For anyone trying to do this if you run into "mask export not supported in this version" you can grab version "3.34.5 Prizren LTR" and it will work (at least it didn't throw any errors, haven't made a map yet)

where are you getting the config, layers, maplegend, and so on from? I have seen the link to github but can't download them. I paste them into Notepad++ but Terrain Builder doesn't like them when I try to add via Properties. Any ideas?
these files are in the git repository which is the first link on description. You gotta hit the button "Clone" then download with one of the options there.

the p:\ is just a clone of another drive... any files you have on the p:\ drive are an exact copy of an exsisting drive. If you can, I recommend to add another empty Hard Drive to keep things simple....
Hi. Im stuck on a section when selecting a country. When i click on mark area, it only gives a small section of an area. Is there a way to increase the mark area to select an entire country?

You have to make sure you are signed up and logged into the .gov website first (mentioned in the lower right information feed in QGIS. Once completed you can load up the imagery., or just copy the link and "save as"....

Zoom level set too high.... or missing data... you can add the zoom plugin to Qgis and in the bottom left hand corner, when you zoom in with middile mouse wheel, it gives you the zoom level.... for example. zoom level 7, 8 you can see the whole of the UK. Zoom level 19 is street level, but you will need another map file to use as the gtt_satmap (just rename any layer gtt_satmap and remove the standard one) 17 is the best I could do with google maps.... I loaded a seemless photo layer and zoomed to 19 to use as my gtt_satmap file...
Ok so it's calling for a p:\ directory that does not even exist... "p:\DZ\surfaces\data\terrain\cp_conifer_moss2.rvmat" I unpacked my game data before assigning a P drive a few weeks ago, is this the cause of the issue?
So this issue is due to NOT setting my PATH TO THE PROJECT DRIVE properly in Dayz Tools Settings. I assigned p drive letter but did not change the actual path. It's almost always something so simple and overlooked..

If i try to export a satmap of 225000 meters with tiling, it would take 100 days with a 8 core ryzen and 16gb of ram. Could i speed up the exporting with a server with 2 xeon cpus and a lot of ram? Or why does it takes so long? Please help me :)
yet another convoluted tutorial ... sigh, for instance, he tells that you need to have a "P drive" set up ... yet there is no information on how to set up a functioning P drive, not to mention, it looks like quite a bit of data is in his P-drive ... it looks like this P-drive is pre-setup prior to running QGIS, sooooo, is someone following this tutorial able to complete it, knowing he doesn't have a O-drive nor the Data within ... also, I don't understand why, but he is giving instructions as to what data to put in concerning cell size etc but there is no explanation as to why we are setting it to these particular numbers ... and like many other tutorials, they are accompanied by questions in the comments section that remain unanswered, also, like other tutorials I've stumbled upon, he notes in a reply that this is "outdated" and that he will make another video, though, much like instances like this occurring on other youtube tutorials, there is no sign of an update of any sort, they just give up on it and there is nothing else ever shared that concerns a tutorial, and like, don't get me wrong, I like that people go out of their way to help others, but why start if you're not going to finish, why begin helping people with a tutorial if the tutorial itself is missing important instances and data entries? that, I just can't understand ... and unfortunately, it can be said for most if not all DayZ terrain/map building tutorials online, they are all almost identical when it comes to being convoluted and just not finished. Had the same problem. If you use version 3.34 of qgis with the latest gtt plugin you might get away with ignoring errors. Or what you can do is download version 3.28 of qgis and version 1.0.0 of gtt.

The moment I click on "Mark Area" I get a python error message at the top and nothing happens, any idea why?
I think is because there are 2 types of photographies or more in the map selection and one of them is blurred

I do everything based on the video, but the terrain builder does not create a wrp file with my map name for me. Any info for anyone?

Found the sollution, forget to set the resolution to 2048 under heightmap, mine was set to 1px

Everytime i try to upload satmap its corrupted, i try and try again and keep getting the same thing

Its trying to read your source folder. I put it on my desktop while i packed and then put it back where it was. Worked.
