Thank you JD for showing us how to remove the trim pieces. I saw your video #6 first, now I'm watching them in order. Your videos are very helpful for people that like to work on their own cars. I will be changing my headlights and I will watching your video #7 about the headlight removal. Take Care, Keep on making these videos.
Is removing this trim piece required in order to get the wheel liner out? I might need to remove the wheel liner on the front to hammer the pinch weld down some in order to clear bigger and wider tires when I get them.
Thanks for the video. I have a model y where the back bumper tip is sticking out right where the joint is meeting the trim. Any tip on how to fix that?
Is it feasible to wrap only the lower plastic trim (wheel archs, lower side panels, rear bumper plastic etc.), leaving the body color as-stock? I have a grey model Y, seems like a matte Carbon, black honey comb, forged carbon or camo carbon would look really cool to replace all the OEM plastic trim (excluding door/window trim). Plus it would prevent the need for protecting the plastics from UV fading over time. Thanks!
Very helpful videos. Do you have a video on how to fix the trim back? The half of my front trim came off and I'm unable to drive for few days with it hanging out
Just reverse the steps in JD's video. First, make sure you've got all the plastic pins inserted/held into the trim piece. Then, ensure the bottommost two ends of the pc of trim are inserted downward into their place in the car body. Then, just push on the trim at each pin point, to reinsert the pins into the car body. I have reinserted this trim a couple of times simply by ensuring that order of steps.
My rear bumper, the plastic part has a huge long scratch on it. Any ideas on how to polish or rub the scratch out? Not sure if that piece back piece is expensive. It's the big piece of plastic above the cut out for the hitch.

This is the Best Video I have seen in how to remove Tesla Side Flares. Keep making similar video's buddy.. Left you a 357th thumbs up.
Thanks for the video. It helped me figure out popping out that main pin, and also to have the confidence to pry out at the other pins. 👍
This was very helpful and saved me a trip to body shop. Thank you!
Glad to hear 🤙🏻
Thank you sir. Planning on painting these fenders soon, so this came in handy :)

The trim pieces you’re referring to are called the garnish
If you buy them from Tesla they call them belt seals… I guess it’s tomato tomato
Great videos, thanks for doing this!
Got a video on side camera removal?
No. Search “Tesla side camera removal”
My plastic trims are scratched up, didn’t notice it when I picked up the car back in Sept, only noticed it after a week passed while washing the car.
I would just buy new ones. Tesla takes very poor care of the cars before delivery

Just want I need to know, tx
I don’t understand why the plastic pieces can’t be wrapped 😥 thanks for this video!
It can be wrapped. I wrapped it on my model x, no problem at all. Gonna wrap it on my model y aswell.
@@jos8651 which wrap did you end up using?
@@vino2x497 On my TMX i wrapped with Hexis. Gonna try 3M on my TMY!
@@jos8651 how did the wrap hold up on the plastic trims?
@@vino2x497 I had it on the car for over 1 year. It held up really well! Look really good the day I took it off.. 😁
You look like Jimmi Simpson the actor
How much does it cost to replace this? Mine ripped where it holds the pin.
I think $50. You can buy direct from the service center
Tesla model x moulding
Do you have a video on putting them back ON?
