This would have never happened if "Greg Gibson the home plate umpire motioned to both players"
Oh my god... SOOO Funny!
And the Dodgers celebrating in their dugout
@@tman4445able Explanation: Dodgers are a money team and umpires protected them better. No doubt.
listen for the kid at 0:26. he's like, "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?"
Ikr
MaximusHandimus I was JUST about to post that.
lol
Ya!!! 😂😂😂
OMG YES
Whenever you see hit by pitch wars, it always seems to be the Pirates.
Dock Ellis would of showed them the meaning of getting even!
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!
Kinda easy to tell if it's intentional if the catcher isnt reaching for high outside
God im sick of these dam T-Mobile adds every fucking video, same one every dam video.
That music haunts me I've listened to that as so much
adblock ap for google chrome, its bliss
OMG YES!!!!😂😂
Google Chrome with ad block
I'm sick of these Bank of America ads
I see why pirates fans should get mad but the announcer was being biased because clearly Wright didn't do anything intentionally but Wilson didn't argue or show guilt as to why he was being thrown from the game
Jodus Barth Yeah they should've realized the pitch was a breaking ball. More than likely unintentional.
This all started in the 6th inning?
he didnt get thrown out because it wasnt a fastball.
+Killa Quack D Menace exactly lmao these pirates announcers talk like they know absolutely nothing about baseball... they might not who knows lol
exactly
+Killa Quack D Menace I don't care if it's a fastball or a knuckleball. You eject the guy after you ejected a Pirates pitcher. Pirates hit one guy and have a player ejected. Dodgers hit two guys and nothing. Obviously, you guys just hate the Pirates. Your opinions are meaningless.
The Pirates hitting the guy was clearly intentional, that's the difference. You're not ejected for accidentally hitting someone
if it was so intentional then why throw a weak curveball
I'm a Giants fan, and you can obviously tell that Wilson intentionally hit Turner. An Wright wasn't ejected because the pitch he threw was a breaking ball, obviously no intent. These bias umpires don't help at all, Aj Ellis obviously isn't telling Martin to "brace himself."
Damon watt exactly, if he did the umpire would've heard and the pitcher would've been ejected
announcers are right, wright should have been gone after the second
yep that is BS
Why? It was an off-speed pitch
It was a hanging curve ball that he could have easily gotten out of the way of, instead he just turned and leaned into it.
@@Rowgue51 yeah he should have ducked out of the way, so if the pitch had actually curved he couldn't try and swing.
The home plate umpire looks so suspicious when they close up on his face
0:26 me reacting to Huntington trading this man
It looks like Wright's pitch was an off speed pitch, and he looked frustrated that it happened. Didn't look intentional.
EroticNarwhal Doesn't matter. Clunk a star, expect a reaction.
This crowd sounds like a broken siren
honestly, when I play, and my teammates think I got hit on purpose, I make sure they know I don't want them to get them back. because they will just hit one of us again
lol where was that last pitch headed, the home-team dugout??
The second one was a curve
the last one looked like a curveball that just didn't curve. it wasn't a fastball, it was a slow curve, that doesn't hurt. if he was going to hit the guy on purpose he would want to do some damage
u think russell martin got the heads up from catcher?
you can here the kid say why would you do that
And that's how the season started for the Royals.. All of the Royals would get ejected. But no opposing teams players. The umpires are obviously favoring some teams. And it's a shame it has to happen to more teams.
The umpires didn’t call the second one because it was a curveball
Sure...
Wow
who's better in Baseball American League or National League
+Richard Piacquadio depends how you see it, AL most likely has better hitters but the NL is far more dominating from a pitching standpoint
that's an ump being paid off right there
If you watch wrights 2nd pitch in slow motion you can clearly see he drops his lead foot in line with martin rather then the home plate, im no pitching expert but to me that shows he was aiming for martin not a pitch over the plate.... plus the catcher never even attempts to go for the high ball, watch how the catchers react to the first 2 hit batter pitches... I guarantee he told martin to watch out and maybe even said something along the lines don't worry it wont be a fastball
depends on the pitcher. some pitchers come across their bodies when they pitch, meaning they step to the side, and throw across their body. watch Madison Bumgarner or Chris Sale. they pitch like that.
+Bryson Graves and Bumgarner beans everyone, Sale at least has control of his pitches to an extensive degree
No he doesn't it looks like it from the Angle we are looking at.
The home plate umpire must be a Dodgers fan
McClutchen has taken a lot of punishment over the past few seasons for the stupid unwritten baseball rules.
1:48 h2p
Yeah, the 3rd pitch was more intentional than the 2nd one.
the third total hit by pitch should have been an ejection
Man how many times has he been hi that year man
Worst umpire ever
Umps are lucky this didn't get outta control
they can't control it they guy hit 22 and Russell he don't get throw out the game
Let's face it. Umpire warnings are bullshit.
I know we have the luxury of watching these multiple times, but it sure seems to me like the first one was accidental, and the second and third sure as hell weren't. At the first one you see the catcher flinch slightly, and he immediately is up, mask off. The other two, the catcher shows no surprise at all...
1:15 looked like a curveball that got away. That wasn't on purpose with his team 2 runs down.
Looks like it bc the previous events in the game that's why they thought it was intentional
jonmolina948 if that curveball didn't break it would've been behind Martin... Wright played it smart though and knew if he threw a breaking ball he wouldn't be thrown out. Definitely intention though.
TheNotoriousJMC C'mon man, you don't scope someone with a 75mph curveball if your team is down two runs, it serves no purpose. It was a curveball that got away and Jamey Wright was upset about it from his expression.
jonmolina948 I've never seen a curveball get that far away from the plate in an MLB game.
TheNotoriousJMC that's because if it goes much farther away it's not really anything but a throw. Just got the happy medium
If you ejected the pirate pitcher you HAVE to eject Travis
The umpire likes the Dodgers, that's all.
That's dumb why is Wright not ejected when he hit his second guy
The second one was just a curveball that got away and was clearly not intentional
1:33 What's with the Van Slyke Pirates jersey?...
+senator93 Uhh... is that a trick question? Van Slyke was a Pittsburgh player after all, I don't see why he wouldn't have a jersey...
+Norwin82 I hope you're joking
+Botmon Teh Hero he played there for seven years, are you fucking dumb
+Botmon Teh Hero en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Van_Slyke
+Norwin82 sorry I didn't know, I was thinking of the dodger Scott van Slyke
Mcutchen makes a big deal out of getting hit
Do you know how many times McCutchen has been hit? Plus, if he was hit in the head with a ball that fast, it could be serious.
Don't talk shit about McCutchen if you can't even spell his name right.. ;)
Im not a fan of Pirates but he has been hit multiple time and never charged the mound to set the pitcher straight, much respect towards him
I mean he's pretty skinny.
That last one was on accident.
Since I'm just watching videos of random mlb and isn't at the ball game. If I was, I expect tense competition and professional athleticism, not garbage and trash
"LA stop choking on the playoffs".
don lee "in"
Wright hitting the first guy was probably an accident. However his second one was clearly intentional. Both teams threw intentional hits. The ump just got his feelings hurt because Hurdle yelled at him, so he purposely didn't eject Wright.
Exactly so.
I'm so glad the pirates hit the dodgers. Huge respect for cutch and the pirates
Pitcher hit a dodgers player at 97 mph gets tossed
Wait so the dodgers started it and don't get ejected? I'll never understand the "unwritten rules" of baseball
Its off intent. It depends on if its an intentional hit or not
At 0:24 the guy on the right looks like he's planning who he's going to kill or pick up in a white van first.
This is full of shit we hit one player they hit 2 we get ejected they don't this is FUCKED UP
The second pitch was a breaking ball that he lost c,ontrol of. If he wanted to injure a Pirate he would've thrown a fastball at their head
Awful announcers.
!w
everyone hates on the pirates lol I mean they sucked for how long n now that they r good all the haters come out. not talking about this clip buy even umpires hate the pirates lol its crazy. give them a brake. n no team has as much fun as the pirates, they r the funnest team to watch
I agree with ur opinion about the umps but hey I am a honest to god how hard pirates fan
Feels like half the videos on this channel are intentional HBP lol. The MLB players need to class up and stop acting like children. Sure a pitch is gonna slip away every once in a while but I'd say 99.9% of HBP are intentional
+Marshall Eriksen I really doubt that. Out of these three HBP probably only the second one is intentional.
+jannecechmanek Bullshit... the third one is clearly intentional
+Joshua Williams You're telling me a guy who can throw in the 90's hit a guy, intentionally, with a 75 mph curveball?
Pirates fans are so unsportsmanlike
Karie Miller You mean because they booed when their star got hit. They shouldn't be frolicking and cheering.
Mccutchen gets hit a lot
Karie Miller So are they suppose to cheer when a Pirates player gets hit? Get off youtube little girl.
+Karie Miller The Pirates lead the MLB in their players being hit by pitches. And a lot of those HBPs against their MVP McCutchen. Bucs fans have every right to be mad.
They're the only fans that get mad that they are trying to injure their star?
so biast to the Dodgers
STEELER NATION so what?
typical dodgers low class organization low class fan base.
