Most likely what happened in Spain was that Sae just got humbled at Real Madrid's youth academy. It's an extremely competitive environment and from irl history, insane talents such as Eden Hazard and currently Mbappe (Loki's inspiration) are/got ruined by the club. Spanish football also is really racist, but I don't think that would bother Sae. There's bound to be insane players that are way better than Sae and more built to be a striker than him. He probably saw that it was impossible for him to be number one since he had no real striker talent, which destroyed him cause he had to give up on his dream that defined his whole character and identity. People think Leonardo Luna (the striker guy from Real in the World 5 match) was the one that destroyed Sae's dream and I think that's a realistic theory.
