Well, it pretty wild to see that you dont have any snow. Here in NY, we dont have any either. In fact there are many states that dont have snow this year. But as you said, that could change quickly. Enjoy while you can. Peaceout
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting. Shame on those cows. Tore the fence down and went into the neighborhoods grass to eat. Oh my. They did make a mess of that fence. Seems like you got them back fairly easily. And then got the fence fixed and you had them back on your side of the fence. Yea!!!!!! Seems once they get out they can really destroy some fence. Oh well, you got them back in and no harm no foul. Nice job Cole and Brian. Good thing you spotted that big tree on the fence. The chain saw made short cutting of that and yea, tree is off the fence. You moved those calf shelters fairly easy and quickly. Not a problem. And cleaned up the manure and spread on the field. Yea, job is done. Good idea to drive a post by them so the wind does not move them. About it I guess. Nice weather to do jobs like this. Thanks for everything Sonne’s. You both take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Love your videos. Young Cole, guess since them thar barbie wired fences ruined your pants, guess now they are " Pant-Tease"!! Arr arr arr, chuckle, snort.😅😂😊 ME thinks that deserves a Sonne Farms freebie of Sonnething'.
Save those pants for summer, "air conditioning". It looks like you & Brian know what you need to do & how to do it! Happy New Year from a small farm in Alabama!
Glad you are having a mild winter where you can get alot of odd jobs done! We live in wi it's been a mild winter here to just hoping we don't get hammered late in the season lol
My dad recently told me a story about how our neighbors cattle got out and camped out one night by our fields. Our neighbor bought a box of donuts and they followed him home the next morning, he would just throw one out on the way home every so often to keep their interest. Thought I would share!
Thank super El Nino for the nice weather. Winter of '97-'98 was the last one I can remember. Lived in west central MN and had basically no snow and temps in the 40's in February.
Those scenes with Elly are so sweet. I love the working scenes with natural environment sounds. It reminds me how it was years ago when I was working non stop.
Sure cows are fun to raise, then you have to go chase them back where they belong. Get you some pants made out of kevlar, that should reflect holes and other things that might come at you. Awesome video. Enjoy the snow when it starts flying. 🚜🚜🚜
Those cattle were just testing the fence. . . . You know, the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. Happy New Year from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Yeah it's always a trip moving those old skid type sheds. Dad had a 2-piece farrowing house we would drag around and push back together as a kid. Several hog and cattle shelters with metal straps around the end of the skid to hook to. Glad we moved away from barbwire. We keep a lot of cattle in with 2 hot high tensile wires and solar chargers. No more torn clothes or people.
Hiya boys looking good😂😂 I swear they look like a bunch of guilty kids when they came back through the opening, thanks for the video, love and respect from the old woman in Oklahoma❣🖐
Well, I'd suggest the song of the day to be the "Break on thru to the other side" :○) Nice to see Sonne Farms getting some unexpected late season good weather to get some much needed chores caught up. Won't be long till claving season. I hope it's a highly successful one for them.
Cole you should check your concrete plant and see if they have the large concrete block made with left over concrete there like 2x2x4 weight like 2,000 pounds set them in the corner of your calf sheds and they won’t go anywhere they work good on wind brakes to
Awesome video Cole it's always a good night when you can watch sonne farms Cole and Brian my favourite farmers on RUclips Wishing you Cole and Brian and all you're family a Happy Health and prosperous New Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
On days when there is trouble and things don't go as planned, I'm reminded of something my dad said once when rocks took out the back and aid window of his vehicle. "I can't have nothing!"😂 Keep up the good work, guys. we love your channel.
seeing you drag those calf huts reminds me of dragging our fish shack across the ice to go fishing. the weather here in Maine has been crazy haven't had any snow here in southern Maine for 294 days.
Elli is SUCH a sweet, good dog....how Young ...old is she?? Love how she whines to u....love how efficient you and dad are at getting things done...took care of those Escapees right quick didn't ya!!!😅 Also with fixing that fencing! Great teamwork....love it....
Now I understand why you have your cows “ pellet trained”. Kind of like teaching a dog to recall using treats. On the bright side Cole when is the last time you hammered in a steel post that easy in end of December/January before? 😮
I don’t usually read comments so this may have been answered before. Can you get your dad to tell us the significance to him of the FDNY clothing he wears? Really enjoy watching you and your dad working together.
We enjoy watching your channel. We see you are getting ready for calving, we have a name for your first calf… Willow🐄 Happy New Year! Have a great 2024!
Hi Cole, looks like you are doing yourself out of a job by getting all the projects done around the farm. The weather is still strange and where is the first winter snow? The December rains has given the crops a head start which Brian was happy about. Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.
I thought SD got a big ol snow storm a few days ago. Maybe I dreamed it. I answered the questionnaire for AG1 but I cannot take biotin (haven't got a thyroid now and it messes with the levels). I was excited for a little bit though. My job was to stack the branches and limbs in a big pile away from where the tree was being cut. That was a long time ago when we burned wood to heat our home. Good times! Happy New Year Sonne's and Queen Ellie. I pray 2024 is good to all of us. Thanks for all you do. Storla Station
We get those kind of fencing issues, lots of wooded fencing is always a challenge. You guys got to it and fixed it right up, but as we both know, fencing on a cattle farm is always going to be there. Like what your doing with the videos and the farm. Thanks and have a good day!
How old is the pup now ours does the same thing but she is also a house dog not farm dog aka spoiled glad the shelters held together for you guys always nice to get projects done but with any farm there is always something to do.
AG1 that’s what the guy in the shop over in Denver told me I needed. Boy it’s some interesting stuff 🤯 it definitely was a good time but there’s no warnings and using it around live burgers and steaks 👀not recommended because you get very hungry.
Did you ever talk about how you grow and improve the grass in your pastures? Do you periodically reseed t it, if so with what mix of seeds. And do you fertilize and spray it b with an herbicide? You do such a good job raising you cattle I imagine you have a plan for your pastures ascwell
Great start to the New Year! Good times to get things done and to watch Elli do her tricks walking on the hay, "How did she get up there Cole?" Always love your videos, learn stuff and enjoy you doing the work and not me, Peace to you this year.
They couldn’t find the door to get back home you had to make them a new one and look at how excited and in a hurry they were to get home! 🤣😂. Cole did you get a sewing machine for Christmas so u can mend those pants? Lol. Maybe next year. Great video. ❤️❤️
Love your video's, oh oh so many memories, yes I used to do the same thing, I Lived on a ranch truly really miss those days , Love your set up for the cattle and the calf's. 😊😊Cori from Montana
Have you ever tried cutting your buttom cut first on trees or limbs before the top cut? Seems like I've had better control of where things end up as well as being able to get away from the falling branches. Just a suggestion I've found that works for me. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and vacation
If i where a cow id want to break into the Sonne farm ..munch down on some quality ground hay , some corn silage and a tasty handful of Dakota Gold while being soothed to the gentle rythem of Brians Song of the day. Happy New Year team.
Sonne Farms. Most reliable, consistent, quality FarmTube channel. Appreciate you, Cole.

Cows are looking beautiful
Thank you Sonne farms!
Father and son Sonne at it again in 2024. Teamwork! Thank you for another great video.
I really enjoy watching your videos. There's no end to fixing fence when you have cattle around.

That was nice of the weather to cooperate so you could get things cleaned up that you wanted to.
Cole and Dad Brian thank you for sharing everything.God bless you all.
I had 57 black angus out yesterday too. Thankfully they just hung out in the summer pasture and didnt make it to the airport!
You have a brake light out on the John Deere that you load the feeder wagon with.
to save your trousers when working with barbed wire, maybe used leg guards that chain saw operators use.
Love your videos. Young Cole, guess since them thar barbie wired fences ruined your pants, guess now they are " Pant-Tease"!! Arr arr arr, chuckle, snort.😅😂😊 ME thinks that deserves a Sonne Farms freebie of Sonnething'.

And kid's ponies are the worst for that... having one that climbed through fences to hang out with cows with bulls ,,,right up in the middle of them😮

Now I understand why you have your cows “ pellet trained”. Kind of like teaching a dog to recall using treats. On the bright side Cole when is the last time you hammered in a steel post that easy in end of December/January before? 😮
You got a lot done in this one Cole. I would go do something productive now, but watching you guys get after it wore me out. Cheers Gents.
Oh how much fun there is on the farm, ranch or feedlot...now the cows ran away, since the grass is greener on the otherside. 🤔
I don’t usually read comments so this may have been answered before. Can you get your dad to tell us the significance to him of the FDNY clothing he wears? Really enjoy watching you and your dad working together.

We fertilize with Nitrogen and I spot spray weeds every summer
Hope yall get some more moisture this winter to get the water table built back up.
Loved the farm day! ❤❤❤❤
Shame on them, why would anybody want to leave Sonne Farms!
Ya you feed them and keep them healthy and this is how they do you
Well everyone once in a while wants to go on vacation!
Ha Ha. The grass is always greener…..
Is there any reason you don’t sheet down your maize silage clamp?
In oklahoma escapees get 30 days probation and have to wear ankle monitors and check in with probation officer everyday. Might try it.
Great episode. ❤
Fantastic 😊😊😊😊
Great start to the New Year! Good times to get things done and to watch Elli do her tricks walking on the hay, "How did she get up there Cole?" Always love your videos, learn stuff and enjoy you doing the work and not me, Peace to you this year.
If there was snow on the ground and you just filmed the back side I would have thought you were moving a fish house.
Happy New Year 🎊..... Whether it's beef or dairy those bovines can be little stinkers but we love them none the less.
Or Caprines!
They couldn’t find the door to get back home you had to make them a new one and look at how excited and in a hurry they were to get home! 🤣😂. Cole did you get a sewing machine for Christmas so u can mend those pants? Lol. Maybe next year. Great video. ❤️❤️

How is the chopped hay pad working out?
good so far
Nice to see you pounding in a t-post like the rest of us
Ya need some Kevlar or leather chaps to wear when working with barbed wire.
Save some pants and maybe some skin.
Thanks 👍😊
