Btw the maximum efficiency for cooking tin bronze is 8 nuggets per 5 ingots. The batches that you make use more cassiterite than necessary. At your stage in the game you can be wasteful, but it would probably have been nice knowing that early on. Also, using peat on the pit kilns is faster, and you can put a floating block over them to prevent the weather from putting them out.
Just FYI there's a mod called "QP's chisel tools" that makes chiseling a lot less painful by adding planers and a tool that can copy and paste chisel designs. It doesn't impact gameplay at all but it might be good to use if you want to save some time doing a lot of chisel work later. Love the series!
my personal favorite long-term project I'm currently embarking on is making a set of meteoric iron plate armor - as the capstone of my existing sets of every other plate armor in the game. each full set takes 72 ingots and I just have them sitting in my trophy hall as decoration the steel set does see a little use during temporal storms, but the rest are purely a flex
Hey man I love watching your vintage story videos. They are so comfy and your base really does look cool af, makes me want to pick up the chisel and work on mine! I haven't enjoyed a let's play series like this in years
@21:12 pro tip: hitting the X key will swap whatever is selected in your hot bar with your offhand item, so you don't have to click and drag stuff around
There should be a way to prevent the spawns within a small area during temporal storms. That way, base defences would actually matter. As it is, it's super easy to lose control of your base when these guys just teleport in through closed doors. Anyway super satisfying to see the automation
Love this series! Btw I'm not sure if you found out or not but you can use the helve hammer to make metal plates and then heat the plates up and make chain for armour out of the plates. Kept me from going insane making my armour.
Something of note. You are a black guard, you get increased drops from mining. 25%! Every 4 blocks you break you get 1 extra peice. That can go a long way, the bombs are a great time saver but your not loosing 10%, you are loosing 35% of what you could be getting. Not that it matters all that much in the end with the way ore works in this game.
Loving the Vintage Story series so far and I get so excited every time I see that you've posted another episode. I haven't gotten the chance to play VS a lot yet due to needing to set up my new pc, but I can already tell I'm going to be a big nerd about building in it as well. Btw, I'm pretty sure you can mount the antlers to make some cool decorations, if you didn't know that already.
You can put a brake on the axel to stop the hammer, but keep in mind it stops everything attached to that axle. From the windmill to the hammer. And any windmills attached.
Well, it has been a good run, let's welcome now TimmyOneN1pple, because the other one was blasted off by mining bombs >XD Anyway, about caves. You *don't* go in caves without armor. You don't NEED iron or metal armor at all to go in them exploring, but any tier 2 armor, be it Leather or Linen is a must. (cue back to "i shouldn't have put off farming way back then" XD) And bring your chain set if you go through a new translocator or to some specially unstable/deep hole. Also, besides a mid-tier armor, I guess you either make a PLATE set, or get one of the special ones. Can't go much further in defense than where you are now, unless you maybe make a shield that isn't bronze. I can't remember if shields break.
You dont seem to be using mods, but I think with how much you love decor, you might enjoy my mod called Decor Bazaar! It would be so fun to see you decorate your manor with it :) (ps: you can put a block over your pit kilns! lmao it will shield them from the rain)
I'm not really sure that thats what happened there, from my experience in VS animals tend to take damage if they have been in water for to long and i believe that this happenend at the same time he shot it here
Why don't You put the big wheel above and axles also so they come from above to particular work space, that way they are above head and not at ankes height.
i still cant stand that the animation sounds dont match the acutal animations and i hope the devs change the sounds so they actually match soon (oh and amazing ep like always)
Best vintage story youtuber ive seen, never give up
I just got a jumpscare thinking you were Trey The Explainer at first
+1
@@justdark863 3rd time this happened, i realy need to change my profile picture😅
Thank you so much! I'll keep em' coming! :)
The industrialization has arrived! The great mechanization shall be our saviour! Keep it up, Timmathew! 🎉
Thank you! I will push ever forward in the name of progress!
The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
Watch out for bears IN trees. They can and do climb to high branches or tops of trees for ambushes. lol
You talkin" bout dem Drop Bears?
I'm so scared right now 🥲 very good to know though lmao
Crouching with shield increases its chance to mitigate the damage.
Interesting! I always wondered if that was the case do to the animation, I'll work on remembering that! :)
"I can have a little meteoric iron as a treat." Killer.
That treat was so worth it!
That feeling of accomplishment when a big milestone is hit is so sweet. Congrats on the helve hammer.
It does feel amazing!! It's made processing ores SO much easier, I'm very excited :)

you can also use coal or charcoal on a pit kiln to make it even faster than using peat

I've put it on my mod list! :) thank you so much for watching, glad you enjoy! :)
There is something super super comfortable about this and also I'm learning how to play if I get into it
@@Dark__Thoughts I'm also don't play that game so
Glad you're enjoying it! Definitely an amazing game to learn, every new mechanic is exciting :)

I definitely left my one meteoric iron pickaxe on one hit point so I could display it as a flex lmao

Glad you're enjoying it! Definitely recommend hopping back in :)
Probably the best and most successful vintage story
Play through I’ve ever seen
Thankya!! :)
@21:12 pro tip: hitting the X key will swap whatever is selected in your hot bar with your offhand item, so you don't have to click and drag stuff around
You should make a roof one block above pit kilns
Literally wasted like 6 days in my newest episode waiting for the rain to stop when I could have done this 😭 lmao
7:45 Whoa, this game has forge welding? I'm new and it continues to impress with the amount of detail
It's very detailed! :)
That's sad about the sheep. It's almost like you need to build a storm arena to weather out the storms.....
Nah I need to build a sheep arena so they fight for me 😈⚔️🐏

I sadly lost my forge and smelting footage between my newest episode and last one but I did indeed learn about the plates! Super useful! :)

I aleady to can tell i will be a nerd about it! I just need to buy it and convice some of my friends to play to game so i can buy it them to!
So glad you're enjoying!! The antlers are in my upstairs room in the manor (it doesn't have a roof yet so I haven't showed it off much lol)
I'm definitely interested in seeing the difference of a multiplayer vs single player playthrough
@@TimmyTwoNipples so you may will invite some other ytbers or so to play this game and meaby teach them?
X key to switch items from offhand to quick bar and back.
I've been using this but my inventory is always full, I have a problem lol
@@TimmyTwoNipples You can switch items like torch and hammer, for example.
You can put a brake on the axel to stop the hammer, but keep in mind it stops everything attached to that axle. From the windmill to the hammer. And any windmills attached.
Instead of a break, use a clutch
Meteoric Hammers are the ultimate statement imo
I'm going to hang a single meteoric hammer over my fireplace, just to flex
Honestly Really enjoying your VS videos.
Much appreciated! :)
You can put a block of packed dirt one above the pit kiln to cover it from rain.
Omg the bear scared the crap out of me😂
as a tip, the hotkey for putting something in your offhand is x
When making a plate or something flat with a large area in the Smith options there's a smash flat option so you don't have to move a single voxel
I've been using this to speed up lantern making + the occasional armour repair! very useful :)
Your build is coming along nicely!
Thank you so much! I just keeping adding to it, hopefully I'll finish up the Manor before year 3 lol
Slowly but surely! If I had more time i'd probably pikc the gam up, but adulting eats up a lot of time.
You play much HD2 yet?@@TimmyTwoNipples

Always love your Vintage Story videos!
Thank you so much! :)
I would really like to see a dedicated tour of your whole base if you find the the time to do one between making it even more awesome
I'm hoping to have the upstairs of my Manor done in the 3rd winter so hopefully I can do a full walkthrough soon! :)
@@TimmyTwoNipples Nice, stoked to hear that!

I'll start a list of mods! And I may have waited upwards of 6 days to light a kiln due to the spring rain in my new episode lol
Love these videos man! cant wait to see more
Thank you for the nice comments :) More is here!
Wearing armor decreases ranged weapon accuracy, in case you were wondering why your spear flew so wildly!
You know, we only switched from bronze to iron because iron is easier to find than tin! Bronze and iron are about the same when it comes to tool!
Man, that's the wrong toggle! lol
But but but it says toggle 😭 (refuses to read into anything)
I wonder if there is a way to intentionally set up a bunch of floating arrows...
That's exactly what I was thinking, some way to have two sources of water flowing at each other to make a floating arrow deathtrap lol
I'm not really sure that thats what happened there, from my experience in VS animals tend to take damage if they have been in water for to long and i believe that this happenend at the same time he shot it here

You've probably figured it out since, but throwing spears gets a lot more accurate if you stop moving. XD

They have in 1.19.3 but it made minning slower
charcoal burns quicker in pit kilns
How do you keep finding ore with no prospecting??
I've got the yearn for the mines mentality!
it pisses me off that these videos end >:(
Same :( I'll keep em coming though!

Whoa that sounds pretty advanced!

How to download
You can get it from the Vintage Story website or from Humble Bundle :)
your spears are so inaccurate because of your class
