Really interested in this car. Unfortunately Tan Chong Motors doesn't do this justice. A Serena owner had his battery fail on him and it took them a month to replace it. Seriously, agent needs to step up their game.

My dad bought it, and I drove it - it really is quite a good drive! The charging is quite quiet, compared to the Prius that my dad used to drive.

Tested this car today, it's comfort like a Toyota, soft steeling, soft suspension, plus soft sofa (buy sofa give you free car), relax sitting inside the driver seat. The reason driving in Singapore people need a comfort car is because Singapore roads come with ruts, bumps, patches and imperfections everywhere. Some drawbacks including a little unnecessary suspension swing during lane changing, but its normal for a Crossover/SUV and such a comfort car. And a small left foot space is a minus also.

    Hybrid : slow
E power : less fuel consumption
    ICE : more fuel consumption
E power : dont need charging station
    EV : need charging station

I have this one bugging question about 1-pedal drive thing; how do we execute an emergency break? Ok, I am sure the "intelligent mobility" drive system will cater for emergency braking when it is about to hit something. What about non-life threatening situation like in a traffic junction with the following condition (1) the traffic light has just switched to Amber, (2) you have 50% chance of braking in time (based on your past experience with brake-pedal cars), (3) there is this threatening Traffic camera in this junction and your normal judgement is I prefer not to beat the traffic light.
Does Nissan's intelligent mobility system caters to traffic light situation and assist with emergency brake when you lift you foot off?

Nissan states that it's 4.6L/100KM. I did one drive from Bukit Panjang to Ubi (including climbing up a 7-story carpark) and managed 4L/100KM. I used adaptive cruise control at 75km/h for the BKE/PIE stretch. Hope this helps!

    • @sgcarmartreviews

Hey R.L, I tried both the Serena e-Power (we did a video review) and the Kicks e-Power, and the engine sound for the Serena e-Power grated on me as well. However, there's something about the way Nissan built the Kicks that muted the petrol engine in the Kicks a lot more than the Serena, you should really test drive the Kicks yourself.

Yup. But the Toyota hybrids aren’t too far off either if the engine fails. The EV mileage is only about 1-3km. But if the battery fails, the car can still run via the engine which is a plus point. The Kicks is just like an EV vehicle with the charging station onboard.
