Trigger on mine is a little heavy. About 7lbs SA and 8lbs DA.
Hard to find holsters for it. Most of the popular kydec company’s don’t make one at all. And those that do don’t offer a holster for a gun with a light.
Came from the factory with the sights way off. 2 minutes with an allen wrench and a caliper to center the front post and it was good after that.
But over 300 rounds through it with thousands of dry fires with snap caps through and zero malfunctions. Including hand loads loaded towards the bottom charge based on sami spec for suggested starting load.
If someone knows a company that actually makes a kydec holster that will work with this pistol with a light I’d be happy to hear it.
Speaking of Taurus...I just got their 44 magnum revolver with 8 3/8" barrel. I been eyeballing that model for years and finally got one. 600 rounds sure says something about a handgun. Thanks for doing this update.
Yeah th9 i have one too...almost 2000 rounds smooth and no jams even reloads😉

I own the TH9, TH9c, PT92, G3, G3c and the 709 slim. As far as I'm concerned Taurus is "Affordable Quality". You can't beat them for what you're getting at a very reasonable price.
What is you favorite to shoot at the range?
I really love shooting the PT92.
@@JWMR1951I have to agree, I had the opportunity to shoot a PT92 at a Taurus range day event and it was a pleasure to shoot. I would love to add one to my Taurus collection eventually but it seems Taurus makes more pistols that I want than my bank account can cover 😂.
Do you consider the TH9 better then the G3C?

I've had the older series in .45 (pt845) for a dozen yrs or so. Has been 100% solid. Is my nightstand pistol. I want one of these, also
Looks nice seems to shoot great, I have 2 G3’s a G2c G2s and 709 Slim all been fantastic guns from Taurus.
I have the Taurus g3 matte black. I have the Taurus th9 full size on layaway. Nice review.
I own one and have for about 3 years and it’s one of the best 9mm platforms I’ve shot I have at least 2000 rounds conservatively not one problem ever with it and it’s the most comfortable gun I own/have shot

Can't beat it for the price. The trigger is not bad at all. I have a Ruger SR22 which is also DASA and the trigger on the TH9 is a LOT better than the Ruger. The double action pull is pretty good as well and does not feel gritty to me at all. Would like to see Lakeline make some more 3rd party options for it like a threaded barrel etc.
I enjoy Taurus products these days. They are a great value. This looks like one I may have to get.

I just picked up the TH9 to add to my Taurus collection which puts me at 9 or 10 if you count my Heritage Bar Keep since Taurus now owns Heritage. I currently own a G3, G2C, GX4, PT140 Millennium Pro, PT740 Slim, PT738 TCP, TX22 and a PT22. I love them all as they have all been accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them.

The gun case with the soft foam liner has a cutout for what looks like a 5-in barrel th9. Would like to see that made.

I had the PT809 years ago which is the original version of this. Once i got rid of it, i kind of missed it.
Been thinking about grabbing one of these again. Definitely a get 'r done gun.

I enjoy mine. The only down side i find is i dont practice with it much. Right out of the box it was a dead on shooter. Rapid fire up close was predictable and accurate and slow fire for accuracy is easy as it gets. Tamest recoil as any full sized plus if your not hammer fired fan go cocked and locked and just forget about it.

I wanted one of those and never found one. The g2c is great! My wife took 1, my son bought one and I got one I could keep.

Took it to the range an didn't realize wen shipped the sights shifted...
After alil adjust i keep buying duty equipment for it...pretty soon my zigana is gonna find out and im gonna have girlfriend issues....
Taurus has now released the TH45.

I'll say it again- I loved the PT840 I had, and the G2/G3 series. You don't get much more paying double the price for the bigger names...

Do all TH series come in the case? Any thoughts on the new TH45? I'm getting interested in the SA/DA hammer fired platform. Taurus's are overall good looking guns, in addition to the quality.
From what Ive seen they all come in the case. Not sure on the 45, other than its a little higher priced than Id like to see from a Taurus. You can get a police trade in G21 for about 90 bucks less than the Taurus. If they come down in price Ill have to give one a try. Thanks for watching!
In your experience with your TAURUS TH9 upon using the Decocker is there a moment that the gun fires accidentally? Is it OK to carrying it with chamber load?
I always carry in the chamber but I normally carry a Glock. With that said with this model if your uncomfortable with that just use the safety and youll be good to go till you become a little more comfortable with it. Thanks for watching!
do you know of any source for aftermarket sights for these? ive tried scouring the internet , but no luck. Mine doesnt hit to point of aim and Id really love for the sights to be on before i can trust carrying it
Their cut for Novak style sights so any with that footprint should be good to go. Thanks for watching!
@@TheHide i contacted Taurus directly and they are a proprietary cut specifically for the th9. normal novak style sights will not fit this gun. while they do look kind of like novak sights, they are only "novak style" and not the same unfortunately. have you changed the sights on yours at all?
@blurryface1975 Yeah you have to file fit them. Its the only downside to the TH9 imo..
No, they are actual Novak sights. Whoever told you they weren't was incorrect. Or at least mine were actual Novak sights.
@@chubbyjohnson5480 it was someone at taurus that told me that the sights were a proprietary cut. i kind of believe them, cause you think if they werent then they would have novak sights on their website for sale for this gun. i ended up with a set of fiber optic sights from lakeline, but it didnt fix my point of aim issue. so either the gun is out of spec or im just looking at the sights funny. im kinda leaning towards it being the gun. i also have a taurus 627 tracker and on that gun i had to adjust the sights as far as they could go to one side to get it to hit where i was aiming. looks kinda funny with it set off to one side like that but it works i guess.
What is the trigger like? Does it have a decocker? Thanks.
Double action is heavy as expected, but SA is very nice for a factory gun and yes it does have the decocker. Thanks for watching!
The safety for my taurus th9 is not working
Send it back to Taurus, it has a limited lifetime warranty! ( I'm a girl, I have this model, use it more than my M&P shield 9.

I got a Taurus th9 just like that I tried to to use a magpro 32 magazine in it and it jamed up I don't kno why I clean the magazine and it still jam so I just stick with the factory magazine

Taurus is good till you get a bad one. Their customer service sucks. It took me over a year to get a replacement from my first TH9. It won’t feed hollow points.

I roll with Taurus G series …. Gun thots focus on name like Glock, Sig, etc when they should be focusing on stocking up on food, ammo, etc
600 rounds is nothing, get back after 3000 rounds. I have purchased 51 taurus handguns in 40 years, of 🔥 firearm buys.

I've got a TH9, G3 G3C G3X & a Stainless 1911 in 45ACP! I GOTTA say. Their NOTHING like they were 10 Or 13 yrs Ago.. These Are GREAT Meat & Potatoes EVERY Day Carry Or Range pieces... Sure I Love the Safe Queens. BUT You CANT Beat these Models for Good RELIABLE Fun! At first. I had my fingers Crossed With the first one.. BUT Soon realized these ARE a GOOD Quality NO Regrets pieces. Shoot Safely & God Bless..😊
