He can fake it but, The point where the ic marked would be visible. For the people who have good eyes they will noticed that he cut the video and rotated the ic or changed it.

It's insane. I do a little motherboard / GPU repair but my hand shakes everywhere, I often have to solder back on a resistor or cap I knocked off while soldering/desoldering something else. No way I could hold a chip with so many pins still long enough to reflow it

Even making mistakes... man you make soldering look like an art work! I can see why you get excited because you perfected to the nth degree through hundreds of hours of practice! Little chips, big chips... you got them all down! Now if you'll consistently remember what direction they go on the board! LOL. Just the same it's sweet seeing your work in progress.

Instead of beating yourself up because you put an ic on the wrong way give yourself a pat on the back for noticing. When I was a chef my greatest mentor told me to accept I will make mistakes, but it’s how you react to those mistakes that matters. You didn’t try to reseat the same chip and hope to get away with it, you started again at the beginning. That makes me think if I lived in America I would bring my repairs to you, a man of integrity.

Once while i was handmaking a batch of pcbs that were essentially just intended as display boards i installed the leds on backwards for the entire batch. About 500 boards with three leds each...
Another time and i installed the completely wrong timing crystal on about 20 units. Fun times.

the best tweezers are the ones that have a spring to keep them open. Also having locking needlenose forceps can help. Might buy some of that flux, I'm using the MG Chemicals no-clean flux and it is impossible to squeeze out without heating the tube with a heatgun first. If you try squeezing it out cold, it just pushes past the plunger and makes a big mess

Hi ,please shoe us how you re-ball the chip, including the size of balls and how small they are compared to something that we all can see that is always a standard size on most boards.I think people would really like to see how hard it is when attempting to re-solder a chip like those.also show us the way ball locating masks are used if you could. I for 1 am always fascinated by the TALENT it takes to do something like that. I've been watching more and more of your videos, great work explaining the process.
