- A few calm and wholesome summer days spent solo travelling in London and Lisbon. In these first few days of being overseas after moving from Australia I have been trying to find my feet whilst being in different places. Maintaining healthy habits which ground me is so important to me whilst I solo travel. For me, it's the little things like slow mornings, solo dates in cafes, journaling, painting in the park, spending quality time with friends and giving myself the space to think and feel. Hello, I consider moving and I wanted to know how was living in Australia as a black woman ?
@@Lucia-zk7xwso many things! I’ve lived in Sydney and Byron Bay and my experience has been that lots of people are very clueless and ignorant which leads to micro aggressions that I kinda just learnt to accept. I’ve found it slightly isolating at times and feel a sense of otherness which is one of the main factors that leads me to go overseas because I crave a deeper sense of togetherness, understanding and belonging. For me, it’s very nuanced but I haven’t at all had a negative experience. I am super grateful to have lived in Australia because it’s given me such a special connection to nature and the quality of life is amazing. Hope this helps ❤️
