring.....best seats in building for kids I remember Ax giving all the kids his hand as he walked down and I grabbed his wrist as hard as i could.......he tried to pull his hand out and didn't get it back on the first tug but the 2nd tug I think he almost pulled me over the railing true story
One thing I have noticed through the years is that wrestlers were forever pulling ribs on each other. However ... I have noted that no one ever screwed with a certain Mr Roussimoff. No ribs were played on him.....basically you didn't fuck with André.
They're still making very good money doing it. Hard to say no to money and fans at the events they do want to see them in their paint. This interview was recorded in the dressing room prior to a Great North Wrestling match they had in May 2016.
@@TheHannibalTV I do not dream of wealth and greed, money is the root of all evil, for what does it gain a man to inherit the whole world but lose his eternal soul....
what a bunch of gents. truly worked in an amazing age in WWE.
Yeah until Vince screwed them and the fans.
Should already be in the hof
@@johncurtis3382 Last I heard, that'd never happen because they tried to chew the company out for having them work while recovering from concussions.
I could listen to Demolition's stories on the road all day.
Just seeing them so cheerful, especially Bill. I'm used to seeing him being serious. But here, they're loving it.
The interviewer gave them both BJ's before the shoot just to relax them, it's a technique he learned from Lord Alfred Hayes
***** I like to think Bill and Barry aren't about cock favours for smiles.
But Judo Hayes was notorious for it.
***** You think of bisexuality with kids quite a lot don't you sir.
Come to think of it, that's all you ever say.
***** Here's a challenge you sick fucker.
I know it goes against the rules of trolling, but try to retort without sounding like pervert.
+stufaman is there a cash prize for this challenge?
I could listen to these two guys for days!
I don't blame you! They truly are from the golden days of the WWF.
Bill Eadie is a very intelligent man . Have a lot of respect for him and Barry Daresow
Eadie MAY be the best pro wrestler of all times!
I love these interviews. They both seem to have good attitudes about their experiences. Wish I could listen to these all day.
Love listening to these stories about former WWF Wrestlers ... sad that so many have past on, DEMO are my all time Tag Team!! RIP Andre :(
I agree bro. I think the best show on the network is story time. I could listen to old wrestling stories all day.
Still my favorite tag team of all time demolition. Always loved there finishing move.
oriondx72 how could u rate demolition above LOD ?
easy there the better team to me (ax and smash) demo was ruined when crush came in though. and yea I used to watch the road warriors back in the nwa days.
I just found these clips of the interview and these two are PROFESSIONALS. I agree with many here, I can listen to their stories again and again
Just looked it up. As of the day I'm writing this in 2017, Ax is 69 and Smash is 57. I had no idea the age difference was that substantial between the two.
Ax looks excellent for 69 and can still mix it up with wrestlers in their 20's better than most legends.
Andre would be 71 if he was still alive today.
Glad to see these guys!! You guys are wonderful.
This brought back so much memorys good memorys when i was a child my favorite tag team demolition
You can tell by how well these two have aged, that they did not take to much gear. Many teams that had a better look are either dead or look rough
Yea these 2 look like they could still kick a**
My brother and I favorite tag team growing up growing up. Had the fortunate pleasure of meeting great guys
I could listen to Andre the giant stories all day.
Oh wait, i.am lol
These guys are the best & can still kick ass long live Demolition
I never get tired of hearing Andre's drinking stories and huku's toughness.
Each Andre The Giant story keeps getting better and better. I would've liked to have had a conversation with him just to hear about his life in general. I'll bet even his NON wrestling / drinking tales would be legendary.
Love listening to these guys. Never knew Bill (Ax) was so much older (11 years) than Barry (Smash).
loving this andre stories, thank you!!!
More great interviews !!!! Amazing work, Hannibal. These guys are great. Masked Superstar deserves his own induction into the HOF aside from that of Demolition. I was also at Deep south and left just before you arrived.
GNW is the best channel to listen to shoot stories from the legends. Demolition is high on the list.
I really love this guys. They`ve been so powerful and entertaining always. My fav tag team with the Outsiders of all time.
IMO the loudest pop of the night at WM6 was when Demolition won the tag titles!!! That place exploded!!
The one and only Andre the giant.
I could listen to these two all day.
I can't get enough of hearing of Andres beer drinking stories . Huge man , huge legacy !
Man these guys are great!
Always such great stories about Andre
Love these guys even more out of the ring.
One of my all time favourite tag teams next to the Hart Foundation and British Bulldogs. Truly a pair of class acts and generally nice gentlemen.
Never get tired of hearing people talk about Andre
My favorite tag team. These two are the best!!
The Demolition was 1 of the koolest tag team for me as a kid glad there still alive i still bump Demolition theme to this day 2024 😎
It's almost like talking to your crazy uncle sharing stories lol.
I miss the old WWE days 😢
I remember either Royal Rumble #1 or #2 these were the first two guys picked
they had to fight each other for two minutes and then Andre came in and they double teamed him for two minutes.
It was the 2nd royal rumble, Big John Stud won the rumble that year
love andre the giant drinking stories
love these guys
i love the old stories -priceless-

yeah man!!
101! Divide that by 10 and most people would still be hammered
If it's true.
These guys are cool they never talk trash about wrestlers
LEGENDS MY FAVOURITE TAG TEAM OF ALL TIME
❤
Thanks for this... how these guys aren't in the HOF is baffling.
Vince wants the rights to the Demolition gimmick...
Murdoch trying to outdrink Andre! Good luck doing that!
Honestly don't reckon there's any man in the history of the world that would ever have out drank Andre.
Carey Elwes wrote a book called As You Wish. It was a behind the scenes look at the making of the Princess Bride.

I still kick myself for not shaking Bill's hand or getting his autograph when he wrestled at the fair in my hometown back around 1999.
Great stuff, hope Andre rests where ever he is legend. 101 beers I've done 2.8 litres of vodka, but it ain't 101 beers
Its hard to believe that all the greats are passing on

holy shit andre drank 100 beers jesus christ he drank the whole bar lol r.i.p andre 1 of a kind.
100 beers to him would be like 20 to a normal guy .
Greatest tag team wrestlers of all times. What is the name of the German restaurant they were talking about?
Remember a lot of Demolition vs. Haku and Andre matches at the end of his career. Andre could barely make it to the ring and did little more than stand on the apron.
hall of fame bound
there not in ?????....WTF
imagina Andre your Godfather.....hahaha....id make one phone call if anyone messed with me....GAME OVER.....hahhaaha
2:17 Repo Man's face is like holy shit let me say something lol
Cab driver said, no no no, lol.

Very entertaining reading all the comments from these Internet black belt keyboard warriors
"Internet black belt keyboard warriors" 😂

Darsow kind of has the Ace Frehley make up look.
My idols.
They were at Dunn's? I once was there too...
Andre The Grant Rip Andre the Grant!!!
They are two great and smart men who should be in the hall of fame for their accomplishments by the way whatever happened to Barry darsows.son dakota
As reminds me of Michael Madsen in kill bill
Sorry I meant ax
Superstar!
Would be good if they put the camera a bit lower see we could see axes package
nice guy
very nice fellows and best ever was lucky to go drinking with smash working sercurity for them and great fellows to drink with very kind
a 101 beers? sheesh
Demolition, The Can AM Connection and The Hart Foundation were the best ever.
There were some great tag teams in that era.
My favourite was the bulldogs.
Way better than LOD in my opinion.
Oh my gents. Laddies and lassies alike. Alack and alay. Ooo my. Wrastlers wrastlin. 😂🤣
I still think it's a childish move that WWE had to make the new day surpass their winning streak.
If haku and Barb were unscripted could they had just beat anybody they wanted it looked like to me they could
Even now that there older with the face paint they still look the same.
Decent guys
God getting old sucks!
dont let smash talk much do they
Ax was the much bigger star and older. The masked superstar was a big deal in the 70s.
"The Demos Will Get You" :----
Who are these juggalos??
giantbeerburper Juggalos?! That’s the problem with today’s generation
Smh
Only one of the greatest tag teams ever in the WWF. Longest reigning World Tag Team title holders before it was retired.
guys, give up the face paint already, lmao
Kurt They are Axe and Smash. Axe and Smash wear face paint.
Why don't you wipe it off there face if you don't like it
Bwahahaha
Seem like nice guys, but I had always seen them as knock off to the Road warriors.
I never cared for Demolition. LOD wanna be's...
Grown men with their face painted.
#soupkitchen

mech5 fab someone's jealous they have no face paint 😂
only clowns paint their faces.
They laughed all the way to the bank and I'm sure made more money than you will ever dream of making
