All these videos show the installation on a nice drywall setting. I'd like to see one where they are being installed on a 100 year old lathe and plaster wall !!!!
Why are you using a bubble level when you have a laser? Make a mark, shoot your line and level the uppers and do the same for the bases. Hope you figured it out in the past 4 years
Two things I can see OK well more than two things being a cabinet installer for 24 years , one thing is why would you not just have a separate bit for your right angle drill instead of switching he’s talking about time-saving, second thing is on base cabinets when they are level they don’t necessarily touch the wall so when he puts in screws in the top of the cabinet you need to put a shim behind there so when you suck the screw in it doesn’t pull the cabinet back to the wall and lift the front up out of level. Also even on new home construction unless he patches the holes a lot of houses will not have a tile backsplash then you have the screw holes for your ledger boards. I told you there was more than two, another thing if you need to you could actually drive a screw on the base cabinets joining the two styles by drilling a hole at a angle on the front top styles as you see on the oven cabinet he didn’t have one toward the very top because he could not access it. But I also at least for joining my styles together i use the green box number 8 2 1/2 inch spax screws Phillips head/Square Drive and I don’t need to put the time-saving wax on them after I drill a pilot hole. Maybe one more thing you don’t wear toolbelt as the buckle may scratch up at the front of the base cabinets as you’re installing them plus you don’t need 50 tools
No Cabinet installer or finish carpenter in the world would wear a framers tool belt with a framing hammer hanging off it around any type of cabinetry in a kitchen ! Never ever..Use a tool bag ! that is just a huge no no, thats one time and place where a tool belt should be left on the truck..I would think this guy knows better !
You right my friend,am cabinet installer too and i've never seen any other installer wear a tool belt before,is just against the job also that would be so uncomfortable and easy to scratch finished cabinets
Maybe if you're doing commercial lol. And that's a maybe. I mainly do commercial installs doing up to 5-6 apartments a day with a partner. I only have two pouches one for screws and another to hold a torpedo level lol and then I just use the clip on the impact too hook onto my belt so that I can hold and adjust anything then grab the impact from my belt. Everything else stays on a push cart. Also we never use clamps commercial work is a whole another world all they care about is production lol took me a while to adjust too started with residential and my God does residential have to be perfect lol
I’m a cabinet installer both residential and commercial and I think it’s better than having to go back and forth for your tools. Saves time when it’s all with you. Personal preference.
What is Spax Bugle head? I can't seem to find them. Home depot doesn't even have the 2 1/2" #8 Wafer Head but I did find them online they only had the 2" there.
Guess who got new pouch/hammer and wanted to show RUclips's....lol. Might as well go ahead and wear a hard hat and safety harness to oversell tools required.... Ohhh, and laser levels - gotta have lasers!
Who the hell installs their upper cabinets before the base cabinets? I wouldn't be caught dead doubt it that way, especially if your a homeowner you will make a mistake I promise you! I always start with my base cabinets first and then add my sub top so I have a table. I also always use a 1x2 cleat to hang my uppers and screw as many as possible in a straight run BEFORE I put them on the wall. The clear is screwed into the studs so it also acts as a story pole for locating your studs.
Omg first 5 seconds of the video.... Uses a framing screw on the finished drywall with texture..... To hang the fucking specs that he will need to walk back to 80 times to look at the layout ........ PEOPLE

I just noticed the spax screw box you show at the end says flathead.
How much extra does it cost your customer that you only use spax system?
