So sad for Pippen. He's not happy in his old age but he can still overcome his grudge. He is not MJ but he is Pip and a great basketball player and one of the best.
MJ clearly said, When you say his name, Scottie Pippin name should be said as well because he never won without Pip. That is clearly an amazing statement being most people say MJ is the goat. 🤛🏾
Nb tem's mean work as a team and as far as I'm concern is Michael wouldn't of been nothing with pippen and pippin wouldn't of been nothing without Jordan either
Although true he also claims to be the goat. I know that there's been some PR going ohh the go doesn't talk like that now But for many many years he was claiming to be the goat period. Now he's trying to play the humble role and a lot of people forget that for a long time he ran around saying he was the best the goat pointing at his rings. It was part of his PR campaign for everything that he was pushing at the time. but times have changed So the PR must change with it So PR my gas light the public and make them think that ohh jordan will never do that. Can't tarnish is a good name. and with lebron coming out and saying that he was the best ever they couldn't have Jordan trying to defend himself It's if he did. Which is why now it's the humble Jordan that we're seeing. it's business people Stop acting like there's no there's no PR going on You're spreading propaganda. Go watch the videos yourself It's not hard to find them.
MJ didn’t make Pippen look bad. Pip did that himself. In the last dance MJ was really put under fire by his attitude, competiveness, gambling, his dad, retirement, baseball etc…
MJ is no saint but everyone who saw it will AGREE that the LAST DANCE(not the documentary but the 97-98 season) was MJ dragging everyone to the championship. Pippen, Longley and Kerr missed a lot of games due to Injuries. Rodman was getting off the rail. Kukoc and Harper didn't really stepped up on offense. Team was so depleted MJ had to dig deep and rely on players like Scott Burrell Despite all that, the bulls still won 62 games during the season which guaranteed an easy 1st round in the playoffs that allowed them to take a little breather.
You crazy!! MJ had the best defenders in the league! Rodman was leading the league in rebounding and the Bulls was still the favorite in the finals. Yall MJ fans are so transparently bias, stop acting like he didn't play on the best team in the league and without him they in the top 5 of teams in the league. Sh1t is ridiculous
@@mcdiesel7505 Rodman also averaged 4pts per game while Pippen missed half of the season lol. Jordan played all 82 games, 39mins per game while him and his whole team, except Scott Burrell, are running on fumes and won 62 games. He did that at the age of 34 And Pippen had the audacity to accuse MJ of making the last dance all about himself when Pip was the one who sat down half of the season
@@dylanlanzuela7305 MJ wasn't leading the league in rebounding, you make no sense there. MJ had Rodman, Kukoch, kerr who is one of the greatest shooters in league history and a shutdown defender in Ron Harper! When MJ wasn't there Bulls won 55 games, pip missed 30 games and MJ won 7 more games with a better team than Pip had without MJ. This is nonsensical.
@@mcdiesel7505 Kerr missed a lot of games in 98. Kukoc was a 6th man who played limited minutes You are 12 so you never saw how depleted the Bulls were in 98
Pippen is that jealous brother overshadowed by his more talented and popular brother. If you watched other vintage bulls docus, the story was always centered on Michael. Nobody wants to know what Scottie had for breakfast. Lets be real. If the Last dance did not focus on MJ would people still talking about it? Certainly not. It is because of the Last dance that younger gens began to research old school ball and all those legendary opponents of the goat. its like free airtime and spotlight once again.
It took Pippen 4 years in the league before he finally made his first All star game 1987-1991. He was learning from Jordan while Jordan molded him into a Robin. So Pippen is an ungrateful SOB.
@@gabrielw7773 He does come off as ungrateful. He even complains about contracts he signed because he valued a paycheck even if he got hurt over possibly making more in the long run and was pissed they didn't let him out of his contract. If he signed a 2 year contract and hurt himself a week later, would he tell them he doesn't expect to get paid because he can't do his job? No way, but expects that from others. We're talking a guy still making millions a year here.
Pippen disappoints me because we all had respect for him. Everyone knows he was a great player, but way to ruin your own legacy by dogging MJ and Phil. The doco was 3 years ago and the bitter old man still won’t shut up about it. To me his skills were that good that he’s still in my top 20. He’s just doing more harm than good at this point. MJ has received so much praise and rightfully so, he was the better player and the leader. I just hope Scottie finds some kind of peace with the whole thing. We still love you Scottie but stop trashing your old team mates and coach. It’s just poor form.
@@DavidHernandez-ht6tq Pippen’s Private life is a travesty, man it’s really sad it really is.His wife destroyed his legacy and almost destroyed him .He wasn’t in his feelings about that Documentary it was hie ex ,that’s why he deflected it towards Micheal.
I'll answer that. I think Pip was content with taking his hidden animosity for MJ to the grave. Once that documentary came out, he could no longer hide his disdain for his former teammate. He clearly had issues with Jordan for years.
Pip you are one of the greatest and MJ even said there’s no Jordan Championships with Pippen. Even if he wasn’t a great guy or kinda a jerk, he still wanted all his teammates to win and that is his drive and desire to be the best. Both of you are legends
You maggots never use this equation with Magix bird or zeke or kobe...it always jordan wouldn't of won without pippen Knowing good and well pippen aver 16 for a career and all jordan needed was a all star and he winning 6...yall just be talking
Pippen = Mr Passive Aggressive. Look, Michael WAS the star. He WAS the draw. He was Michael Jackson. Pippen was Jermaine. It doesn't mean the teammaters were not important but MJ was a once in a lifetime talent and performer. People rearranged their day to watch him play. He was hugely successful. His game was charismatic. If Pippen played in most places, he'd be as known as Paul George. If he played with Magic, he'd be as known as Worthy or Cooper. But because Pippen played with MJ, everyone knows his name. That's the part he doesn't get. His fame rose with MJ"s. Now it didn't rise as far as MJ's did but it shouldn't have. MJ was the gravy train. No one would have stopped their lives to watch a document on the Lakers to see James Worthy. It would be about Magic. To his credit, Worthy understands that and accepts it. Mr Passive Aggressive wants the same adulation as the most exciting player to ever play. Stop it. Pippen was a great player but his game was boring by comparison. No one would have watched the Bulls with Scottie as their leader all those years. I know because I watched the Bulls during Pippen's whole career. Die hard Bulls fans would know who Scottie was but no one else would have tuned in. He would have been the small forward version of Tim Duncan in terms of ratings.
I agree wholeheartedly. Jordan was by far the most exciting player in the league, and Scottie is just as jealous as a 4 year old throwing a hissy fit over not getting the toy he wanted. Childish.
@@the_freedom_runner I don't see no reason why he has to be jealous of Michael Jordan... Jordan is just a traveling salesman with a basketball in my opinion and many others that watched real basketball before the time of mj .......
1:59 mins its sounds like they cut something out of the video. The 1994 incident Scottie said he wouldn't change a thing he would still sit out of the last play of the game. In the beginning of the 97-98 season, Scottie got foot surgery and said in the last dance he didn't want to fck up his summer vacation and ended up almost missing half of the season
@@tellitlikeitisfresh6541 I know everyone was upset that MJ called Scottie Selfish. Bu the thing people failed to realize is that the director was showing MJ what other people said and then got MJ reaction. MJ heard Scottie say he wasn't going to Fck up his summer vacation and then MJ called what he said Selfish. At least that is what I believed really happened. MJ didn't think Scottie was selfish because he waited till the beginning of the season to get surgery it was not showing remorse that he thought was selfish. Because the same thing happened to his reaction to what Zeke said and what Horace Grant said
@@sonnywoods6846 Regardless, hypothetical or not Scottie was selfish. He decided to be petty about his contract and instead of being a teammate and buying in, he decided to screw the team. MJ told him not to make that deal because it wouldn't be renegotiated, but he decided to do it anyway and got mad about the results a couple years later. Scottie was a selfish person then and he's a selfish person now.
@@strmshadow8411 FACTS that why I didn't understand the backlash in 2020. In Scottie's own words, he said I wouldn't change a thing, and then in his own words, he said I wasn't going to fck up my summer vacation. MJ didn't make Scottie look bad Scottie made himself look bad. All he had to do was apologize for 94 and everyone would support him. don't forget he said that he never gave MJ condolences when his father was murdered.
When anyone says that MJ was selfish, that was not a result of special treatment from Dean Smith at UNC. On the contrary, Smith held him in check. The "selfishness" came because of his first Bulls coach, Doug Collins. Collins put everything on Michael mainly because they didn't have much of a team, and he knew Mike could score at will. But this style wouldn't win championships. That's why Collins was replaced by Jackson. Jackson had to convince Mike to trust his teammates and let them make mistakes. Allow them to fail so they would grow. It also helped that they drafted better players to put around Mike. And even though Pippen played Robin to Mike's batman, there was always a reliable but overlooked third player. In the first 3-peat, it was Horace Grant. If anyone was underappreciated, it was Grant. Then, in the second 3-peat, we all know about Rodman, I can't say he was underappreciated. I'd say Rodman was taken for granted. He was there, but the focus was on the "dynamic duo."
Oh my god!! You know what I’m hearing “wah, wah, wah, wah!! I’m not Michael Jordan!!” And why is this guy surprised and upset that Jordan got creative control over The Last Dance project?? He’s Michael fucking Jordan!!!!
Scottie can make his own documentary if he wants….also, for me, I think Scottie Pippen in his prime is more than a match for LeBron….just my humble opinion
I lived through this era. I am and always will be a fan of those teams. Even when they were playing far before the Last Dance was made, it was always Michael Jordan and the Bulls. The Bulls were always Mikes and the team was always second to Mike. He was always the hero. I don’t understand the confusion that Scottie lives in.
When Bulls were playing people decided who was the real hero and everyone knew it was MJ and the bulls and MJ didn’t need to emphasize that.Every player considered themselves lucky to be on MJ’s team. Now when making a documentary if he makes it about him and his team, people try to argue as if it was about 5 players with equal skills 😁
We called it Michael and the Jordanaires lol. MJ was so appreciative of Pip that he campaigned for him to get the MVP when he came back from retirement. I saw MJ teach Pip everything since he was a rookie but pip unfortunately has a beta mentality. When MJ retired, Pip actually said he didn't know that it was this hard being a leader and he begged for Jordan to come back. Pip's beta mind is showing itself right now. Complaining that when MJ compliments him that it's patronizing, wow that is some weak, child stuff. That's like my ex hating on her dad for caring too much about wealth while she's living in a five bedroom penthouse on Park Avenue, paid by him of course. Pip has been so spoiled by MJ's success that he can write books and complain that he wants more. I think it's time to downgrade Pip since we know his beta flaws have played out many times but how many more are there? MJ needs to be elevated because he actually won with this type of sidekick. Now I have to doubt whether Pip really had a migraine or was really injured in all those crucial moments in the first place because he may just have not wanted Jordan to win, think about that. I do recall going through era that Pip always seemed to have a problem at the worst time. This topic needs to be researched seriously.
You would think after he used Jordan as clout to sell his book a few years ago. And doing all that viral clout chasing to sell his book, bu down talk about Jordan. To get his money and the dude still crying.
clearly you weren't around in the 90s. but you're talking about is nothing but PR. And it wasn't just Jordan It was everybody on the team They all sacrificed a lot but they all made a lot of money Jordan just made way more than everybody else. and in the 90s he was everywhere and wasn't playing basketball most of the time. he did commercial after commercial after commercial. So I don't know what sacrifices you think he made. he's the rich he's the richest basketball player to ever live what a sacrifice

Pippen will be robin for life , To Jordan . He is as jealous of Jordan as comodus of Maximus in gladiator . As bitter as it comes . I don like people like him
Pippen just bitter, he's an ingrate. He became Pippen that we know bec of MJ. Imagine guarding the best player in the planet daily on their scrimmages? How can he not be the best defensive player?
Disagree. The documentary still portrayed MJ as an ass&@“e. Multiple people interviewed talked about it. When the Bulls lost especially early against Detroit MJ would get blasted. Scottie is mad b/c MJ talked about and criticized his refusing to enter the game in 93-94 playoffs and for purposely waiting to get surgery before the 97-98 season. So what, some of the criticism was deserved.
Yeah, that criticism was very deserved. And a funny thing is he could've came off as a whole lot better if he just would've accepted accountability for it and said he screwed up and was being selfish (growing pains). But he decided to look like a tool and then get mad when everyone saw it. It's like what did you expect?
It portrayed him as one because he IS one. The traits that made Jordan the greatest also made him a horrible person. I always thought he was an a****** but after TLD I realized he was way worse than I thought
I liked scottie pippin, only when he played with MJ! He had chance to prove himself when MJ went to play baseball. MJ came out of retirement, left baseball, and bailed out pippin! He shouldn't say crap after all these years. Im pulling his man card!
I always thought Scottie was badd azz but it is so sad to see him act like this! Every NBA friend I have were always singing his praise! We never talked MJ with mentioning Scottie..😔
Jordan 1 is the most saleable signature shoes Jordan without ring maybe still can be included as one of the greatest player in NBA league but Pippen without Jordan will just overshadow by Barkley, Mugsy, Malone, Penny, Shaq, Olajuwon, Spudd, Isiah, Garnet, Stockton, Miller etc.... in short he was nobody what happen to Pippen after Jordan retire he was nobody not a threat nobody talk about him unlike Rodman he still the king of rebound. To think Barkley is still a beast even he gets fat in rockets alongside with Hakeem their leading scorer in rockets they never get a ring this exposed Pippen being just overrated.
Sad that pippen hated being cast by mj & the media NBA as in his shadow but he puts his book out & pippen sells it based on mj. So way to put urself in mjs shadow . What an ingrate. If pippen were drafted by any other team no way would he have gotten that kind of attention & exposure. I could name 10 small fwds at least in that Era that were as good if not better than pippen but b/c they werent the teammate to mj they are forgotten. Mj had the global spotlight on him & pippen got so much hype exposure etc. He got his enormous contract b/c mj came back. If he didn't the bulls were barely a .500 team & close to being dismantled. Rodman actually was huge in 98 when selfish pippen had his surgery so he didn't mess his summer up. That's great to ur other teammates. Such a spoiled selfish brat. Many other players during the 90s tried to tell us pippen really wasn't as great as he was made out to be. He's actually the best role player ever but on his own & not next to mj he'd be a Kendall gill or Clarence Weatherspoon. Also pippen took over o playoff games has o last second shots & his only memorable play was dunking on an already falling back Patrick Ewing & than standing over him really disrespectful then pointing in spike Lee's face. People were like omg pippen alone carried the bulls that first year mj left. How about that was Toni kucok first year which helped a lot & Horace grant stepping up his game. End of the day they were bounced in the 2nd round. So they were obviously nowhere near the mj bulls & the next season like I said they were barely .500. Also pippen was warned by everyone not to sign that long contract that was front loaded. So it's misleading to say the last years of the contract he was so underpaid b/c of the cap he was paid well & on a level w/ very good players. To not play hard b/c of a contract u had to sign against the advice of even the owner who said next year I can give u more don't sign this b/c I won't renegotiate later. Again NBA had a cap not like the mlb where it's unlimited spending. So once a player signed a contract based on the restrictions of the cap it was very difficult to renegotiate when u had 11 other contracts to worry about all being below the cap. Scottie has always seemed beyond immature & took a contract that he demanded & wanted the money, the biggest chunks the first few years & he also demanded it be long term. So it's his own problem he got locked into the contract that he wound up hating. When pippen sat out that play it was so incredibly despicable. Esp given the bulls were in danger of going down 0-3 to the Knicks. The fact that the man says he'd do it again speaks volumes to what kind of person he Is. So him sitting out told the Knicks scottie wasn't even a decoy so they knew to double up on kukoc & he still hit the shot. I was a Knicks fan & people wondered why pat Riley loved a John starks so much. In 92 when starks was playing his heart out guarding mj & being a huge factor in how they took the bulls to 7 starks was making the league minimum wage. Which was 100k a year. So was starks whining over him playing & contributing way more than Gerald Wilkins who was making like 1 million a year? Yes its hard to believe but even the best players like a mj " only " made in 92 tops 3 million a year. Scottie was a millionaire playing a kids game instead of working some manual hard labor job. He should have Been grateful not so worried about who was making what & again his dumb self was greedy & not smart & wanted that exact contract when the owner said next year I'll have a better contract for you b/c of the cap & u having another year of experience. Pippen wanted the $$ now & like I said it looked like he was payed so poorly the last few years b/c he made the big portions of the salary the first few years. That's how the contract was constructed. So his first few years he might have been the 2nd highest paid on the team. Since he also wanted a long term contract as inflation & the salary cap got larger yes other newer players or traded players made more based on their contracts from other teams or what inflation demanded was now what a certain crop of players were worth. So when pippen signed the contract 7 years before if in the 5th year he was making say a million nobody knew the NBA would get as big as it did & the league would expand the cap & who can predict the inflation numbers 5 years down the road. I think the bulls didn't have the room to negotiate what pippen I'm sure was demanding. The bulls might not have had the room to give pippen what he probably demanded which I'm sure was ridiculous. Once they had the room they did a sign & trade for an absurd amt of money given pippens age of like 34 & he's being paid a fortune over a lot of years when his best years were behind him & he was still unhappy wherever he went. Houston Portland then he went back to Chicago! The place he hated so much.
Pippen made 109 million during his 17 years with the league. Current net worth is 20M, which means he’s about as bad at money management as you can get.
the dude signed a long term contract. if you know you will one day be worth more, then don't sign long term. take responsibility for your own actions, dude. and calling $100M+ "so little money" is just a wee bit privileged, wouldn't you say?
@@laz0rama lol damn didn't mean to trigger you. Jesus christ the anger in your words. Sorry I meant so little money with the bulls . I also said he made a ton. God bless you and your opinion but just relax a little please.
I don't pick sides, but it has to be 5 on the court at one time... Think about the rebounds Dennis rodman had.... It's literally the Bulls team that won.. not one person... I don't think the rules let 4 play against 5, let alone 1.... The only Goat convos can happen with sports like tennis, golf, ping pong... Makes no sense in team sports..
@@Atmtoc lol what? So basketball does not require 5 players from each team on the court at the same time??? I didn't comment an opinion... Those are facts
@Rob305 and yet what MJ did is not as amazing, as tiger woods, Venus Williams.. Usain bolt.... I guess that's why y'all argue the Goat stuff, cause no one will ever be right... Bill Russel has 11 rings.... Wilt dropped 100 in one game... MJ won a chip with the flu....
Grant Hill, Shawn Kemp, Chris Webber or Dominique Wilkins could have helped Michael Jordan win a championship just the same. Pippen was just extra star help .... that's it.
What Scottie doesn't understand is that a lot of players back in the 80-90s could replaced him and Jordan would still won't 5-6 titles. Jordan was that good and just needed that much help. On the other hand Scottie could have also played with a lot of other players back then and his career would be no where near what it was. Now he might score a bit more than 16 PPG if he was the number 1 option on other teams, but he wouldn't have won as many championships as he did without playing with Jordan. He played with Hakeem and Barkley, 2 HOF and they got bounced in the 1st round of the playoff. After 1998 when Jordan retired for the 2nd time Pippen played 6 more years and averaged around 11 PPG. His team made the playoff 5 out of 6 years so his teams were not bad, but his team also got bounced from the playoff in the 1st round 4 out of 5 times. Pippen had the chance to elevate his game and show what he could do after Jordan retired. He didn't.
It’s sad that Pips dislike of MJ is centered around Pips most embarrassing moment. 3.8 seconds! Pip is allowing his mistake to sit out those 3.8 seconds to define his career.
Sucks that Pip feels how he does. Mike took just as much criticism as Pip in the series. We want our good to show rather than our not so good, this is what I see as the issue. When a person can show both sides of his life without feeling a way about it shows that the person is being transparent. Kerr had a moment, Rodman had a moment & the rest of the team were giving their due but they were all players to be recognized. The NBA showed some of the same clips and no one had a complaint about it.
People always understate that year Jordan retired... Scottie should have been league MVP and they were one game away from going to the finals (and likely winning the championship). It would have reshaped how people viewed MJ, Scottie, and the rest of the Bulls. That's why Phil writing up the play for Tony was such a big deal to Scottie, he'd been under respected, underpaid, and underappreciated and put together a LEGENDARY season in MJs absence to build his own legacy, but he wasnt given the same respect as MJ to take the final shot... by his own coach.
Jealousy is a weakness Pip! You'll never be MJ but nobody else will either. Maybe try being a little humble for the 6 rings you got and for being able to be a starter in the greatest nba team all time! It's nobody's fault but your own u burned up all the $ u made playing!
That Last Dance documentary really slapped Pippen and the rest of his teammates like they did ok. Pippen was the key, the bad boy pistons all agree. Once Pippen got tougher and confident our stranglehold on their team would be over.
The Bulls were a great Team. They all complimented each other. I’m 52. Watched bball as a kid. I’m not an expert. They have enormous amounts of talent. Which made them so great!!! Thank you guys for all your dedication and fun watching you play night after night. Made us fans, feel a part of the team. 😊😊😊
Pippen the player was amazing. Definitely one of the greats back then. He's bitter now & I get it, but it is what it is. As a diehard Celtics fan my whole life, I have only feared playing one player every single game against him. That was Jordan. He literally took over games when his team may have been off. Legit have never had that feeling since. He was Larry Bird but with ridiculous athletic ability. Top 2 basketball IQ's hands down, IMO. When you add Scottie, it was almost unfair to everyone. Both were amazing two way players. To hear they hated each other even then, in Scottie's views, makes me wonder how much more amazing they could have been if they loved each other. I think it's just aged resentment at always being considered a #2. He's in the HOF for what he did. Noone can take that shine for eternity. Someday I hope he realizes that and gets past this drama. Anyways, that's my two cents. (all points made here are my own opinions. they may differ from yours & that's okay)
scottie was a great sidekick... he was in NO WAY like larry bird lmfao... birds last 3 yrs when he could barely move were better than any of scotties best 3 yrs offensively... when pippen got hurt he fell off a cliff... had he had the skill and bb IQ anywhere near bird he would have been able to still produce like bird... bird was right about pippen . great player but if it were not for mj we basically wouldn't know about pippen
Scottie Trippen! Once again MJ continues to be a trailblazer. If Scottie would’ve released his book or documentary before The Last Dance; it wouldn’t receive the love and the views that MJ has received. Scottie should appreciate the fact that he has his 6 rings because of MJ. If it was that bad to play with MJ; why was he quiet all those years? MJ doesn’t have to respond to his BS. Scottie is teflon because nothing sticks to him. Great post
I'm a huge fan of Scottie pippen but he's handled this really bad All he had to do was call Jordan told him what he needed to tell him kept it private and kept it out the media.
They did an hour-long Australian 60 Minutes on Luc Longley and Michael came and gave a interview where he said Luke was good as long as he was there motivating and breathing fire down his neck and that's a one-time me complimented him he stopped trying. Luc was completely left out of the doc
Jordan is not the reason for Pippen being discredited. It's Jordan's fans. No matter what happens, people are always going to be bias towards Jordan. Even if, or when Jordan is wrong or over praised for something that benefits Jordan due to Pippens doing. It's not Jordan's fault though, no matter how much Jordan praised Pippen, people still are shallow to Pippen.
First off, MJ always gave credit to Pippen. MJ's HOF speech, interviews and even in the last dance. "When people speak of Michael Jordan, they should speak Scottie Pippen as well". That's not credit? And when Pippen says that Jordan gets credit when winning but not in losing, not including the years before '91, when did they lose? Sure they lost games, but at the end of the day, they won the title. Scottie put himself in a bad position. During the interview he had a chance to redeem himself when asked about the incident where he sat out the last play. What did he say? "If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would have probably did the same thing". And as for being "the supporting cast", so who was it? What happened in 93-94 season? What happened in Houston and Portland? Pippen is one of the greatest no doubt about it, but he has to stop talking.
When two big egos collide, one is always pissed off ! Respect and appreciation are probably not given to everyone ! Plus reflection are not given to everyone !
I've never seen 2 players have that much chemistry on the court? To walk off it and be so divided I mean they to this day was considered one of best if not the best team in history?
Respect, that’s within self/don’t blame your shortcomings on anyone else/y’all retired n life goes on,okay you don’t care for mj,it’s fine n wish both well/blessings
So here's what happened.. The Bulls pick Scottie and Horace in the same draft. Krause made those moves. Bulls trade Oakley to get it done with Cartwright. Scottie and Horace, still emerging. Without these things happening they don't reach the finals over Detroit. Proof: Scottie's headache in final game 89 Eastern Conference Championship. MJ could it alone, but nice try. Horace or (I think Cliff Livingston) couldn't pick up the slack enough to overcome Bad Boys. Scottie had to bulk up and mature. Jordan needed help..( just a note here..if Jordan doesn't get help he turns into Oscar before Kareem, or Pistol Pete). 91 Bulls get 2cd Ring Scottie goes for secure contract. Reinsdorf tries to talk him out of it but Scottie insists. From then on thru the 90s Scottie can't let it go when others pass him by monetarily. Becomes a thorn in his side.. He gas flashes of brilliance but just misses on the ref throwing the NY game in 94. End of 95 MJ return. They lose in playoffs and regroup for 96. MJ and Bulls win 3 yrs straight..no question its the group of: MJ SCOTTIE RODMAN Harper Kucoch Lonely. Group win. Without any one of those players they don't win! So without you're teammates you lose. Scottie got wat to emotional. It is what it is..let it be!
The root of Pippens animosity is jealousy. Jordan is worth around two billion and Pippen is worth around twenty million. Furthermore Jordan donated the $10 million he received from the Last dance to charity.
This makes me so sad! I used to Love Pippin! Along with Mike!! But Mike made Pippin, Pippin! And always tried to give him his credit! He has always said, "There is no Michael Jordan without Pippin!" What a creepy move just looking to make a dollar! It should be an HONOR to be in Jordan's shadow!!! You should know better than to go against THE G.O.A.T., the LEGEND!! So sad!!
Pippen just got lucky to be given an opportunity to play with the GOAT. At least he tasted fame and fortune which he lost because of his own doing. Without MJ he is nothing.
MAD respect for Pip and he is definitely an all time great, it's just sad his poor bruised ego won't let him STFU. This constant crying in the press is going to destroy his public legacy.
MJ like some mentioned was no saint, and Pippen was asked to take a lesser role and to focus more on defense and control the ball. and if MJ valued Pippen, when he extorted Reinsdorf for a 32 million dollars he never, did the same for Pippen, the Last Dance was and self-embellishment for MJ at the cost of his teammates, but how many years did people like Pippen support MJ and get him 6 titles and basketball is a Team game there is no I in team, and there is no Championship with only MJ in the team...Pippen was defacto an co-MVP and should have been awarded such.
Scotty holds some deep seeded resentments against MJ because MJ was the face of the team for all the years they played together. MJ was also the superstar that all the young people wanted to be like. Scotty wanted what MJ had and possibly Scotty wanted to be MJ.
Michael Jordan really should have acknowledged Scottie Pippen Dennis Rodman and many other teammates. Michael Jordan could easily put them all in the Limelight for they too received a gratification for the work they have helped you do be a teammate like they were to you you didn't do it by yourself Dennis Rodman Scottie Pippen there was some bad boy help push the glory that's the least you can do for them despite what you don't like you got imagine what they didn't like but they still buy you
Lol the only new information I got from this video is the making of the Jordan documentary with the Wizards. Everything else was rehashed information that everyone knew lol
Base on this video Scott reaction, its makes me wonder cuz most of it's contradict specially at contract, base on Scott manager he got warned to not sign the contract again to Bulls but he choose it now he blame everything. Also when I was kid watching NBA, Scott never ever heard he complained except about Kukok last shot, now decades ago he pop up in era of entitlement
Bitterness by Pippen is justified hence "Last Dance" extra stirred up emotions. Imagine how these players felt with Jordan in media for 30 years, he's getting paid, I firmly believe that media narrative goes with marketing goals in wider sense. MJ is Airness because rings and rings don't come without a team....
To all you people who clearly don’t know the game. MJ was a great player, but not the Goat of NBA as a whole. The Bulls were a great team for an era with many great players that don’t get the credit for their greatest. Pippen was the player who surely help The Bulls become a dynasty!
Pippens reaction is not about basketball like other comments here make it but the documentary.. Jordan was selfish, and just because he was a great player you favor him immediately even if Pips arguments are valid
If you think about it, Football (or soccer as The Americans called it), never had so many unnecessary stupid issues like US does. Even NHL & NBL had the same problems. As for NFL, I cannot make any comparisons because that sport itself uses HANDS to grab the ball yet the name is FOOTBALL.
So sad for Pippen. He's not happy in his old age but he can still overcome his grudge. He is not MJ but he is Pip and a great basketball player and one of the best.

Team was so depleted MJ had to dig deep and rely on players like Scott Burrell
Despite all that, the bulls still won 62 games during the season which guaranteed an easy 1st round in the playoffs that allowed them to take a little breather.

At least that is what I believed really happened. MJ didn't think Scottie was selfish because he waited till the beginning of the season to get surgery it was not showing remorse that he thought was selfish. Because the same thing happened to his reaction to what Zeke said and what Horace Grant said

Now when making a documentary if he makes it about him and his team, people try to argue as if it was about 5 players with equal skills 😁
Straight Facts! Mike was and still is da Man!

Feel bad for Scottie. He made so little money in the NBA. But he also made a ton.

It’s sad that Pips dislike of MJ is centered around Pips most embarrassing moment. 3.8 seconds! Pip is allowing his mistake to sit out those 3.8 seconds to define his career.
Pippen lucky he played in nba. Not alot can play at his level and even plY next to jordan.
League mvp? You forget a man named hakeem
Finals? They lost in the east semifinals bruh
They lost in the 2nd round. So how were they 1 round away from the finals?
Jealousy is a weakness Pip! You'll never be MJ but nobody else will either. Maybe try being a little humble for the 6 rings you got and for being able to be a starter in the greatest nba team all time! It's nobody's fault but your own u burned up all the $ u made playing!
That Last Dance documentary really slapped Pippen and the rest of his teammates like they did ok. Pippen was the key, the bad boy pistons all agree. Once Pippen got tougher and confident our stranglehold on their team would be over.
How’d he get tougher?
The Bulls were a great Team. They all complimented each other. I’m 52. Watched bball as a kid. I’m not an expert. They have enormous amounts of talent. Which made them so great!!! Thank you guys for all your dedication and fun watching you play night after night. Made us fans, feel a part of the team. 😊😊😊
Straight Facts Bro! I'm ur age and they had great chemistry and could really defend with MJ and Pippen as the anchors.
Success, money, championships, and being the right hand man of the greatest athlete ever, and still not happy.
Pippen was overrated. Stop claiming he was unstoppable. His number do not reflect that!
@@brianholleran6340 Maybe you should reread my comment. Never said anything about pippen being anything like Bird at all bub.
It’s all about Larsa 😢
Why didn’t MJ seek a front office position with the Bulls?
Jerry Krause.
Ask Larry Bird what he said back in 1997. End Of story.!! Mr. Pippen just carrying on too much for my opinion.
And that's saying a lot, cause he knows Larsa Pippen
Scottie was Robin...nothing wrong with that. He played that role very well until 1998..
MJ willed that team to victory
How about a doc on his college days, which would be amazing.
Pippen has a point but...GET OVER IT!
Pippin has a good point, but at the same time, he has to push past that.
Pippen never should've signed on to be Michael's Robin. That was a huge mistake.
MJ and Bulls win 3 yrs straight..no question its the group of:
MJ
SCOTTIE
RODMAN
Harper
Kucoch
Lonely.
Pippin mad cause MJ son dateing his ex.😂
Can't blame Pip. The Last Dance should have been titled The Adventures of Michael Jordan.
U can go cry wid him den 🤡
MJ was the Batman and Pippen was the Robin.
Michael Jordan could easily put them all in the Limelight for they too received a gratification for the work they have helped you do be a teammate like they were to you you didn't do it by yourself Dennis Rodman Scottie Pippen there was some bad boy help push the glory that's the least you can do for them despite what you don't like you got imagine what they didn't like but they still buy you
What does Pippen want?!? Geeze... he says in the Doc, there is no MJ without Scottie.
Lol the only new information I got from this video is the making of the Jordan documentary with the Wizards. Everything else was rehashed information that everyone knew lol
Larsa fucking with Marcus is the last dagger in the back I think that Scotty can take at this point
Thought I'd always love all the Bulls but Scottie we done.
Scottie can always make his own documentary 🤷🏿♂️
After all he wrote his book without input from the other Bulls 🤷🏿♂️
Base on this video Scott reaction, its makes me wonder cuz most of it's contradict specially at contract, base on Scott manager he got warned to not sign the contract again to Bulls but he choose it now he blame everything. Also when I was kid watching NBA, Scott never ever heard he complained except about Kukok last shot, now decades ago he pop up in era of entitlement
His ex-wife Larsa dating Michael Jordan’s son Marcus doesn’t help either…
Besides all the B s Jordan has never talked down about pip, very sad
Scotty is just trying to sell a book.
Jordan quite often credited Scotty when asked.
That $10m all donated.
Oh Scottie…… let it go. This is so belittling of you. Putting yourself in the same boat with Isiah Thomas. Both pathetic.
Move on and be happy.
No kidding. Isiah's on something every week whining about MJ's comments or how Pistons (for a while) beat the Bulls.
Superstars don't make good coaches.
