Funny how they make a video about italy and rarely pay attention to the Italian TT itself.
Yeah. It's so funny that they still haven't added a single Aermacchi jet, Amx Ghibli, or any other Italian made jet attacker.
@Normal User it's sad cuz sure italy isn't the most competitive nation, but it's the nation I've had the most fun with in this game. I dont see why gaijoobles sees it right to cuck italy at every corner.
Not to mention that getting 10 kills won’t even allow you to break even in low tier Italy.

Since Italy is doomed to be a minor nation, Gaijin ignores it.
These little history videos are probably one of the best things War Thunder puts out.

Interestingly enough these 3 manifacturers all faced completely different faiths:
- At the very end of the war, Arnaldo Vischi, head of Reggiane, was (apparently) assasinated by a group of partisans. As such, the company would drift apart from aeronautical engineering to things like farming vehicles or train-related stuff. Today, the was Reggiane is owned by Konecranes, and the company is now called MHPS Italia S.R.L.
- After the war, Mario Castoldi retired into private life, and the company was (to my knowledge) shut down. He later died on May 31st 1968, at the old age of 80 years old
- Finally, FIAT Aviazione would go on to live a prosperous life in the field of aeronautical engineering, giving life to the infamous G.91R and T, among others, while also producing aircrafts such as the F-86K and the F-104G under license, along with Alfa Romeo Avio. In 1969 it merged with Finmeccanica, creating AERITALIA, which made the F-104S, together with the american Lockheed. In 1976, it got back to the original name, while maintaining the collaboration. The name was once again changed to FIAT Avio in 1989, under which name contributed to the Tornado and Harrier projects. Later Alfa Romeo Avio also joined the company. FIAT sold the company in 2003 to Finmeccanica and The Carlyle Group, which would later sell it to the british Cinven Ltd. (85%) and Leonardo (15%) (Which is now the main company in the field of italian aviation). The company also split off in 2012, with a part being owned by General Electrics, which is now completely detached from Avio. The latter now works in the cosmonautics field along with ESA and NASA.
I'm Italian and I really enjoy playing with italian aircrafts, but I guess gaijin has to put more historical variants, to give extra content and to make everything a little more accurate

This situation may not have been very good for the Italian war effort, but at least it gives us many aircraft and their variants to play with in War Thunder!
Very fun playing g55's and re2005 when you're 2 fighters and all the others are ju288 and a single do335 against p51h, spits, bearcats and corsairs
Bombers are much better to take a fighter with them then a few years ago when most bombers were basically a free kill and mere fighter pilot entertainment… but just as back then the matchmaker needs to make sure that each side has an almost equal number of bombers. If the matchmaker takes too long for those ju288 pilots, hopefully we will see less of them.

Lol, for now we have a promise that later they will tell us about the changes they will do even later. The roadmap can just be " next week repair cost time 2, the week after all vehicule cost 10k ge and f you". And even if they promise "good" changes they can just never implement it. If you thing you win because you got a vague message from a compagny you won't obtain anything.
They pretend to "listen to us" since 10 years.
Italian TT gets way too low of attention from Gaijin, they are only increasing BRs and repair costs and rarely adding something new unless it's already presented in other nations TT.
Actually quite fascinating. Love these planes and in my opinion some of the most gorgeous designs.

Aside from the fact that italy seems to be completely forgotten by gaijin, i love playing with these 3 planes, if only they had a good enough enjine to sustain long fights against their counterparts

I've always thought that the Spitfire was the most beautiful fighter of WWII, but these three series 5 Italian aircraft give the Spitfire a run for its money.

The PR folks that make these videos and run the social media, aren’t the problem. However; using the comments section to vent frustration should most defiantly be done since they are trying to remove the game from steam to cover the bad reviews. Gaijin is the worst gaming company I’ve ever interacted with, they owe their livelihoods to the fact that a competent company hasn’t made a competitor yet.

I tried to try the Italian aviation line but didint have the 550k sl for tier 2 and when I did i lacked the 80k sl repair costs when I ran out of free repairs

I want to make a suggestion to Gaijin. If you could pass it up to higher ups I would appreciate it.....I suggest that Gaijin gets a "New" player for War Thunder with NO premeium time or vehicles and post how the new player progresses through the game. I think this will highlight just how difficult and frustrating the game has become, A game that is not fun to play will die.

Reggiane are inferior by a lot compared to Fiats and Macchis in game. Mainly because of speed and INSANE overheating, even in winter maps. Kinda sad
Maybe but can out-turn a g55, has better topo speed, and actually doesn't overheat much compared to a g55 or c205

Italians were able to produce and test excellent V engines, thinking about the wonderful V16 Fiat AS.8, reaching a 2000+ HP power well before other countries produced more known engines like Merlins, or Griffons, Jumos, etc.
A much more plausible explanation of the "fiasco" (which one are you talking about, anyway ? Italian planes where in most cases far better than foreign planes...): politics and industrial tycoons greed ruined it all.
