I needed this. My 31st birthday this year was so lonely. I found myself in pity & sadness… people closest to me didn’t remember my birthday and all the grand plans for outside of the country travel & expectations for new friendship failed. So the actual day to reflect on my existence was heavy. Next year on my 32nd I’m hoping to be an evolved person who has less expectations on others and more gratitude for still being here.
I have that book too. Just reminded me to read it, it’s on my book self. I love going into Waterstones and just spending hours looking around and having a coffee on my own (I’m an introvert ). But would love to find an old bookshop to browse round. X
