I know there is a lot of great riffs by Metallica such as Ride The Lightning, Battery, Enter Sandman, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Damage Inc. etc. So perhaps this is not the only one video with Metallica riffs.. we'll see. Yeah, Metallica write in e standard, but that song is tuned one step lower, so it just sounds more abrasive and crunchy.

@@The_Apothecary i started around the same time as this guy wrote the comment. I can play pretty much all the riffs in this video. But I can't play master and creeping death quite up to speed though.
Great job. I would say as a whole, Master of Puppets is probably the most blend of intricate/creative in this category. If we were arguing "catchy" or "recognizable" to the list, then I think an obvious choice would be "Enter Sandman." With time, I think "Spit Out the Bone" could easily be a Top-15 contender.

Finally a good... GOOD top 10 Metallica Riffs that does.not focus on how mainstream or famous thw sing is.
I believe the only one that missed is Damage Inc, the one just before the solo.
Just a tip: james hetfield plays fade to black riff at 1:51 with alternate picking not down picking. I have tried it and it feels more natural to make it sounds rigth. Anyway great video cheers

Death magnetic is full of riffs. Judas kiss, all nightmare long, cyanide, that was just your life. Broken beaten and scarred, suicide and redemption. Total underated album and unforgiven 3 is amazing

Love the highlighting of RTL MOP and AJFA album tracks, but still think Roam deserved a slot (easily would toss out Leper Messiah of the ones chosen)... otherwise nice list... tough to pick a top 10 riffs from a band like Metallica

Frank Reynolds The Four Horsemen is way better than Mechanix, dude. Mainly because it has more sections and solos, and the Kill' Em All tone is better than the Killing Is My Business one
