    The Truth behind Nissan Kicks e Power Ownership from the Kick Club Philippines
    Nissan Kicks is not the usual Hybrid System. I believe that Nissan Kicks has a unique way of adapting to the conditions of the Philippines. The e Power technology also co-developed with the developer of R35 GTR Engine, it is state of the art for sure.

However, since efficiency is a financial aspect, might as well include an info on how long the battery would last (at least on the average and normal use) and how much to replace it (data should be available from Nissan) so that a more objective calculation could be made.

      @@GiuseppeHormigosUnless you use the EV only function it will not cycle the battery many times a day. The ICE will contribute more power to the motor instead of the battery at highway speeds. It will only turn off the engine and purely run on the battery if the battery is charged enough at low load scenarios like heavy traffic or complete standstill.

I called their Nissan customer hotline but I have not received any reply coz they a 3rd party contractual employee so they need to relay the message to Nissan officials, it’s been months no reply showing no concern. As a whole my ave is 13 wich i hope gets better, so far 400km pa lang. My 2014 vw jetta tdi can do 12-16 in the city, so it isnt mind blowing. Speed wala ako masabi mabilis. Later on i stop using e pedal stop because if your not gentle it gets dizzy because if u let gas go to soon, it brakes too hard and gives me headache. So if anybody has a brtter way to use it. Got a few questions of which i have not got the answer after doing research. Since the car is driven solely by the electric motor and the battery and with a small lithium battery on board (i dont know how small but i thought i read in some non-PH post that it is less than 5kwh, can anyone confirm?), i see 3 concerns
    1) The inverter/charger is stressed more vs the typical hybrid system (ICE + E-motor). What is the warranty of the inverter/charger? To add this also drives the AC and other electronics.
    2) The small battery is cycled many times a day (more than a smartphone) so the life of the lithium battery is much shorter than a smartphone
    3) The original Chevy Volt was using this type of hybrid and they did not continue, i am curious as to why and why Toyota still preferred the Prius type

    • @wetsocksrichdad1928
      @wetsocksrichdad1928 Год назад +4

      1) Five years warranty for the whole e-power system as per Nissan ph website. 10years for the battery as per Nissan Thailand
      2) Battery is charged at 80% capacity. According to Nissan battery degradation is at 1-2% per year. AC and other Electronics gets is power from the traditional car battery not from the E-power battery
      3) Kicks E-power has been in Singapore Japan etc for the past 2 years. Best if you join the FB Groups related to Nissan Kicks SG and Kicks Club PH . Due the simplicity of the Series hybrid of Kicks it can push down the price compared to Toyota's Prius using Parrallel Hybrid which has a more complicated drive train thus the higher pricetag

It will outweigh the fuel savings cost. The sales rep told me that costing will possibly be lower should more units be coming in. But the e-power technology has been in the market for long so kind of doubtful about it. Can you confirm this Sir? Really want to get the kicks but this is a deal-breaker for me.

    • @phil_ang
      @phil_ang Год назад +8

      I am not sure where you got the info about the 3 to 5 years battery life but this is not true. Typical battery life is around 8 to 10 years similar to hybrids from Toyota. Oo nga eh! Yung driver ng blue car is quite rude. Sana hinintay muna niya matapos yung interview. Eto namang interviewer, he should have asked his guest to move to give way to the blue car for their safety.

    raining on your parade but the nicest way comment I can muster, the government about has legislation for 0% tariff on EVs, only to be signed by the president. in other words, instant extinction for expensive hybrids in the country.
