which is fair, most of his original drum parts are just copy and paste blast beats of sorts. take a look at songs like All Out Life, Custer, The Devil in I, Unsainted... And the rest of the song is just a groove ripped from Joey. I'm looking forward to seeing what Eloy can bring to the band, since Jay's playing was extremely repetitive.

@@SkyserAspili joey had a disease that meant his legs didn't work anymore, that's why he was kicked from the band. so even if he was never fired, slipknot wouldn't have a functioning drummer.

Clown and corey are the reason i have distanced myself from slipknots recent music. Stopped after joey got mistreated, seems its only progressed more.
Too bad nobody replaces him because if there was one member you could remove and not know he was gone, its Clown.

Clown has some very thoughtful things to say, and it was nice to see him opening up. Spending time in the past is the best way to self torture, as Helloween put it: “yesterday is history tomorrow is a mystery”. Live in the now 🤘🏻
'Clown'...rock and roll's most famous art director and member/manager. Slipknot could get rid of both percussionists and consolidate the sampler, DJ and keyboard parts into one job, and no one would even notice. Sometimes, I wonder if the mics on the percussionists' drums are even turned on when they play live.
I’ve seen Slipknot live 6 times, and I questioned if the percussion mics were even turned on every single time lol.

It's the Corey and shawn show now. After Iowa everything went downhill. I understand they went through a lot of dark places mentally, and emotionally but that's what gave them the fuel. Now it's just bs. I miss the old slipknot. I'll stick with mushroomhead

Whenever the new drummer gets kicked out the same conflict will happen again. People will tell other fans to move on immediately, while some will appreciate his legacy and then once we move onto the next drummer, the same cycle of disagreement will continue again. 🫠

Clown attempts to sound smart and speaks in riddles in an attempt to seem like a genius. Love old school slipknot, still enjoy them. I first saw them on a side stage at ozzfest and it was mind blowing. My point I suppose is that theres no need to exaggerate or put extra effort into being mysteriously smart. Its naturally great.

I love slipknot but clown is so pretentious, I can't stand listening to what he says. I believe it's all genuine and heartfelt but damn, for a dude that beats on kegs, he talks about some of these things as if they are pieces of art from another dimension that we plebs will never comprehend.

ugh clown is the cancer of slipknot unfortunately.. He gets to credit himself with so much of what slipknot is, but the truth is that Paul and joey were the true core of slipknot, and it will never be the same wihtout them... anything now is just a shell of what it once was.

Clown is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen but never expressed it. He’s the “owner” of the band who doesn’t really do anything. He doesn’t make any music, and if he does, he’s barely a part of it. How can you own a band you do nothing in?

Slipknot is just a business that Corey & Clown owns, now others are just hired guns pretending to be members, the two are trying hard to spin the narrative but the short & the real reason is greed. At some point they'll both retire but the band will continue making music & money for the two, they've even talked about this. Sadly this nothing new nor will be the last!!

Well I think it is natural for bands to change their sound over the years, since new ideas come to mind, new vision, new everything, and to sort of experiment with different sounds, is IMO totally cool.
Slipknot had definitely become more “human” over the years, even though I do think that Self-Titled is f-in FLAWLESS, the anger, expression, the lyrics, the meaning, everything about that record is flawless IMHO, still I really like their other records, where their sound became more “human”.
The one problem I have (as well as most of fans included) is why did all of those lineup changes occurred. Literally, Craig and Jay just disappeared from the band without any explanation. If we were given anything, even the worst truth, that would have been great, but all we have is just the fact that they left the band, that’s all.

@@sugarsore how about the way they treated joey jordinson ? that wasn't cool...he had a disease that was affecting him being able to play but it wasnt drugs like corey taylor said it was joey should have fired corey and clown and moved on with the band himself,i don't care at this point if corey and clown quit,the band will be much better without them

Slipknot ended when Joey left. I can understand the argument for Paul’s death being the end but I think they could have found someone just as talented and passionate. Now… half the band is made up of new faces which is so off putting. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.
