When you mentioned "blush color", I imagined like a soft pinky color, not......that.
I only have a 25 mm crochet hook, and I used it to make giant Christmas stockings using sparkly blanket yarn.

They definitely don’t look ‘blush’ - it looks like a very watered-down apricot. But they look so cool and I am very excited to see what you make with them!

Also malabrigo caracol is a bit pricey and can be difficult to find, but it's superwash merino so it can handle a gentle machine wash in cold. It has a unique texture that almost makes it look scaly from a distance and the colorways are stunning. Plus it's plied with threads so it's less likely to split like that other yarn
i used some wool ease wow during the holidays to knit up holiday/santa hat tree toppers, took a little getting used to and i believe the knitting needles i had to use were 25mm, they've had wool ease wow around at least since then, i think a little bit before then even, since it made a cool jumbo hat tree topper i bet it could work for other funky decor pieces too

The first vibes I got when you pulled the 30mm hook out the box was it reminds me of a chess piece, I think it's the colour 🤔

The hooks look like stone of some sort. :) I use jumbo yarn to make little cat pads/mattresses for them to lounge around on.

You could use bulky yarn, or better yet, hold several strands of any weight yarn together to make some baskets (laundry/storage)

🖤🖤🖤 I guess they figured these hooks are so big no need for an ergonomic handle. But a similar shape would have been nice. I’m disappointed in the color as well. Not what I would associate with blush. Other than that they seem to function like intended.
That’s very true! I’ve continued to test them this week and I’m liking them more and more. Tried it with some acrylic yarn and that’s been my favorite so far🎃
You really need to make an amigrumi coffin pattern thats large enough to be a pillow/cushion I’ve been searching everywhere for one and can’t find one and it seems like it would be right up your alley and you could use that giant blanket yarn and use the hooks you unboxed in the video too

I almost hesitate to ask, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious.... I've seen so many of your Furls unboxings and wonder...... how many furls hooks are in your collection? Do you have a spreadsheet to keep track of all the sizes and collections you have????? The jumbo hook is....... MAMMOTH! Oh my goshshshshsh! Yes, the action with big yarn and big hook would pain my hand/wrist/arm!
I’m not sure of the actual number but I do keep track of which line has which sizes🎃 I’ve found that resting my elbow on a pillow while working with the jumbo hooks has helped with fatigue a bit!
I was too late to grab them but seeing them I hope they do more but come out with a different color because I am so not into the flesh color. Purple pink galaxy or black and purple pls.

Im sorry but I ordered a few of the resin hooks and 1 arrived broken from the tip, 1 broke after crocheting for about 10 mins and my third one is so thin and bends and ready to break 😢 I was soooo disappointed, the only one I liked was the metal odyssey hook. I hope I can still return them.

Honestly I think I was just being impatient with it:) I've been working with it all day now and haven't had the same problem.
i love furls, you intruduced them to me back than and i couldnt be happier with my odyssey’s :) but as much as i love this company i have to say that their stock is absolutly awful and they should definately work on improving that. whats the point of releasing 4new odyssey colors a year when nobody is able to buy those? it took me about a year to be able to get a 9 and 10mm in navy and black and good luck to anyone who has their eyes on the lime or the turquoise-it feels like they basically dont get a restock at all within the last year. its not cool imo
Alright , I have same yarns like that and no hooks like these. I'll have to get the big hook for sure now. I was making excuses not to get the hook, it' goes with the yarn. I would rather have a different color hook. The blush color ain't blushing for me.
I've continued to work with the yarn all day and the big hooks do make a difference! Still think a 25mm is the perfect size for it:)

Actually those larger hooks were made to crochet rope rugs, and the super tiny hooks are used in beading crochet, not flat fabric making.
They really should have rethought that colour and gone with something like violet. 😅

honestly a bit disappointed that it doesn't have the normal shape. especially them being so large, being easy to use and comfortable on the hand is a huge factor. However, I dont use chunky yarn a lot so maybe this style is nice for people who do
