    Glad you are enjoying your puppy, they are a life long commitment, so much joy and tribulations. The puppy stage will pass quickly and you will wonder where time went. Like raising children. Your Pandas are so adorable, and the Milk Hill kits are precious.

    Good to see you as always! I love that little sugar cookie house! I got my first dog a few years ago and I regretted it SO much (my husband was the main reason we got a dog) and I almost hated her for like 6 months. I can totally empathize with those puppy blues! Years later it's okay and I absolutely love her but remembering those times makes me question whether or not we'll ever get a puppy again haha, it really is a full time commitment

    CHRIS!!! Amazing video! I just loved seeing Miss Mary - even if she's still in her menace / land shark phase LOL! Yep, pretty sure those storage bins were Dollar tree GEMS and I wish they would bring them back as permanent items! Your mill hill sundae finish is so flipping cute, I just LOVE how they used beads as the sprinkles. - also, @18:55 they'll still insist they fit on your lap and clamber on up 🤣🤣🤣

      ALSO - the witching hour / demon dog this is so REAL omg. I used to say Lucy's split personality was coming out and I would call her "LOUANN" which she would get the evil zoomies 🙈💯

    Your felt pandas are adorable. Made me laugh when you were talking about your dog at night becoming a demon dog - though I'm sure you're not laughing. Our little dog used to love ice - she would come running whenever we opened the freezer door - I gave her an ice cube every time.

      Haha, yeah I'm sure I'll laugh about our evening demon dog someday....when she's a loving geriatric dog 🤣🤣 At least she's sweet and cuddly in the mornings to make up for it ❤️❤️

    Good to see you were able to post a February update Flosstube! Those pandas are adorable, and I love that Ice Cream Sunday! Mary is too cute. We also have had a dog in the past that would turn into a demon dog at a certain time of day. Hopefully Mary will calm down as she gets a bit older 😂

    Those pandas are so cute!! Glad your finger is doing better! I feel you with new puppy ups and downs. We got a black lab who just turned a year old Feb 4th. He left his litter a little too early if you ask me as we got him at 7 weeks old. There were some days when I thought what the heck did we get ourselves into! Usually those lack of sleep times! And yes there were tears some days! He just got home yesterday from obedience school where he went for the last month. It was so hard for him to be gone but , he is a little more mellow and listens a lot better. He’s a huge lab at 126 pounds so he needs to listen - lol!! Hang in there - they grow so fast that the naughty puppy stage will be over before you know it! Happy stitching - Laura

    Hi Christine, thanks for sharing with us the cute snippets of Mary. Can you guys go to obedience training to help with her rambunctiousness?
    Glad you're getting to do some crafting and that your finger is better. I especially like the ice cream sundae. A. M. Dreamingstitcher is doing a kit/pattern parade series. Since you like kits, too, thought you might want to check it out in case there are any you haven't seen. Take care and see you next time!

    Hi Christine. It was great to see another video from you. I love seeing Mary and I’m very jealous! Everybody seems ti be getting puppies at the moment (including my brother!). I would absolutely love to have another dog but I can’t have one because of my mobility issues. I have enough to be going on with all the cats at the moment! When I had my last dog I had a really rough time with her at the beginning. She was a rescue dog and was about 9 months old but she wasn’t house trained and I don’t know what she had been through but she had a lot of attachment issues. I couldn’t even go out to wash my car without her having loose bowels all over the living room floor. I got there with her in the end and the months of stress I went through were definitely worth it and I had over 13 wonderful years with her. You’ll get there with Mary and, like my Tammy who was also a herding dog, she will be worth it. Oh, and I loved your stitching and felting!! 💜

    Great video Christine! Those Pandas are adorable! 😆 Glad to hear your finger is feeling better. Sending positive vibes that it will continue to heal fully and you can get back to your regular stitching. So sorry to hear your “Mary, the Early Years” chapter has been challenging but I can say that I can identify with you on all of the emotions you described. You are not alone. My last dog (before Ollie) was part Australian Shepherd and I ended up putting her on a schedule too - for my own sanity! But it did get easier and I know things with Mary will get better too. If you ever need to vent or talk through some stuff I’m happy to be a sounding board. If we lived closer I would be happy to bring Ollie over to run sprints around your yard and let him tire Mary out! Take care my friend. ❤ PS. there is no such thing as too much puppy content, not in my book anyway.

      OMG, Ollie and Mary would have a blast!! Thank you for the encouragement, I'm definitely through the worst of it and now I can hardly imagine my life without this crazy pup🩷🩷🩷 ( now if only those baby teeth would fall out 🤣)

      That's a good thought, but I don't think it would've helped. I was about to try a brace of some sort to keep the joint from bending, but now it feels so much better, so I think I'm on the mend! 🤞

    Hi! I just found your channel and am enjoying catching up on all of your stitching adventures. You have a pic of several finishes on your main page including birdhouses, hummingbirds, an owl and a black bear in the snow with a house. Could you share what those last 2 (the owl and the bear) are? I went back a bit in your vlogs but haven't found them yet. Thank you :)

    • @calico_whimsy
      @calico_whimsy  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! Welcome to my channel! I know the bear is from Little House Needleworks called Snowy Pines ( I think) and the Owl is from JBW designs called French Country Owl ( I think, lol). I have a video of all my finishes ( needs to be updated) that you should find on my home page or way back in my early days of cross stitching I had a blog that shows both of these patterns in more detail. Just search Google for Calico Whimsy blogspot! Hope that helps 😊

    The puppy is sweet! Quick question. I saw your cording drill. I have been making cording with a pen and floss taped to my kitchen counter for 25 years. Lol I would love something like that. Is it something you repurposed or is it really sold for cording? Thank you! I will be forever indebted if that makes cording easier.
