Those lighthouse patterns are so adorable! I love lighthouses as well! Thank you for the magazine flip through. My favorite was the Sweater Weather pattern! I lost my ginger cat last year and so I've been drawn to all ginger cat patterns. I wrote it down so I can remember to search for it. Thanks again for sharing!

So sorry to hear of your step-fathers passing. Loss is always difficult to deal with but thought doing a cross stitch project with special meaning would be very comforting. Really enjoy seeing your projects!

@@calico_whimsy yes, January is the perfect time for a kit parade. I want to do the VLOGGING so badly. LOL! I have tried it twice now and something has happened each time that I couldn't VLOG as needed. Eventually I will get it together.

Hi Christine. So sorry for your loss. Stitching a cardinal is a lovely way to reflect and remember the good times with your step-father. The camper is darling! It will be a nice companion to the Aurora borealis design. Im looking forward to seeing the completed butterfly and Halloween felt ornaments. Please share newest additions to your kit collection. Did you finish the pumpkin and gourd design? I’ll have to go back through your videos and see when you last shared progress on that one. Happy crafting!
Thank you Lori! Sadly I have not touched the gorgeous pumpkin/gourd design since last year and that make me very sad! I have big plans to choose a focus wip each month next year and that will be one of the ones I finish. It's soooo close!
Hi Christine. It’s wonderful to see another video from you. I am so sorry for your loss. You found a lovely way to honour is memory with that beautiful cardinal stitch. I have to let you know that you are responsible for my new start! After watching you talking about the Dimensions Gold Petite lighthouses I decided to start my full size Dimensions Gold lighthouse “Guardian of the Sea”. I have had it in my stash for about 20 years. You can tell it is an old one because I had to sort the floss myself! I put the first few stitches into it last night and I have been working on it this morning. I am loving it. I am stitching it for my Dad because he loves lighthouses. I hope you are well and are enjoying your stitching. Best wishes. Kerry. 💜

The cardinal piece is beautiful! It looks so realistic. We have lots of juvenile cardinals coming to our feeders right now. Just wanted to say I was sorry to hear about the loss in your family. What a wonderful way of coping and remembering with a cardinal. Cardinals seem to make things better wherever they are. I had wondered about when the next felt video would be and if you were still doing them and glad to find out that there is not only one but two on the way! I went back and made a comment on your last felt video that you inspired me and that I ordered a couple of Bucilla kits, one for the new Winter Wonderland Santa stocking and the other for its corresponding set of ornaments. I suppose I'll be participating in "September Santa" by default as I've already made a project box for the ornaments and should be starting them real soon! Oh and I would like to see a Dimensions kit special if you decide to do one. :)

I so enjoy your videos. After your Bucilla bird kit one, I was intrigued. I got the same kit for myself and started it - working on the first cardinal right now. I completely understand being diverted! I was working on a mirabilia mermaid for my daughter (which I love to do) but then something compelled me to start the Bucilla kit. I so enjoy doing it and that's thanks to you. My next one will be the reindeer one - don't know if you saw that one. I am a little intimidated by all those skinny reindeer legs but they are so cute - I'm going to make them as well. Have a wonderful day.
Oh!!! Thank you! Those Bucilla kits can really draw you in! Yes, I have seen that adorable Reindeer kit and I had the same thought about those skinny legs, lol! It seems they recommend stuffing the legs with pipe cleaners. There is a spider in the vintage Halloween kit that has some legs like that and if all goes well, I may attempt the reindeer at some point! Happy Crafting!

Condolence on the loss of your step dad. Are you going to stitch more on the piece with the horses can't remember what it is called but it had a mare and foal I loved seeing your progress on it.
