I agree. She was unprepared and unskilled. I do agree with the guy at the end that said he was trying to be a little playful, I think he was trying to joke around with the Carrot Top thing.
It doesn't matter if she was unprepared. Nobody is perfect when they start out. You know actors don't always give oscar-worthy performances when they are starting out either. You learn as you go. Sorry, but there is no excuse for that. Someone should tear him down and see how well he can act a scene after he loses confidence.
뿡뿡! ^__^ I have no idea what you're talking about and how he's arrogant whatsoever. It was recently brought to my attention that she is a person whose intentional "awkwardness" is supposed to be funny, but in this case it appears that she just slightly annoyed Eisenburg and he was going to make a joke, which she also ruined and further annoyed him. He is torn down frequently during scenes, but himself, but his own disorder. He's also torn down by others (Jennifer Lawrence, specifically) who treat him like his disorder is a joke.
@@SalvableRuin this is their profession. There are ranks. Someone working as an assistant should never disrespect an executive no matter who is in the wrong. It’s stupid and ultimately self sabotaging. You can complain and point fingers at him, but if the roles were reversed he would be the one looking like an out of place asshole. Everyone’s life is equal, but not everyone is equal at the workplace.. whether that’s at an interview, setup, a corporation, a government office, etc.. know your place. Interviewers wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the interviewees.
Carrot Top is known for always having a prop for his jokes. I really believe he was comparing her readiness with the cards to Carrots Top's ability to have a prop for every occasion :) at least that's where I thought he was heading
Absolutely. I have never even watched carrot top, as I am not from the US, but I know he's known for prop based comedy. The interviewer just took it the wrong way.
I didn't think that Jesse was rude after hearing it a second time. The interviewer just seemed to have something against him. I thought he was nice but he responded the way he did because of her behavior
I think she was trying to play it cool in a flirtatious way. I live in L.A. and I see girls do this all the time around celebrities. Act like they're too important to be impressed by them in hopes they will swoop them up, date them, and launch their acting careers.
I thought that too, but I mean his performance in that trailer looked so forced. all he had to do was be himself but he ended up looking like a try hard. I hope he does better in the whole movie.
i actually feel sad for her. People are saying she's dumb, to me, she's actually just being Kind, Humble, smiling to cover the hidden attacks she's getting from this man. Which is unfair, he in fact, is treating her like she is dumb, and no one should do that to someone, especially who isn't being harsh to someone else, or to you. He on the other hand is being insulting, joking or not, the term joke was to make people laugh, here she's smiling to hide what is far from laughter. If you want to joke, don't make someone feel below you. Its just wrong. She's there for a job, he's there for a job. Finish it and go home. Why the extra effort to make it uncomfortable.
You are either trolling or just stupid as fuck. That bitch was rude and Jesse should have just thrown the deck at here face. That bitch needs to get slapped.
+Abigale Kirsten exactly this is her JOB, she isn't taking it too seriously if she can't do research on who she's interviewing and has to write down he questions she's asking on her hand and disrespecting the person she's interviewing.... he made a joke because she brought props to the interview just like carot top brings props to stage, she took the joke to heart when it was a lighthearted joke and got super offended and it went downhill from there... :/
She rushed him. Said its his fault that she'd cry. Plus, considering how she acted, I wouldn't go as far to say she's "dumb" per say, but she didn't really give off an air of professionalism. And I don't mean in a casual laid back interview way, I mean the writing on the hand thing, the not remember the card she had, asking him about a card trick and then basically telling him to hurry up. Cmon now. What's with making Eisenberg seem like a villain? People are acting like he's throwing rocks at a puppy.
How is he the bad guy here? She was rude and even tried hurrying him up so she could get it over with. When he asked her about carrot top, he was going to imply that she was like carrot top because she carries props, so she is like the carrot top of interviewing because... she came with a prop.
At a press junket, the celebrity stays seated and the reporters rotate in. That's what he meant by "You're on my time," meaning she's the one who only has a limited amount of time so he doesn't know why she said she wants to wrap it up (but she seemed to be implying she would go after the trick was over to incentive him to do it, but "wrap it up" makes it sound like he's lagging).
She was totally unprepared and unprofessional. I don't like Jesse as an actor, but he did nothing wrong here. Anyone that thinks he was "bullying" her is just super oversensitive.
No, people are literally defending her because she's an attractive female. Problem is only 2 people I've read so far are honest about it. She made the insult an insult, but insulting another person, when the point was just that she had props. And being called out by celebrities on how she's looking unprofessional is part of being young too. You LEARN by feedback. You LEARN by fumbling. But you speak as if people should just let things slide so she can never get better. You speak of empathy. In reality, it's shallow sympathy.
***** If I was in her shoes I would be better prepared. And wouldn't take a few lighthearted jokes personally. The only people that can be empathetic towards her are lazy slackers that don't take their jobs seriously.
@@Emy-fv5ny She threw out the first insult against Carrot Top. He just asked her if she knew who the man was and she saw it as an opportunity to down him. She's a bitch.
If you watch the whole interview she insults him first by referring to his thumb as fat....I don't think he was rude, I think it's his sense of humor, kind of sarcastic. I think she was kind of trying to be cute and flirty and I have a feeling he just enjoys messing with people a little bit...
Totally agree with ya. He seems like a bit of a messer. I think she took offence to the carrot top comment and the interview was over from there. Very unprofessional of her, I assume/hope shes not interviewing anyone anymore
From what I saw, and please feel free to disagree with me, if the interview went bad it wasn't due to anything the celebrity, in this case Jesse Eisenberg did. It's pretty obvious this so-called female interviewer wasn't prepared like she should have been. Writing things to say or ask on your hand prior to conducting an interview is tacky to say the least. I'm quite sure she had more than enough time to study and memorize the questions.
Jessie Eisenberg did nothing wrong, she was hiding something for the interview for which the actors have to do 40+ of in a day and he made a joke about her questions. She took it extremely personally and continued to interrupt him when he was actually complying with what she wanted, then she was rude.
Omg! It was HER fault! Do you guys know who carrot top is? He brings out props to do comedy. She brought a PROP so he called her carrot top. Before he could tell her that though, she made a statement that carrot top sucks.
Amelie Barre I just thought it failed in every category. I thought the story was ludicrous, and for such a huge collection of respected actors I thought the acting was really bad, too. I don't know, I just remember hating every minute of it.
He was referencing Carrot Top because she brought cards, as Carrot Top is a prop-based comedian, hence his comparison. It's as simple as that. The misunderstanding comes from her expressing her opinion of Carrot Top as being horrible just before he made the comparison.
I think the Carrot Top comment meant that she came to the interview with props. Just like Carrot Top does. He is rarely without some type of prop. A group of us ran into him on the Vegas strip and people swarmed him for autographs and he was quite friendly and pulled out props and did a two minute impromptu performance without signing one autograph. I loved it.
I met him at the IU Cinema in Bloomington. Believe it or not, he's actually INCREDIBLY shy. He's obviously trying to be a character here and not himself.
+Michael Daniel Costello You're obviously basing your opinion on one movie and not on who he is. And also, as a journalist myself, I can tell you now that she was doing a very, very poor job. On my first day in a reporting class in college, we watched this video, and once it was finished, my professor said, "You see? This is what you DON'T do during an interview." This girl was far too opinionated and cared more about what she thought than her interviewee did. That's not how good journalism works.
Wait so she wasn't prepared for the interview....I would be angry if I showed up to a interview and the person didn't care enough to have at least prepared to interview me.
"Don't cry now, cry after the interview is over." I don't really like him but that line is so SHARP even I got cut after hearing it, I'm impressed. Though I wasn't all that impressed with Now You See Me, it was so ludicrous.
MrMiguel428012 im not going to judge anyone until I see the movie, its just hard right now to see him as a lex luthor, probably because I still see him as that guy from the social network, however I will not be able to judge until the movie is actually released

he's being an ass. Poor her man, she seems like a chill chick and she actually had the guts to fight back. "so we can wrap this up" HAHAH good for you. This actor was being condecending and using jokes to throw some low blows.
Professor Kush why? He was a setting up a joke about carrot top with her flash cards being like carrot tops props. Calling someone dense and leavings is just being a prick
I think what he meant by carrot top is that she had those cards just in her pocket and doesn't carrot top use a lot of props so I guess he meant that she is the interviewer that has a lot of props.
How can you miss that Carrot Top reference? Poor, unskilled, and rude interviewer. He was being playful and sarcastic, but I guess she's too much of a dimwit to understand that. I hate crappy interviewers. :(
No he wasn't he was trying to set a fun anecdote about carrot top and she said he was horrible before he finished and so she felt insulted for no real reason and started being sassy and he just wasn't taking it
Awwww I felt so bad for him. You could see his hands shaking while doing the card trick... Like Sheesh.... Just because she thought Carrot top was an insult doesn't mean he meant it. The polite thing to do would have been to hash it out after the interview...
The reason the Carrot Top comment seemed so bad was because the woman said Carrot Top was horrible before Isenberg got out what he wanted to say. She handed Isenberg a deck of cards and the comment was to mean, she was like Carrot Top, because she brought her own props as Carrot Tops does. He only asked her if she knew who Carrot Top was, so he could make that comparison. When she gave her opinion about Carrot Top, instead of just saying she knew who he was, it made the initial meaning of what Isenberg was stressing sound as if he was now comparing the horribleness of Carrot Top with her interviewing skills, which was not the real meaning of what he was saying.

I really believe he was comparing her readiness with the cards to Carrots Top's ability to have a prop for every occasion :) at least that's where I thought he was heading
yeah I was thinking the same
Absolutely. I have never even watched carrot top, as I am not from the US, but I know he's known for prop based comedy. The interviewer just took it the wrong way.
In a meta way, she was his prop for comedy. inb4 "objectification"
the volume on this video is so fucking loooow. youtube videos that go Bad
philip jung you have a fucking bad earphones
philip jung thank you for your service
Jesse Eisenberg handled this very well.
Totally agree with you Dat Huy Richard Le!
It's set-up you dip shit
I didn't think that Jesse was rude after hearing it a second time. The interviewer just seemed to have something against him. I thought he was nice but he responded the way he did because of her behavior
I think she was trying to play it cool in a flirtatious way. I live in L.A. and I see girls do this all the time around celebrities. Act like they're too important to be impressed by them in hopes they will swoop them up, date them, and launch their acting careers.
Ok... He's convinced me to play Luthor...
Right?
jinx bitch
I thought that too, but I mean his performance in that trailer looked so forced. all he had to do was be himself but he ended up looking like a try hard. I hope he does better in the whole movie.
+Daniel Ross Granny's Peach Tea
+Daniel Ross Did you see the film yet?
i actually feel sad for her.
+Andru Gatti Exactly, thank u
+Abigale Kirsten But she is dumb
She rushed him. Said its his fault that she'd cry. Plus, considering how she acted, I wouldn't go as far to say she's "dumb" per say, but she didn't really give off an air of professionalism. And I don't mean in a casual laid back interview way, I mean the writing on the hand thing, the not remember the card she had, asking him about a card trick and then basically telling him to hurry up. Cmon now. What's with making Eisenberg seem like a villain? People are acting like he's throwing rocks at a puppy.
"are you thinking of your card"
"sure"
"thats not important, alright"
How is he the bad guy here? She was rude and even tried hurrying him up so she could get it over with.
When he asked her about carrot top, he was going to imply that she was like carrot top because she carries props, so she is like the carrot top of interviewing because... she came with a prop.
Hahah god that was so fucking lame. I mean just read this shit again! Lol.
She just didn't keep up with jesse's humor, so she got a little defensive
She wasn't even defensive though, she just rolled with it
Does she thinks bullying the man makes her attractive...? He is way too polite, she lacks manners so much she makes the whole interview cringy.
That's a lot of sexual tension between them
At a press junket, the celebrity stays seated and the reporters rotate in. That's what he meant by "You're on my time," meaning she's the one who only has a limited amount of time so he doesn't know why she said she wants to wrap it up (but she seemed to be implying she would go after the trick was over to incentive him to do it, but "wrap it up" makes it sound like he's lagging).
Oh yeah, she was just dripping wet for this skinny Lil geek. Lol
No she wasn't. You can't read body language very well.
No he wasn't, he couldn't stand her.
No sexual tension from neither side.
*****
If I was in her shoes I would be better prepared. And wouldn't take a few lighthearted jokes personally. The only people that can be empathetic towards her are lazy slackers that don't take their jobs seriously.
Well said, rousseau. If you can't do your job right maybe you belong in another field.
He could cut the interview and not trated her so bad.
Very unprofessional of her, I assume/hope shes not interviewing anyone anymore
clairecorc yeah you can see her Instagram Bio, she still put that “Carrot Top” on her Bio till now 2018
sounds to me like he picked her up at the hotel bar the night before.. This is the next day. The aftermath :p
Dean Lotter yeah it's look like that
From what I saw, and please feel free to disagree with me, if the interview went bad it wasn't due to anything the celebrity, in this case Jesse Eisenberg did. It's pretty obvious this so-called female interviewer wasn't prepared like she should have been. Writing things to say or ask on your hand prior to conducting an interview is tacky to say the least. I'm quite sure she had more than enough time to study and memorize the questions.
This guy did nothing wrong. Not sure why you guys are hating
+gilbert castro
White knights abound, that's why.
"he has ocd" I have OCD, it's not an excuse for deliberately tormenting someone because you're much more powerful than her.
Fuck off u fan dip shit
Jessie Eisenberg did nothing wrong, she was hiding something for the interview for which the actors have to do 40+ of in a day and he made a joke about her questions. She took it extremely personally and continued to interrupt him when he was actually complying with what she wanted, then she was rude.
Idk why anybody would defend him, he seems like a prick. A cold one at that. A cold, deflated prick, with a pasty, lumpy misshapen nutsack to match.
@@chubbyjubjub3593 my brother in christ that comment was six years ago
Omg! It was HER fault! Do you guys know who carrot top is? He brings out props to do comedy. She brought a PROP so he called her carrot top. Before he could tell her that though, she made a statement that carrot top sucks.
he was a asshole
ooeygoo23 HOW?!
She was not doing her job. Bad interview and it was her fault.
Mushrambo Supersayan well Terry crews is a nice guy so I don't think it's relevant
Carrot top because he always brings props... it wasn't meant as an insult.
"No dont cry now, cry after the interviews over" lmfao
He was just embarrassed that he had to promote such a terrible, terrible movie.
+Scott Gibbs Was it that bad?
Jonatan Zerom It's all personal preference but I absolutely hated it.
i thoughg it was good, are you disapointed with the concept or actors?
+Amelie Barre or something else?
Amelie Barre I just thought it failed in every category. I thought the story was ludicrous, and for such a huge collection of respected actors I thought the acting was really bad, too. I don't know, I just remember hating every minute of it.
He was referencing Carrot Top because she brought cards, as Carrot Top is a prop-based comedian, hence his comparison. It's as simple as that. The misunderstanding comes from her expressing her opinion of Carrot Top as being horrible just before he made the comparison.
He was just doing some slight teasing
I usually just play along, she took it the wrong way
this was the carrot top of videos.
I like the way that after she says "yeah horrible" he puts up his finger and goes, "well..." Excellent timing.
As we're talking about bad, this video's audio was horrible, guys ;)
tru
She isint being uptight, he was actually being rude.
I loved it.
***** She did suck :)
Do people not understand he was semi in-charachter?
Semi?
hes referring to a semi truck without its trailer.
Pepe Santomauro lol nice one man! Made my day haha!
I met him at the IU Cinema in Bloomington. Believe it or not, he's actually INCREDIBLY shy. He's obviously trying to be a character here and not himself.
+Austin Faulds He was obnoxious and shit as lex luthor. No need to be a dick when she's just doing her job and being nice
It's funny how these are called "celebrity freaks out", not "fan is being ridiculous", or "interviewer is immaculately stupid".
He was obviously doing his character from the movie...
Wait so she wasn't prepared for the interview....I would be angry if I showed up to a interview and the person didn't care enough to have at least prepared to interview me.
"Don't cry now, cry after the interview is over."
I don't really like him but that line is so SHARP even I got cut after hearing it, I'm impressed. Though I wasn't all that impressed with Now You See Me, it was so ludicrous.
Is this your card?
It's not important 😂
How humble of him to go to local school and give an interview to a schoolgirl.
Him:did you remember your card?
Her:sure
Him:that's not important 😂😂😂😂😂
This was almost like the scene in the beginning of the social network when he's arguing with Erica Albright 😂😂😂 Jesse is a legend!
Ok after this I don't care what anybody says, he IS LEX LUTHOR!
Really!? That's the guy you picture standing up to an alien with every power ever? That's the one?
Perfect Lex as this video proves.
767scarecrow I personaly thought kevin spacy made the perfect lex, also mark strong would of been great for the role
Indeed Mr Cat.
MrMiguel428012 im not going to judge anyone until I see the movie, its just hard right now to see him as a lex luthor, probably because I still see him as that guy from the social network, however I will not be able to judge until the movie is actually released
Seeing old comment is incredible you can see how the public’s opinion changed about this interview 😂 people were jerks to that poor girl before
"is this your card? Yea i dont think it matters" his sarcasm 😁
I can see why Zack Snyder casted him as Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2
i think it was that she was a poor interviewer, he was just trying to be funny and flirty and she took it the wrong way, if anything she was the one being cheeky
Do all brits have super-hearing? The volume of this video is negative 100db...I have my *Beats by Dre* headphones on with volume 100% + volume booster and can't hear shit...Mind you, I took a hearing test this year and have perfect hearing, so is anyone else having this problem?

I'm laughing repeatedly when it comes to my mind.
he's being an ass. Poor her man, she seems like a chill chick and she actually had the guts to fight back. "so we can wrap this up" HAHAH good for you. This actor was being condecending and using jokes to throw some low blows.
shut up!!!!
The girl was being an ass and unprofessional. Watch the full interview
She was the rude one. She didn't understand the joke he was trying to set up and got defensive and rude.
You're dense.
@@professorkush2567 I could say the same thing about you, *Smoking AK47??*
Professor Kush why? He was a setting up a joke about carrot top with her flash cards being like carrot tops props. Calling someone dense and leavings is just being a prick
It's because she brought cards people, and carrot top brings a lot of shit on stage, he was going somewhere else lol
I think that he is very quick with wit and wasn't being rude. I think the girl didn't understand that! And she said "lets rap this up!" How rude!
He said carrot top because she brought out cards and carrot top is a prop comedian cards can be considered props.
He was just being playful but she took it seriously...
She fucked this up the moment she said carrot top was awful, and said she'd cry. The guy was pretty cool about things
I think what he meant by carrot top is that she had those cards just in her pocket and doesn't carrot top use a lot of props so I guess he meant that she is the interviewer that has a lot of props.

yeah, all about that positivity, you dickwit

How can you miss that Carrot Top reference? Poor, unskilled, and rude interviewer. He was being playful and sarcastic, but I guess she's too much of a dimwit to understand that.
I hate crappy interviewers. :(
Was that interview real? Eisenberg was kind of being a jerk.
no
it was real, she write about it in her blog
DoubleFailMech yes, i don't remember the name of the blog but i read it
No he wasn't he was trying to set a fun anecdote about carrot top and she said he was horrible before he finished and so she felt insulted for no real reason and started being sassy and he just wasn't taking it
+DoubleFailMech Ever heard of Google? It's a amazing website!
Btw, she was a very horrible interviewer who tried to be clever and stand out but just came across as moody and stuck up.
I'm not entirely sure what was going on here, but that interviewer was ridiculously, outrageously BANGIN'
If you mute the sound the interview looks like it went really well 😂
HAHAHAHA he tried so hard to discourage her and she DRAGGED him. Hahahahaha. Thats amazing. This chick rules.
...You don't even understand what Jesse was trying to say, do you?
you are a fucking clueless idiot
Awwww I felt so bad for him. You could see his hands shaking while doing the card trick... Like Sheesh.... Just because she thought Carrot top was an insult doesn't mean he meant it. The polite thing to do would have been to hash it out after the interview...
lol the guy at 2:07 was just on Facebook lol
+The fate of all fools Thats LinkedIn?
She should have told him "my boyfriend is in the next room and I'd you to meet him". That would have shut up the little punk.+
He was trying to make a joke and she took it the wrong way
Obviously hired for her looks, and not her charisma and people skills, she was extremely hot though!

holy moly she is soooo hot.
But a terrible interviewer like how unprofessional can you get to have to write questions on your hand?
She works for a children/teen network show. If you want something serious watch 60mins or a Babara Walters interview which Eisenburg certainly hasn't earned the right to be interviewd by. This girl is probably only 14 years old and Eisenburg is totally out of line here. He must think he's the most cleaver man but in reality hes a freagin goof. There is a charming and playful way to let someone know they're unprepared and then there is this. In his head he probably thinks he's flirting with her. That's how out of touch this moron is.
bellaaneke i could write a whole paragraph on how wrong you are, but just seeing your comment "shes probably only 14 years old" basically makes nothing you say valid.

the carrot top comment was because she brought props to the interview
He called her the carrot top of interviewing because she had a prop which was the cards. Duh.

That chick reminds me of Natalie Portman
He tried flirting with a couple of bad jokes that weren't funny and she felt humiliated by them and that she was subsequently kicked while she was down with a couple of other snarky comments and the whole thing just spun out of control. It happens.
He wasn’t being insulting when he called her Carrot Top, he was saying it because she brought props
