I’ve carried my GX4 for two years now. I’ve shot every type of ammo imaginable. I’ve fired 147 gr +P hardcast to Liberty Civil Defense (which is my carry ammo). Probably close to 1,000 rounds now and not a single malfunction. I also have a G3 that runs great. I WILL be buying a TH10 when I can find one (for back country carry here in Utah). And will likely be getting a TS9 for my SHTF combat pistol. If the TS9 runs as well as most reviews that I’ve seen, I see no practical reason to buy a more expensive platform like P320 or G19. I’ve had people scoff at my choice of Taurus, but I just smirk…”ok, feel free to pay more for the same quality…”
Funny thing about Taurus making a gun this good for this price, is that by the time someone spends what they do on a sig or H&k, the person with this gun will be very well trained!!! Comparably speaking!!! This gun plus 1k rounds will cost you about the same as the more expensive guns, and this is already a proven gun, before it ever came to the United States.
This is my house gun and, for all the reasons listed in this vid, I just love it. I remember hearing about these a few years ago and thinking: 'Can't wait to get my hands on this." then discovering there were no plans to release in the States. 😒 Never forgot about it tho and, when the 'production overrun surplus' suddenly became available, went in search of. Was very pleasantly surprised at the price point and the rest is history.
Great videos, love my matt black, and odg. I've heard people complain about the manual safety, there is no safety on the us models. Yes the safety is there, but is fixed, not functional, they need to study the facts
What the previous comment stated these were actually an overrun or didn’t go through on a large sale to military and law-enforcement primarily in the Philippines. So when they are gone, I’m pretty sure they will be gone. Not a new gun that Taurus has designed for the USA market. That’s why I believe these are so unique for Taurus and well-made because they were specifically made for law-enforcement and foreign countries. so now they will not be coming down the road with an optics cut. They are the Wilhelm Bubits design. That’s why you have the enclosed slide And it locks up differently than the browning system. You didn’t mention if you got two magazines. Did you get two with yours? I know I did. These are great Guns thank you.
i spoke to taurus about this gun and they arent military surplus guns. the manual safety isnt even functional on the US guns but it is in the military guns. These are made for the US market and my assumption is if its successful, they will expand upon the line. the only thing preventing it from being a run away success is the snobbiness in the gun community that cheaper=worse and the old reputation of taurus that does not to present taurus justice. it does come with 2 mags.
It's crazy the Taurus hate out there when it isn't even the same company anymore that built the guns that earned the bad reputation. They've completely restructured from the top down!!!@@maximusjoseppi5904
@@maximusjoseppi5904funny thing is that the Taurus haters will make excuses for the big name brands like Glock, Smith and Wesson, and Ruger when one of their guns gets sent out as a lemon!!!
I have this gun and I have one that competes with it for less than 400, but still 100 more!!! I paid 279 for my TS9 and 389 for my TriStar T100!!! They are both awesome!!! Both are amazingly soft shooters, and both have very low bore axis!!!
"No one's ever heard of it..." Some of us waited years for this to be imported. Yes, it is excellent, a Bubits design. I also have the BB Techs BB6 and the Kimber R7 Mako. I hope we see the compact version imported, but I highly doubt it will be.
people are extremely snobby in the gun community. they like to think because they over payed for a gun or accessory its superior and as an extension, they are superior as well haha. its a great gun
Well, that is good to know and very interesting. All of the sites that are selling these say a limited time only but maybe they just showcase them as a military overrun instead of just telling us they’re trying to get them Out into the US market. I don’t know why that matters because it’s a great gun and Taurus should just say they’re importing them to the US now without all that other misinformation. I think they’re one of the best Guns Taurus is put out there for the semi autos.
@@maximusjoseppi5904 Here we have to prop up communist politicians who love to do kindness to themselves with other people's money. Beware of the new world order.
Check out the new Kimber M7 Carbon Compact, uses the same Bubits design and for the slim line compact shoots great. Also, what's your opinion on Archon Type B gen 2?
Passed nato 20,000 test, mud water, snow you name it. bought my matt black for 203.00 and odg for 228.00 when they were fires introduced in the USA, but I don't think they will last, Brizil just had a over run of them. Brizillian police adopted this gun.
Have two paid $275 each, Taurus retail is $500 each. When you take down the Taurus TS9 not the parts in the frame, far better than any Taurus G series pistols. The Taurus TS9 is only in this country because of overrun. Was suppose to be International sales only and could be remove from Taurus website at anytime.

The shooting experience is literally night and day. Yes I still carry 365xl but I don’t enjoy shooting it. If you want to have fun and be accurate $250 just isn’t going to do it. However, you can afford a lot of inexpensive guns. With my best regards.
ive had 2 infinitys, currently still have 1. ive bought and sold nigthawks, ed brown, and wilsons cause they are absurdly overrated. anyone would have fun shooting this gun. if there was a dangerous situation, id rather have this than an infinity, nighthawk, wilson, atlas, etc. those are competition guns and as such have zero tolerance for imperfect conditions. this gun is a combat gun, different purposes. you cant just throw your infinity in a tool box haha.

Just waiting on the TORO version. Love Wilhelm Bubits designs
That's what it's called 🤣🤣 I drew a blank and I wasn't ruining the 1 take video for that one thing
Its a solid gun..and it runs fine I'm more interested in the bobitz in the kimber macoR7 maybe I'd notice that in small gun I don't in this gun really
Take off the rear sight, put on a DPP mounting plate for whatever ops you trying to add
I really don’t think you will see a TORO version… its a Military pistol
my thoughts exactly

The Philippines state police gun as well. They did a 20k round test with this absolute unit of a gun
thats interesting, very cool
And replaced or at least supplemented them with Arex deltas
Tested for 20k rounds rapid fire with zero malfunction not only once but six times by Philippine National Police
Is that like girl scouts endorsed ?
It's one of a few options they have. PNP can also carry the Glock 17, IWI Masada and IWI Jehrico 941.
I have the Graphene edition here in Brazil for about one year. It was love at first sight.
