I am currently reading Beloved in school, and Beloved is a lot of things. She is a reincarnation of the killed baby, she represents Sethe remembering the past, and she represents a collective unconsciousness of African American slavery. Beloved is such a deep character with so many meanings in what she does. She is sometimes very scary, loud and angry, and at other times a sad ghost trying to recover from the past
According to Toni Morrison: " So I had to make a living ghost called Beloved who then would react mournfully, desperately, lovingly, or furiously, as a baby would if you killed it and it had something to say about it.”
The Dog Survives! I didn't recall it either, at first; poor dog, indeed. It's in the book, though. It's been a while since I read it & saw the movie. "Here Boy" is the dog's name. - "Beloved", the character, is not really meant to be understood. She does represent the dead baby daughter, who was also addressed as “Crawling Already”, when alive.
In the film they didn't show her out the eye back in the dogs socket. Here from Last night Wednesday Valentine's. Thursday ended the film around 1:4eightAM
Did they die or what I thought they were returning home in one scene in the part when Oprah was standing on the porch but I saw they disapered like ghost like she was hallucinating or something.
I'm surprised the spirit didn't visit them in the yard and whip on them around as they ran off. Hopefully they lived long and productive lives. But I never read the book
What's really crazy and scary is that Beloved is not really the dead baby. She is just an evil spirit playing on the fact that the mother killed her infant. Beloved is not really the dead baby's spirit. I thought that too for the longest time. The more i watched, I realized beloved was just a demon trying to drive everyone crazy. That's what makes the movie that much scarier that she's not really the baby. Only pretending to be. She's fooling and vexing everyone, causing negative energy, feeding off of it cuz that's what demons do especially cuz she or it knew of Sethe's sadness and guilt about killing her child. Some of the things beloved says gives hints that she is not the baby. Watch it more. It's very weird and eery once you realize this.
Raymond Valasquez yes. She even disappears at the end when the women pray her away. She's not really the baby's ghost. She admits coming from hell (in the dark she says).
Movie quietly addresses the mental and physical effects of schizophrenia from Seth's and Denver point of view. The disease and the ghost of Beloved unknowingly mentally haunts them both in different ways.
Too many people just watched the movie and didn't read the book ... The Movie wasn't good and missed many points ... Beloved was not a spirit or a demon or a ghost ... She was a girl broken by slavery ... Completely and utterly
I read the book. I got the feeling that Beloved came back to haunt her mother to make Seth feel some remorse for killing her, even though Seth justified it by believing she was keeping Beloved out of slavery. But she could be kind at some times, yet very angry at others.

The poltergeist and the excerisist all rolled in to one the house is really hunted but I wonder what happened to the two boys I never did see them after this scene.
Sylvia TinaI appreciate beloved today. I thought it to close post partum depression. Scars , sounds indelible mark slavery leaves in our subconscious. Depressing film. Why would the spirit of a murdered infant, who never had a chance to live , be forced to haunt their home and not go to an afterlife of peace and love?
I've watched this movie but i didnt see this part about the dog but i did no beloved is a demon from hell you can tell from start to finish she comes from the lake and then disappears at the end when every1 comes to the house to help his they no its a demon
Not really a demon. Just the ghost of an emotional baby with unfinished business that died at a younger-than-young age with a handful of confusion tossed down her cut-out throat

I don't remember the dog incident! Poor doggie! This was such a good movie! I was shocked to see it did so poorly at the box office!

Did they die or what I thought they were returning home in one scene in the part when Oprah was standing on the porch but I saw they disapered like ghost like she was hallucinating or something.

Raymond Valasquez yes. She even disappears at the end when the women pray her away. She's not really the baby's ghost. She admits coming from hell (in the dark she says).
This is great and all but did you post this on every beloved youtube vdeo haha?
my uncle is the one holding the little girl and who's leaving with his brother
Stop lying
That is sethe holding little Denver not you're uncle.
@@ashleysmith8402 I'm guessing that her uncle was the child actor who played Sethe's son named Buglar (who hugged Denver on the steps)
Poor little Denver :'(
Is that Denver as a little girl that got in the bed with the grandmother?

No, the guilt of what she did is literally haunting them since it’s the ghost of her dead child.
Too many people just watched the movie and didn't read the book ... The Movie wasn't good and missed many points ... Beloved was not a spirit or a demon or a ghost ... She was a girl broken by slavery ... Completely and utterly
Well, if you just watch the movie, it makes it seem like she's sonr kind if spirit the way she just disappears at the end...

Bc beloved isn’t actually the spirit of the baby but a demon or evil manifestation of guilt and trauma
@@billme1419 Its wasn't the baby it was an evil spirit that knew her and feed off her guilt and misery
Does the novel make any mention of what happened to the two boys?
never read the novel, sorry

Where do I watch full movie
The library
Check old bins in Walmart, etc. it's out there
They took my milk
Ew that's just gross mentally physically and spiritually
Us that a reference to rape or literally? Alot of vagueness in this movie
@@professional3449 The movie graphically shows the white plantation boys sucking milk out of Sethe's breasts. So, it's both literal and internal.
