Just picked mine up today didnt know much about it but walked out the door at $298 and couldnt leave without it it feels fantastic in the hand, havent fired it yet but hopefully ill get to soon
Any idea why we don't get a functioning trigger safety? I ordered one yesterday and an extra magazine. I bought a TH40c the day before, plus extra 15 round mags with spacers! Appreciate the review!
Hello SIR, could you tell me the difference with this firearm and the full size TAURUS G3 9MM firearm that I have , it also came with two mags, one 15 round and one 17 round magazine . Just love it a great firearm, so why would I need this one thankyou sir.
the ts9 has a longer grip, and is single action only. the g3 is carry size (the g3c is compact), and the TS9 is duty size. it's a full-size duty pistol like a S&W M&P or a Glock 17. the g3 is still sized to where it can be concealed, concealabiility was not a factor for this, it is designed with the idea of being in a duty belt.
Absolutely two totally different pistols Polymer frames are the only things they truly have in common.. The TS9 is a service weapon … NATO approved.. the real deal ..way over built …
For those wondering, the design has nothing to do with any other Taurus, including the TH9. It's a Wilhelm Bubits design, very similar to the excellent BB Techs BB6. Some of us have been waiting years for the TS9 to come to the US. By the way, it takes Novak sights in case you want to change them. There is also a compact version as well but they have no plans to import that.
I suggest that anyone who shoots a new gun right out of the box without cleaning, lubrication, etc. to at least check the barrel bore for any corrosion or foreign debris.
We're being told that Taurus Brazil is dumping its TS9 do to a faulty order contract and there will be NO USA support / upgrades for the US Taurus market.
I tried to find a TS9 in Central Florida with no luck. Even went to Taurus website with no fondings. Could you leD me to a dealer on line in the State of Florida of anywhere else ? Thanks in advance ¡
Long pull like a stock Glock trigger (or most striker fired polymer framed pistols) but I do not feel a definable "wall" before the break like you feel in a Glock. I do not stage the trigger since I also shoot a Walther PPQ which I can't stage either. So the TS9 is more a "pull through" trigger like in a DA revolver though much lighter than in a revolver. Magazine release button is STIFF if that is an issue for you. The reduced tilt of the barrel due to the Browning-Bubits design seems to make the cartridges load super easily from the magazine and reduce felt recoil. I had an issue with the trigger pin walking out in a green version I have. Taurus customer service was great and they resolved the issue with a one month turnaround time. Super nice pistol !
They've gotten to where that doesn't happen since 2010 when Taurus got the living crap sued out of them and had to do a court ordered buy back and then they restructured completely just to survive, and that's why their guns have improved so much!!! Yeah they found an issue with the 1st Gen gx4 and they were very proactive about taking care of it!!! Unlike how they would have handled it in the past!!!
This model is fine. It has been around in use for military and police for a long time. It just hasn't been sold in the United States before now!!! It's already a proven gun many times over!!!
Dude I had a Taurus that never had one issue. Granted I changed the trigger, rsa, sights, and the striker sleeve. Not one issue. I think some of you whine too much on the internet. Every manufacturer has had issues even Glock!

The G3 is a compact 9mm and is about an inch smaller in barrel length. Other than that…not much difference

Yes finally came to the US
Uses the 17rd TH9 magazines
Basically the size and weight of the APX-1
@@MrBuckeye63 Yes, it does use the same magazines.
Taurus TH series such as Taurus Th9,TH10 are hammer fired. The TS9 is striker fired. It was also made for the Brazilian Police.
And the Philippines national police and penal bureau have adopted this ts9
I suggest that anyone who shoots a new gun right out of the box without cleaning, lubrication, etc. to at least check the barrel bore for any corrosion or foreign debris.

5/9/2024
I got mine from Cheaper Than Dirt for about $275
What about the trigger guard safety?
does not include one
How does the trigger compared to like a Glock 26 or Glock 17??
The trigger is def comparable to Glock

Is it drop safe and won't fire when shaken? Not kidding , there's been issues with their pistols from 1997-2024.
I didn’t test that
They've gotten to where that doesn't happen since 2010 when Taurus got the living crap sued out of them and had to do a court ordered buy back and then they restructured completely just to survive, and that's why their guns have improved so much!!! TS9 is my ipsc gun.
Great video pleased to get mine for 236.00 at gun zone.
Looks like they stole the concept from the discontinued version of the s&w sd9ve . Since they now have the sd9 2.0 out.
👍
