How to make Teriyaki Sauce and Teriyaki Pork

- Simple recipe for Teriyaki Sauce and using the sauce to make some mouthwatering Teriyaki Pork.
This recipe is a bit on the sweet side ( you can reduce the sugar if you don't want it to be very sweet), has some pineapple bits & does not have a very thick consistency. It can be used as a marinade or as glazing or sauce for lightly seasoned cooked meats. You can use the teriyaki sauce on pork , chicken or fish or as a basting sauce for barbecues.
RECIPE FOR THE TERIYAKI SAUCE:
Ingredients: 115 grams pineapple (mash & include juice), 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, 2 tsp sesame oil, 1tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water, pinch of salt & 1/2 tsp ground pepper
Procedure: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan & cook over medium heat. bring to a boil & lower heat, stir constantly to dissolve sugar, ,simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the mixture starts to thicken a bit. You can store in a clean glass bottle once it has cooled down.
