Bought one a from Gunbroker for $226.00 have put through it one thousand rounds and have not had a single jam or hickup.....have recommended it to several friends.....and they also have not had any issues excellent gun for the price well made and just works.....many people pushing more expensive guns and that is fine.....but not everyone can afford a $ 600 pistol.
Aint that right I totally agree NATO approved also trigger safety IS functional BUT OPTIONAL he got one that he did not order WITH trigger Safety option LOL😀 look it up
I’m not really sure why you say this is a hit and miss and then later on repeat that in the video. You have not even shot it yet. Just because it’s different like you said, doesn’t mean anything and who cares about the market ability unless you’re a salesman for Taurus. This is a great gun, a good design and overall it is one of the better Taurus pistols out there. I own a lot of pistols from Taurus and this one is by far the most solid shoots, accurate, and a great bargain. I think your title and description are gonna turn a lot of people off that could buy a great handgun.
That awesome gun is use by the Brazilian and Phillipines law inforcement. It shoots well, with smooth recoil. The grip and mag release works well. I bought one ,love it. I definitely 👍 recommend. Buy one if you can find one.
It’s one of my favorite guns to shoot. I have around 5000 rounds through it with not one failure. Shoots extremely flat. Sounds crazy but it shoots a lot like my Stuccato XC.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to how you can declare a gun a miss without a range trip, unless it falls apart straight out of the box. Also, a quick look at the manual will show that not all TS9s are fitted with the manual safety. It is said that these guns are contract overruns, and the contract did not specify the safety. Apparently, the contract also did not specify they check that the correct backstraps were included. I got two of one type, and not the size I'm likely to use.🤥 Taurus USA blew me off when I asked for a correct one.😡 Still waiting on a range trip with mine.
I was able to track down the original brazilian manual, and from what I can see (not speaking Brazilian Portuguese), it lists the Bubits style safety as "optional", so it's likely the batch they imported did not have a functional safety installed.
I find the gun, a great shooter and an overall solid pistol. Not to mention the low price, I think all around you cannot beat it, and mine has never had a malfunction.
I've been carrying a TS9 for about 6 years. Mine is chambered in 357 Sig. Carry it cocked and locked daily. Have put about 30k rds thru it, only had to replace the magwell & MOS plate
I did not know that they made the Taurus TS9 in 357 SIG!!! They need to bring that one to the United States pronto!!! It'd sell like hot cakes!!! I have the TS9 in 9mm just got it recently for 279.99 USD. It is a lot of quality for better than the money paid!!!
@@InvidiousIgnoramusthat myth has been debunked. It's a test run. If it was a contract overrun then it'd have the safety in it, but Taurus said they plan to keep it here if it does well, which it will when people actually try it!!!
From what I've been reading, yes. Not only that. In Brazil there's a TS9c, never imported into the US. It takes the same mag as the TH9c. So you could buy a TH9c 13rd magazine and use measurements off of it to chop the TS9 grip frame shorter for concealment, and then get spacers that allow TH9 mags to fit the TH9c (Taurus retail item) and still use the longer mags as reloads.
You should have done at least a little research before posting this video. Hard to watch when you just assume and are incorrect. Swing and miss of a video.
It’s literally a service/duty pistol that passed NATO standards. I own both the ts9 and a bb6. The ts9 is softer shooting and more accurate, even feeds more reliably. As for the trigger frame safety, it’s not meant to work on this model. It was a requirement for the Brazilian military/police. They kept the frame the same for American market but never finished the cuts or hinge install cause the majority of Americans don’t like safety’s. This is a limited trial run to see how the gun sells. If it does well there will be models with safetys and even a 13+1 compact model, and it will be available in multiple calibers. These dudes just hate when they see a budget gun that out performs their pimped out Glock cause they start to feel instant buyer’s remorse. Fun fact about Glock, it costs $75 to manufacture one, and was originally meant to be put in the budget market comparable to hi-point but Gaston Glocks investors threatened to pull out if he did this. Cheap doesn’t mean bad.
Yes, it's a completely different design from the TH9, it is most similar to the BB Techs BB6. You can see many of Wilhelm Bubits patents in this pistol. You will also notice some of the same design elements in the Kimber Mako. The TS9 has already passed very rigorous tests. New to the US? Yes. New? No. It was not designed for the US market. It is only here because of a production over-run. I have been waiting for one since they were first released on the international market. At the prices they are selling for, it is an absolute bargain. It is a serious duty pistol. At the moment, I don't think it can be beat when considering the performance, quality, and price. Now that Galloway is making some parts, it gets even more exciting.
It's a great gun but I wouldn't touch it until the Taurus family gets their act together The rumor is Brazil Taurus doesn't want to profit share with Taurus USA And the TS9 is a failed contract dump
Just had a really really bad incounter with this gun loaded a round in the chamber and barley touch it and it went off on accident while I was in the car “I was getting out of the car due to a situation” but it went off with very little interaction
If you learnn about the gun before you do a video it would be better. The safety does work and the striker hole in the back of the slide is to remove parts of the upper slide (spring, firing pin etc.) Your safety must be stuck but mine works fine
Man we cant keep missin' your lives.... We're Gettin';severe withdrawals. Me and my wife both have discovered. Life is barely worth living without a steady stream of your quips and snipes at people.... You've made our lives much more enjoyable...... P.s . If my wife asks why i bought 3-4 more holsters this morning. Just move along.... You aint heard nothin'!!!!! ( Besides it was cheaper than buying 4 new guns)
They have a really good track record with their newer models and have discontinued every iffy model. They have done a lot to remake themselves as a company. Just because they used to be questionable in the past doesn't mean they are bad now. Look at S&W, they used to be great, but their Quality has diminished. Revolvers seizing up and fit and finish is disgraceful compared to older generations. In other words, don't judge by bias, judge things on there own merit.

That trigger safety is functional. I've seen it work.
It was imported in the US without the safety
Honestly this guy knows absolutely nuthin about this pistol
It’s pitiful listening to this
It's a polymer blank insert. The safety was deleted for the US market
Can you confirm if the TH9 magazines work in the TS9?

Hudson arms was successful as a designer, they fell victim to the oswald effect. An issue with "too good" of a marketing pitch at the wrong time.
Be tuned in to see how you like it after shooting it. Have a great one man.
Have you ever got a polymer gun so hot it warps?
The cat sounds after you let the slide close. That guy will live on forever.

Thanks for the insight. It's a really good video.
Next time you do a video how about keeping the gun in the camera picture do we can see what you are talking about?
Nah
Your camera angles are off. Your gun goes out of the frame too often.
Locking on the chamber is not a browning design, and he did not use it. That goes to a fellow named white from the same era.

@sleigh4019 there aren't many new striker fired 17 round 9mm for $250.bucks out there.
Oh man....I misread the title and got my hopes up. I thought it said TX9, and I've been hoping they'd make a 9mm version of the TX22 SCR. T_T
Being a 22, to make a 9mm out of it they would have to change nearly every aspect of the gun, ergo it would simply be a totally different gun.
@sinisterthoughts2896 Ye. There'd be heeps of difference, just like when every other company make a 22 version of their flagship 9mm.
Hey CntBckt don't feel bad about getting this one!!! It's better than the G3

I like the look, but wow, I’ve never seen a frame flex like that one does. Yikes!
