Mike Smith is a really tight player, he empowers the songs
Yeah agreed. I missed this period of LB coz I was so pissed that Wes left. First time I've watched live footage of Mike Smith and he absolutely kills it.
I love the way Mike Smith is feeling the beat, head bopping like he is at a rap concert. These guys are the most hip hop influenced rockers of all time. Mad rhythm with there songs.
Probably the best performance of LB ever. The energy and vibe for 95 minutes is just insane! And the sound, lighting, pyros - just perfect considering it was 13 years back. What makes it even more special is that it was a free show to make up for a canceled show. Free for everyone, even if they didn't have tickets of the original show.
One of the luckiest people who saw went for this show!
Amogh G It’s the guitarist Mike Smith! He was LBs best guitarist in my opinion!
The band was playing well, but saying Mike is a better guitarist is crazy. There is a reason they didn't play alot of the three dollar bill songs. Mike couldn't replicate some of the more complex tracks. This set really plays it safe. Really not trying to take away from Mike, he is a good player. But, especially early on Wes has a very unique style, especially when he actually cared to try.
@@soysaucefool They eventually started playing counterfeit with Mike during the RMV tour, and he pulls it off really well (watch the Philadelphia gig from later that year). Don't know if they ever played Re-Arranged with Mike though.
This is the best live performance I’ve ever heard from them. Love Wes, but they sound so much tighter and heavier here with Mike Smith.
Lol nah they were way better the previous tours and the tours after... Their weakest live period
Thumbs if you are a true LB fan and you watched this entire concert !
arnobv Hell yes!
This was my first concert aged 16...looking back on it 17 years later it's still the most energetic gig I've ever been too.
Mike Smith headbangs are the best thing to ever happen to Limp Bizkit.
Mike Smith stepped into some BIG SHOES but I feel that he really held his own during his time with LB. "Results May Vary" is actually one of my favorite albums from this band.
when it came out i fucking HATED it, i really started to appreciate it years later. i think it was hard for me to get into RMV after how mindblowing CSATHDFW was. It's a fucking belter of an album.
@@sj4ck it took me almost 20 years to get into “Significant Other” and “Chocolate Starfish,” but now I can’t get enough of them. I’ve loved “3 Dollar Bill” since it came out, but probably enjoy those other two even more now!
Like him in Snot🤙🏿
@@noXwaxXgoXfast Man I did not know that he was part of Snot
Today I was saw a video and it was Mike play guitar pretty cool
Mike smith was a good guitar player. Nowhere close to wes in creativity but technically he delivered every note straight. good guy
This is how a metal concert should be. Like it or not you all should to admit Limp Bizkit change the course of heavy music.
this sounds great with guitar player Mike Smith.in my opinion probably the best live show of bizkit ever.thanks to Mike Smith.
Mike Smith is fucking great. This concert clearly demonstrates this.
holy shit this was one of their best performances ever gotta be
hell naww! rock I am 2001 was there best performance ever! check it out dude..
Nick Wilshire I definitely think that Finsbury Park was by far one of their best performances ever. It was so powerful and awesome! Mike Smith killed out out there!!!
Nick Wilshire Woodstock 99 murders all of these
Flying V Oh really? Wes’s guitar tone at Woodstock 99 was horrible because he cranks the mid tones on his guitar. Wes also bends power chords incorrectly by bending them too far. Overall, Wes’s guitar playing is not even close to sub par, but Mike Smith’s guitar playing is better technically and to the average listener. If the guitarist is bad, then the whole bands sound suffers greatly. Overall, Mike’s live concerts are much better than Wes’s concerts!
Not they’re best man
suuch a good concert!!!! Mike is fucking awesome
Fuck Wes
Vehicle RS and they also done it for free cause they had to pull out of headlining download that year.......Yeah lets see Taylor swift or maroon 5 do that shit
yah he's no good....smh
Vehicle RS Mike burns Wes’s clown masks off with his guitar skills!
I remember watching this live on MTV!! I loved them, and still enjoy their earlier CDs from time to time :D
best live concert from Limp Bizkit !!!
Probably the best band I've ever seen. Would have loved to have seen them back then though!
I was at Woodstock 99 and there performance was amazing. Wish I had of been able to get to this show tho mike smith killed it!!
Best perform From LP. Mike Smith is huge
huge gay
0:10:24 I'm the kid behind the kid with bandana, that was my first proper gig when I was like 8 haha
2021. Throwing back my mind to 2003. Just graduate from high school.
I was at this show, so good to see it again :)
+Nate Jones D: Awesome bro!!! :D That crowd was amazing right?
+Beck Fosterland LOL absolutely insane. The support bands were incredible and I remember the tickets were only £1 each :)
Holy Shit, almost free. They came to my country a few months ago Tickets were like £50 each xD
+Beck Fosterland LOL yeah. They had to pull of Download Festival earlier that year (as Wes had recently left and Mike was still learning) so they put out tickets free and we only had to pay postage. I've seen them since and tickets were that much lol
Limp bizkit worth it!
Can't believe I just found this live recording. Such amazing quality and Fred at top of his game, Limp was so fucking heavy. This and Significant Other... Two Classics next to Hybrid Theory and Following the Leader at that time.
best live show ever!!! sound is awesome!!!!!
This so needs to be in HD...
Love this concert as do I love Results May Vary, LimpBizkit is one of my all time fave bands keep rocking on Boys! Mike Smith kick ass guitar player.
I think Freds voice was the best on this tour, and although wes is missing, mike kills it.
What an amazing, gig. The ones that said Limp Bizkit were not tight live when Mike tagged along seriously need a reality check.
I play guitar and LB has been always one of my favourite bands, and one of the most inspiring too. I fucking love Wes Borland style, but honestly, Mike's sound is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Wes' right now. So, in my case, I take Wes's style and Mike's sound. You only have to see every video with Mike Smith, the guitars are HUGE. It's just an opinion =)
This crowd is awesome I love how they take the energy and you can hear them sing the next parts of the songs.
this is the best limp bizkit gig they have ever done.....and it was free...it brings me back to my youth!!!!!!!!!!!! great band!!!!
mike i respect you . you did something with this album no one can did . you the man
13:21 the bridge sounds awesome live, better than studio version
Best Live Band
thanks man, i wanted to watch 10min. One hour and 16 min i'm still here :D
Mikes tone and playing are way better than Borlands, but when it comes to writing songs,Wes kills it
Wes wasn't a "big thick tone" guy in this sense. I prefer Borlands tone, personally, as it does not have that compressed to all hell sound that this guy (and most modern crutch-riding guitarists) utilizes. .
Listen to tone that Wes has now ,kinda sucks,he had better sound in 90's, and early 00's
He's working in a very different territory most of the time. Far less "thrashy/trashy"
Ivan Ljubesic very very true IMO. This is limp bizkit at their best, regarding live performances. The whole band had enough experience on one hand and enough raw energy on the other hand to be tight and powerful as hell.
Now he can’t sadly...
This guitar player slays Borland live. But I agree with others, Borland wrote this shit and it's genius guitar work.
Now, my question is, when Wes Borland returned, why didn’t they keep mike in?
Mike and Wes on stage together would be fuckin legendary... well in my onion that is.
onions have layers
Your onion lmao
best concert ever
1.Eat You Alive 1:16 2.Hot Dog 6:15 3.My Generation 11:15 4.Break Stuff 18:49 5.My Way 26:20 6.Underneath the Gun 33:25 7.Nookie 39:20 8.Behind Blue Eyes 46:15 9.Take a Look Around 52:59 10.Full Nelson 1:03:52 11.Nevermind 1:09:21 12.Faith 1:12:22
Good
try hearing this show live for the first time and trippin mentally and just rolling with it .....crazy yes....duh thats the way
Best guitar mike smith...💪💪💪💓
It's wasn't easy to replace Wes but MIke did a perfect job. He absolutely owns this show.
Is this when they were having issues?
Why can't they just have both Wes and Mike. Like both phenomenal in this band.
so much fucking energy here! this must be one of my favorite limp bizkit shows ever...
Mike Destroys this concert, sound different than Wes Boreland and I appreciate it. Wes is a legend for sure, and I love his style, but this is kinda special though. Probably one of limp bizkit's best performances and I have been to a few. I like the sound, Fred kills it this concert too! Results may vary is one of their best albums and it does not skip a beat in terms of continuity.
I was actually in Stockholm on their Results May Vary tour, my first live experience with Limp Bizkit, changed my life, ever since then i have seen them in Copenhagen and in Amsterdam :)
Mike simply kicked wes ass live his sound was insane
long long time ago.. I can still remember.. Me & my bro went to this concert from Latvia.. That was crazy times..
Great concert watched this live on tv and taped it on vhs then converted it to dvd .
this was my first ever gig....fucking INCREDIBLE! the supporting acts were all so good too! Luckily for me n my friends we got bands for the golden circle as we went in!
Limp Bizkit Rocks!
One of the best performances!
2003, what a time. when the worst thing we had to worry about was a new limp. Bizkit album.
Wow never saw a concert without Wess and Mike, KILLS IT!
But Wess composes better.
Mike is really good. The only reason people dont like him is because hes not wes..i would of luv to see mike and wes jam together
Mike smith is a phenomenal musician.. Wes doesn't compare!
Mike Smith definitely is the man broda! i mean i respect and like wes but mike is other shit...for me the best times and album was with him .
It's Mike Smith in Limp Bizkit 2003-2004
The mix is really good on here ;) Even in 240p.
CyberDreams
Damn... I just realized the quality of this video after watching this comment.
Wow I love Wes and all but shit Mike is tight on that performance
love this show watch it once a month at least.....!
1:11:00 click here for awesome solo
+HORSUS Jimmy Page must be crying at this
LMAO
Please tell me it was a joke!
Limp Bizkit is kinda my guilty pleasure. I don't wanna like'em but I do.
This concert rocked!!
What happened to Fred's screams on Eat you alive? That's the best part of the fucking song.
Mike is awesome as Fred and limp

Did we really lose this amazing band? I hope they had this much energy these days.
+Methas Jaemkor they're getting older bruh
Teacher Zack Not gonna lie the energy is still there. Saw them recently in Manchester and they were great
This live is so fuckin PERFECT , FRED's voice is God-like. The sounds are all PERFECT , everything!
Mike Smith hits the chords that Wes can't.
What do you mean?
Mike's style is very melodic and clean. I agree with the above.
i got this show on DVD......
Mark Slade Is it in hd?
Probably SD
Mike killed it!!!!
I much prefer the front man Fred Durst had to step up to become after Wes left. He knew he had to step up his game and not just ride on the talents of others. This is one of my favourite Limp Bizkit concerts to look back on because Fred just goes savage.
He did much better performance there
Mike smith is the man 🔥
ThanXXX Man you are so right and speak from my heart!!!!!
Que bien toca Mike Smith!
Love that mix
kult konzert :D :d THX for the big upload THX :D HELL YEAH EDEL !
The best CD for me! And that concert sounds better then that CD... Awesome music!
In a certain way I agree. I listen some LP since many years now, and it's true that Brad Delson created some amazing guitar riffs like A.06, Forgotten or Pushing Me Away, Somewhere I Belong. But I think that he inspires his style from other nu metal guitarist like Stephen Carpenter from Deftones (
This version of break stuff...
5:07 great scream of the fan...
It was him
It was me
the guitar player performing is mike smith not wes borland
CRAZY ENERGY!!!! wish I've been there!
Hands down the best LB show that Ive seen.
LIMP Fuckin BIZKIT! ♥
best live EVER (with woodstock'99)
Mike is fuckin good!
Wish I was in London then I would have been there love this band
Is no one else going to comment on the size of those speakers behind Mike and Sam? I can’t imagine what that sounded like for them. Looks so dope too! You can hear on Results May Vary a notable difference in their style. I never knew they had a new guitarist when I bought the CD when I was 11. Now that I know the story, I appreciate the album even more. “There ain’t nothing in this world that can take you place.” He couldn’t replace Wes, but he most def did a good job!
Fred sounds amazing and Sam is hyped as fuck!
yo lo vi cuando vino a la argentina hace una semana fue lo mas :D
is that me or mike smith sounds good at live than wes borland ?
2019?
16 years ago nearly! I was there for the whole day and am on camera during Break Stuff. I think is w as the best LB gig ever (minus Freds guitar cameo) Biffy Clyro and others on the same bill too. On e of my best memories.
Sam Rivers holdin that shit down on "Take a Look Around"!
Buen recital. Mike es una bestia!!! ImI
the tickets for this were only £1 because they'd canceled a festival headline at download for some reason. we went for a laugh since it was basically free but I remember nothing of it as we all got ridiculously drunk
Michael Dixon lol
I remember going to this, my first concert and the broadcaster got abused like fuck on stage, Limp Bizkit were late on, and no one cared what she had to say or do.
Esta Chimba El Concierto!! Limp_Bizkit Forever...
Best Live Band In The World
Day Ci With Mike Smith!
God I love Mike Smith’s work with LB. what kinda guitar is he playing on Nookie? Surely that’s not a bass.
