*HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, some examples are: Rosé, the girl with silver hair in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus. One day while she was out gathering flowers, Hades, God of the Underworld, abducted her and dragged her down to the Underworld where she was forced to become his wife. The video shows her in her beautiful image, surrounded by flowers, as well as how she became, dirty and grey, staring up at the world through a hole in the Underworld. She was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is why we have Spring and Summer. Jennie, in the burgundy dress, is surrounded by dancers, they cover her face with their hands, resembling spiders. The next scene shows Jisoo in a red dress, the chair that she is seated on is spider-like in its design. The winged statue in the temple represents Nike, Goddess of Victory. The Trojan Horses at the end are a message from BLACKPINK to the world. They symbolize the fact that BLACKPINK, like the Greeks, will emerge and take over the global music world. If you look at the last scene you will notice that on the inside of the dome it looks like there's an organic growth over parts of the ceiling. It's actually a map of the world that the group is going to dominate!
@@tluangitluangi3703 Actually the priest reacted to it on July 6th, 2020. By that time the Greek mythology references were widely known, although I added the spider references from a different video breakdown.

Lisa - Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Rose - Born in Auckland, New Zealand, and Raised in Melbourne, Australia. Jennie - Born in South Korea, Grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, and then moved back to South Korea. Jisoo - Born and raised in South Korea.
I definitely suggest the next BP reaction is "Kill This Love" and "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du"! They are some of their bigger songs that put them on a lot of people's radars.
BLACKPINK have 4 members, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo. All 4 of them can sing, dance, play instruments, and write their songs. Jennie and Lisa (the one with the bangs) are also rappers. Rosé is a Korean born in New Zealand, but live in Australia. Jennie is a Korean born in South Korea, but live in New Zealand. Jisoo is the only Korean member who grew up in South Korea. Lisa is Thai. Now, all of them live together in South Korea. You can't see their full dance choreography in their music videos, but you can see it in their dance practice videos and live performances. Lisa is also the best dancer among them. She also release her own dance videos on her own RUclips channel, Lilifilm Official. She also did live solo dance performances. She is also an awesome strict and lovable dance mentor. Jennie also recently start her own RUclips channel, Jennierubyjane Official, where she will upload her own videos and do cover songs. Rosé also have her own RUclips channel, ROSÉ Official, where she upload her own vlog videos. BLACKPINK have been breaking records after records ever since their debut in 2016. The crazy thing is that they released only singles and mini-albums (1-4 songs each) until October 2, 2020 when they released their first full album, THE ALBUM. By the time they release THE ALBUM, they already have 3 music videos (4 music videos now) with more than a billion views. With THE ALBUM, they have a total of about 23 songs. THE ALBUM was ranked #1 on Gaon (Korean music chart like Billboard), #2 on Billboard 200, Billboard World Album Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Album Sale, #1 and Top 10 in many countries such as UK, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and China. Lovesick Girls, the title track for THE ALBUM, was ranked #2 on US Billboard 200, #1 on Billboard Global Excl. US, #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sale, #1 and top 10 in many countries such as Malaysia, China, and Singapore. How You Like That, their pre-release single for THE ALBUM, set 5 Guinness World Records. They even got their 3rd PAK (Perfect All Kill) with it. PAK is a term referring to a song that was rank #1 on all of Korean music charts. BLACKPINK officially become the first girl group ever to be ranked #1 on Billboard Artists 100 and #1 on Bloomberg. They already performed at the Coachella in 2019 and their live performance are the highlight performance at that time. They are also currently the most subscribed music group on RUclips with more than 61 million subscribers. They are also the most followed female music group on Spotify, surpassing Little Mix in 2019. You can learn more about them from their Netflix documentary, BLACKPINK Light Up The Sky. BLACKPINK was recently praised by the Korean president Moon Jaein for their worldwide accomplishments in 2020. They currently planning to release solo albums for each members in 2021 after doing their online concert, The Show. No, they are not disbanding. This is their plan for 2021. Please, react to BLACKPINK Boombayah and Whistle. These 2 songs are their debut songs released in 2016. While Boombayah is a bigger international hit, they got their first PAK with Whistle, thus making them the first and only Korean girl group to achieve this feat with a debut song. Make sure to turn on the caption to see the English subtitle. 😎🙏
@@giftymartin2063 I would recommend you to listen to their Crazy Over You and Love To Hate Me songs. There are no music videos for these songs, but there are color coded videos on RUclips that show the English lyric with audio song track. Both of these songs are in full English. 😃
Some basic BLACKPINK Info: This video broke the RUclips record for most views in 24 hour with 86.3 MILLION (record later broken by a Kpop boy group). They have a great Netflix documentary BLACKPINK LIGHT UP THE SKY that goes over their long trainee periods (4-6 yrs each) competing with other girls to debut to their iconic performances at Coachella in 2019 to working on album. BLACKPINK is a 4 member South Korean girl group debuted August 8, 2016 now have 2nd most subscribed RUclips channel for a music act at almost 62 million, only 2 million behind J.Bieber who they'll surpass later this year whenever they drop a new mini album. Their 8 song first full album titled THE ALBUM last year hit #2 on Billboard hot 200 album charts. Lead Rapper Lisa (1997) youngest member is Thai, speaks 5 languages 3 fluently Thai Korean English, some Japanese basic Mandarin Chinese, is arguably the best female dancer in Kpop has popular Lilifilm dances 1-4 and more cinematic short The Movie all cover dances mostly American songs, choreographed by Cheshir Ha. Celine and Bulgari brand ambassador. Most popular girl group idol member worldwide, less in Korea partly because she's the only non-Korean in group. Kpop queen of Instagram over 50 million followers. Main singer Rose' (pronounced like the wine Rho zay) born New Zealand moved to Australian native English speaker, Korean fluent, some Japanese, purplish silvery hair here. Plays piano and guitar. YSL and Tiffany brand ambassador. Recently released 2 song solo which debuted #1 on Billboard global singles chart. MV had something like 42 million views in 24hrs. Jennie red dress two toned hair is also a rapper, the main one technically though Lisa raps more in recent years. Probably most popular girl group member within Korea, always high on monthly brand recognition ranking for popularity. Chanel brand ambassador, many other ads. Acts bada** onstage actually softie offstage. Lived in New Zealand for school 5 years, near native English skills. Jisoo (prounounced like Gee Sue) oldest member is lead (#2) vocalist of group, oldest member, Korean native, only one not fluent in English has accent, but understands a lot. Considered one of top visuals in Kpop by Korean beauty standards. 4D goofball personality on variety show appearances and in their reality shows on RUclips channel like their 100 day filmed (working) vacation BLACKPINK House. Dior brand ambassador. They all have deals with luxury brands because they are the biggest girl group in the world. They've collaborated on songs with Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Cardi B. They're just getting started... Also great in concert with a full live band see Coachella performances. I flew to a concert in 2019 US leg of successful world tour because they weren't exactly 'in my area' and yeah it was worth it. Their livestream concert in January was great too. What to watch next? Music videos for Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, etc. Pretty Savage appearances= James Corden or the one on their official RUclips channel. Many more videos Rose' On The Ground, Rose' Gone, Jennie Solo, etc. I have multiple BLACKPINK videos playlists on my channel but it'd be overwhelming for beginner to know where to start, but I linked 2 playlists in a previous post. Other BLINKs (fans) will likely suggest videos to you. Avoid reacting to clips from their Jan 2021 livestream concert THE SHOW on RUclips because copyright infringement issues, but definitely worth seeing after you've caught up with discography since live versions have a great live band and are often rearranged for impact. They have some Coachella performances on the BLACKPINK official RUclips channel. As a BLINK since early 2017 when I got back into Kpop & they only had 4 songs, this is basic info, I could probably write a short book here but it'd be TLDR. I've seen a lot more BP content than my 2nd fave fromis_9 or any other group I really love. I've probably missed some v lives and have only seen the official RUclips clips not entire episodes of things like Running Man, Amazing Saturday, that cooking show Jisoo went on. I have seen the Knowing Bros episodes (original not the versions Netflix altered the music), Weekly Idol, Idol Room. Added 2 of my BP playlist links just now. I've made lots of Kpop and movie trailer playlists on my channel, which I made so I wouldn't have to keep messaging individual Kpop or movie suggesting lists to friends. @Leonidas Neves I've only recently started commenting with these 'little' info messages.
I’d start at the beginning. They debuted in 2016 with “Boombayah” and “Whistle”. They have 3 videos which have each surpassed 1 billion views: “Boombayah”, “Ddu-du Ddu-du”, and “Kill this Love”. Blackpink, more than even most Kpop groups, love to switch it up mid song - bouncing between different instrumentation and genres seemingly at will.
Yes you missed a lot. All their videos are filled with metaphors and symbolism. This one has a ton of Greek mythology, It's also crucial that you read and understand the lyrics, they go hand in hand. They don't have colors or stuff just for shits and giggles as most of our western mvs do. Everything has purpose and meaning. As for the Trojan horses go, you can say that they're here to conquer. There is a huge sculpture of the world map on the background as well as their army of dancers that pop up out nowhere. They're here to take over the world, it's BLACKPINK in your area after all.😉😉😉
this was literally me a few months back listening to blackpink for the first time lol I had never listened to K-Pop and was so used to western artists and music, on top of that I am someone who likes slower songs and I am used to more mellow kind of music. When I listened to blackpink for the first time I was literally bursting at the seams because I was so overstimulated and didn't know how to wrap my head around it. I am a huge fan now and I have listened to them so much since then that I am way more used to it now and don't get as overwhelmed but those first few times listening were quite the experience lol
No one asked but Lisa is global ambassador of celine, bvlgari and mac cosmetic and 1 of prada's ambassador Jennie is house ambassador of chanel Jisoo is global ambassador of dior beauty and fashion Rosé is global ambassador of yves saint laurent and tiffany&co

Watching chronologically makes sense. Their debut stuff from August 2016 was already really good, but they've had considerable growth since, so checking the release date on the stuff you comment on will give you a better appreciation of their journey and where each piece fits into the larger puzzle of their work.
Your reaction was pretty much me the first time I heard them..and it was me watching this video. 😂 I was confused, intrigued, and by the end...COMPLETELY OBSSESSED!! Now you have to check out their video to Ddu-Ddu Ddu-Du...and then the video of the live performance of the remix to that song at Tokyo Dome. Both are excellent!
K pop is like a super genre. It's an incredibly creative mashup and pastiche of different genres, constantly keeping you guessing. And this song is especially a BANGER.
The average is 5 years for the time they spend as Trainees at YG Entertainment. 3 entered at 16 yo, 1 was 14 yo. Schedule was 12 hour days with 1 day off every other week. Every month they had to perform a solo, duet, and a group song plus a dance routine, for evaluation. They chose the song did the arrangement and sometimes added lyrics. The MV "Sure Thing" is a song one of their evaluation songs that they performed on Korean TV just after their debut. MV's for you: Whistle and Boombya are their debut MV's DDU-DU DDU-DU their top MV be sure to check the views How You Like That? Within the first 24 hrs it had 86.3 million views and fastest to 100 million, 200 million and 500 million views. Currently over 880,000 views. Have fun, next How about all female Japanese Rock/Metal bands??
In the last scene, look at the roof of the dome, it's the world map. As they are dressed in modern hanbok (hanbok is a traditional korean outfit), i think the trojan horse represents blackpink and the Korean culture invading the word. Obs: Sorry about the english, not my first language
Blackpink is really awesome coz their songs and mvs are extra ordinarily beautiful and pretty bad ass.yet you will get hooked to it.thanks to teddy park .check out kill this love and pretty savage and the rest of their songs and you'll see why.

Your brain exploding is my favorite reaction to them so far... ahaha! Yup! This is why they are taking over the world... They have the perfect formula!
What you have done is perfectly digest BLACKPINKS impeccable branding. From conception the point is for their songs/images to be contradictory yet complimentary within themselves. They aren't called BLACKPINK for nothing.
i would enjoy if you would watch from the beginning of their career and work your way up to see how they grow as a group! their debut song is Boombayah it has an MV
-𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, 7:46 - BLACKPINK 'How You Like That,' one that catches our attention might be the ending phrase before the break dance part. The line reads, "Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane." Don't worry! You are not alone if you had no idea about what it means😁. It turned out that the line is a popular phrase coming from the DC Comic's Superman series and it's Superman 1966 musical . - It seems like BLACKPINK wants to claim themselves as powerful as Superman in the music industry. On top of that, the phrase is even more special for BLACKPINK because it has the same starting words as the group's initial - It's a B, It's a P. - BLINKs are all excited to discover how BLACKPINK has always put powerful messages in their music. !!
If you like this, check their other songs, "Ddu du ddu du", and "kill this love", and yes the visual has meaning too, blackpink kind a famous for this too, if you want to start from the beginning 1. Boombayah 2. Whistle 3. Playing with fire 4. Stay 5. As if it's your last 6. Ddu du ddu du 7. Kill this love 8. And also their album, title "The Album"
it does have a meaning, something of the genre, the world will appreciate the music, dance, videos and their beauty (just like what happened in Troia, when they received the horse they admired the sculpture) and when you know it, you're already conquered.
You need to know ! :) Blackpink is a 4 member group consisting of a main vocalist, lead vocalist, main rapper and a lead rapper. They are under YG entertainment, the same company who brought us Gangnam Style. Their producer, Teddy Park is genius behind Blackpink's music. The fandom name are called BLINKS Main vocalist Rosé, her vocals are amazing. She was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. She currently has 2 solo songs, Gone and On The Ground (recommend checking those out). Lead Vocalist Jisoo is the oldest member, such a sweetheart, her vocals are powerful and she is able to keep up with fellow member Jennie's fast raps, she is the only member born AND raised in South Korea. She's also an actress. Main Rapper Jennie (my bias), is born in South Korea but grew up in New Zealand. She has one of the fastest and fiercest rapping in K-pop, her vocals are also very powerful. She also has a solo song called "Solo" (recommend checking that out as well). Last but not least we have Lisa, the lead rapper, sub vocalist and main dancer. She is from Thailand, her rapping is more "swag" and cool compared to Jennie's. She is the youngest member, she is savage when she is performing or when she is mentoring for dancing but outside of that she is just a cutie. Recommended songs to check out: • DDU-DU DDU-DU (and Tokyo dome remix) • How you like that •Pretty Savage (the album version, contains more cursing and savageness) • Whistle • Boombayah • Forever young • Ice Cream (ft. Selena Gomez) • Bet you wanna (ft. Cardi B) • Kill this love • Love to hate me • Crazy over you These ones are some of their calm and emotional music: • Stay • You never know Rosé solos: • On the ground • Gone Jennie solos: • Solo Their are Japanese versions, the rap verses are in english: • Boombayah Jp Ver. • Whistle Jp Ver. • Stay Jp Ver. KPOP is fascinating. One of the big differences than western artists is that these artists start out as trainees and take years of schooling. A huge part is they study world music of all genres and eras. It's always interesting to see a young Korean performer talking about admiring the music of Frank Sinatra and Outkast and Britney Spears, you get a sense of why the multi-genre format works and doesn't seem forced.
Love Blackpink! They have so many epic songs and videos. Quick suggestion - if you like what you're seeing, you should check out Dreamcatcher (Boca, Scream or No More). AleXa is also pretty cool and her videos are insane (watch Bomb followed by Do or Die)!
For what it's worth, this is part of the greek story arc that started with As If It's Your Last, then went to DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kill This Love, and then ended with How You Like That. There's a lot going on here but you're seeing references in this video to Persephone, Demeter, Hades, and Nike, along with the Trojan horses in this one.
Blackpink has not so many songs (lol) but each song is precious in some ways. My personal faves are: whistle, playing with fire, lovesick girls, see you later, really, and pretty savage. Also check their live performance, specially the coachella and the James Corden's Pretty Savage stage. For the last one, better listen to the song in the album first then the performance so you could appreciate how amazing the live arrangements :) Welcome to Kpop~
- 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁, BLACKPINK song lyrics always speak Facts and also Bars..their lyrics is super meaningful, that's why ya'll need to always open the subtitles 😎👏 *

I don’t have a particular favorite, but things I listen to for different moods, music is so moving to me in general, that I use it emotionally. I would like to know your opinion. I think you will be surprised. Diana has a very unusual voice and artistic presentation for her age.🌹🌹🌹 Thanks in advance
As a quick introduction, Blackpink's songs have concepts that goes from the Black concept (strong and sassy attitude, trap sound and hip hop based like Kill This Love, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Pretty Savage) to the Pink concept (more popish and happy songs, like Whistle, Ice Cream feat Selena Gomez, Boombayah, As If It's Your Last). I think you're gonna like more the Black side, so I suggest you start from there, so you can get a feeling of them being fierce and then going to their cute side. Then that will blow your mind hahaha
let's just forget Kpop for a while and solely focus on Blackpink alone. Once you first hearing Blackpink, then you will have to ask yourself whether it is your cup of tea or not. if so, then you should dive into Blackpink's world and find out why they are currently the biggest girl group in the world. it will take you a few more MV of theirs to know a bit more about the girls. eventually you keep on hearing/watching/reacting to their music up to a point that you will also be interested in watching any other related videos made by fan (Blink, their fandom name) in order to fully understand who are Blackpink and blah blah blah. one thing that is quite important for any newbies of Kpop is to keep an open mind and get over the language barrier (hey, google is always at your fingertips if you wanna know more about Kpop or Blackpink) when listening to Kpop. always remember Kpop is just another pop music that may be a bit different from western pop music but pop music is pop music, Kpop is no different but sung in Korean. BTW nice reaction and surely viewers will come if you do more.
this is actually a song for their haters tryin to bring them down 😩😩😩 “ you should have ended me when you had the chance “ was their words to the haters 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Everything that goes into their M/V's is there for a reason (or symbolism). Take for example, at the end of this M/V there's 2 Trojan horses and on the Dome it has a depiction of the world (earth). BlackPink is the Revolution

*HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, some examples are:
Rosé, the girl with silver hair in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus.
Well done! :)

Nice one, I have to go an listen to them
@@giftymartin2063 I would recommend you to listen to their Crazy Over You and Love To Hate Me songs. There are no music videos for these songs, but there are color coded videos on RUclips that show the English lyric with audio song track. Both of these songs are in full English. 😃
@@VyHuynh202177 ok I am just gonna listen to it now and react to it
Try to watch their debut songs first called "Boombayah" and "Whistle"

This girl band is the best I've seen in Kpop. They got me so hooked with their music contents. It is a very beautiful journey!
Rapper in the blackpink she name is Lisa ( girl is bang ). She have 1st solo on Sep 10, 2021
Some basic BLACKPINK Info:
This video broke the RUclips record for most views in 24 hour with 86.3 MILLION (record later broken by a Kpop boy group).
Music videos for
Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, etc.

Super basic lolᥬ😂᭄
Blackpink made you speechless and that'll be the day you feel like a BLINK! 💗
They have four mv's that reached 1B,
Boombayah, As if it's your last, 4D and Kill this love.
@@mas_uplok_ka forgot that AIIYL got there, too!
...I think we've just witnessed the birth of a new BLINK (BLACKPINK fan). Welcome to the addiction bro, it's gonna be a fun ride!
I love ppl having a breakdown...specially new ones in the fandom😏
Yes you missed a lot. All their videos are filled with metaphors and symbolism. This one has a ton of Greek mythology, It's also crucial that you read and understand the lyrics, they go hand in hand. They don't have colors or stuff just for shits and giggles as most of our western mvs do. Everything has purpose and meaning.
As for the Trojan horses go, you can say that they're here to conquer. There is a huge sculpture of the world map on the background as well as their army of dancers that pop up out nowhere. They're here to take over the world, it's BLACKPINK in your area after all.😉😉😉
Finally ..many people didn't know about this..
Aaaaanndd....I'm too lazy to say this to people..ty😂😂

I would really love to hear more about these colors. Any explanation or link maybe?

blackpink and symbolism dont really go hand in hand ngl
this was literally me a few months back listening to blackpink for the first time lol I had never listened to K-Pop and was so used to western artists and music, on top of that I am someone who likes slower songs and I am used to more mellow kind of music. When I listened to blackpink for the first time I was literally bursting at the seams because I was so overstimulated and didn't know how to wrap my head around it. I am a huge fan now and I have listened to them so much since then that I am way more used to it now and don't get as overwhelmed but those first few times listening were quite the experience lol
thas literally me
Blackpink are insanely good istg

Kill this love - Blackpink
Watching chronologically makes sense. Their debut stuff from August 2016 was already really good, but they've had considerable growth since, so checking the release date on the stuff you comment on will give you a better appreciation of their journey and where each piece fits into the larger puzzle of their work.
Blackpink in your area ~~~
Blackpink is the revolution ~~
Your reaction was pretty much me the first time I heard them..and it was me watching this video. 😂 I was confused, intrigued, and by the end...COMPLETELY OBSSESSED!! Now you have to check out their video to Ddu-Ddu Ddu-Du...and then the video of the live performance of the remix to that song at Tokyo Dome. Both are excellent!
K pop is like a super genre. It's an incredibly creative mashup and pastiche of different genres, constantly keeping you guessing. And this song is especially a BANGER.
Fun fact they don’t use green screen and you can check their MV making video
Like your reaction ! Thanks for your reaction ..let's get more to Blackpink journey ..😎
MV's for you:
Whistle and Boombya are their debut MV's
DDU-DU DDU-DU their top MV be sure to check the views
How You Like That? Within the first 24 hrs it had 86.3 million views and fastest to 100 million, 200 million and 500 million views. Currently over 880,000 views.
Have fun, next How about all female Japanese Rock/Metal bands??
In the last scene, look at the roof of the dome, it's the world map. As they are dressed in modern hanbok (hanbok is a traditional korean outfit), i think the trojan horse represents blackpink and the Korean culture invading the word.
Obs: Sorry about the english, not my first language
Kill this love and Lovesick girls

Your brain exploding is my favorite reaction to them so far... ahaha! Yup! This is why they are taking over the world... They have the perfect formula!
What you have done is perfectly digest BLACKPINKS impeccable branding. From conception the point is for their songs/images to be contradictory yet complimentary within themselves. They aren't called BLACKPINK for nothing.
Thank you for your reaction to Blackpink. This girlgroup is my most fav.

U should react to all BLACKPINK'S songs. They all r amazing. Even the B side songs are great. Btw lots of love from Pakistan

That’s why KPOP is on top. It’s not just about the music but the visuals as well. Now you know why they are dominating the music industry nowadays 🤣

BLACKPINK 'How You Like That,' one that catches our attention might be the ending phrase before the break dance part. The line reads, "Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane." Don't worry! You are not alone if you had no idea about what it means😁. It turned out that the line is a popular phrase coming from the DC Comic's Superman series and it's Superman 1966 musical .
-
It seems like BLACKPINK wants to claim themselves as powerful as Superman in the music industry. On top of that, the phrase is even more special for BLACKPINK because it has the same starting words as the group's initial - It's a B, It's a P.
-
BLINKs are all excited to discover how BLACKPINK has always put powerful messages in their music. !!
If you like this, check their other songs, "Ddu du ddu du", and "kill this love", and yes the visual has meaning too, blackpink kind a famous for this too, if you want to start from the beginning

2. Whistle
3. Playing with fire

Lisa is amazing rapping!!!
This has to be my favorite reaction 🥰🥰 that’s exactly how I felt when my daughter introduced me to Blackpink. I’ve been a blink for 5 years now lol
it does have a meaning, something of the genre, the world will appreciate the music, dance, videos and their beauty (just like what happened in Troia, when they received the horse they admired the sculpture) and when you know it, you're already conquered.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
“My brain hurts” jajajjaja
yess blackpink!
You need to know ! :)
Blackpink is a 4 member group consisting of a main vocalist, lead vocalist, main rapper and a lead rapper. They are under YG entertainment, the same company who brought us Gangnam Style. Their producer, Teddy Park is genius behind Blackpink's music. The fandom name are called BLINKS
Main vocalist Rosé, her vocals are amazing.
Recommended songs to check out:
• DDU-DU DDU-DU (and Tokyo dome remix)
• How you like that
•Pretty Savage (the album version, contains more cursing and savageness)
• Whistle
• Boombayah
• Forever young
• Ice Cream (ft. Selena Gomez)
• Bet you wanna (ft. Cardi B)
• Kill this love
• Love to hate me
• Crazy over you
These ones are some of their calm and emotional music:
• Stay
• You never know
Rosé solos:
• On the ground
• Gone
Jennie solos:
• Solo
Their are Japanese versions, the rap verses are in english:
• Boombayah Jp Ver.
• Whistle Jp Ver.
• Stay Jp Ver.
They've also done covers:
• Sure thing (originally by Miguel)
• Loser (originally by BigBang)
Start at the beginning: Boombayah and Whistle were their debut M\V, can't go wrong

What things mean... well the classicist/lawyer sister of a British priest, who studied classical literature ("all you need is a double first from Cambridge to understand BLACKPINK's videos") sent Jolly notes for an informative reaction video, LOTS of mythology references mostly Greek if I remember

We are so proud of Lisa! 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭✨

Question for you: what are your favorite music genres? Favorite songs or groups of all time? I like knowing peoples’ music tastes for future recommendations
I don’t have a particular favorite, but things I listen to for different moods, music is so moving to me in general, that I use it emotionally. I love things across all genres but do have a couple I’m not in to. Not really into like death metal or screamo. Just couldn’t get into it for some reason. Also I do AMAs on my life streams

YES BRO WHEN YOU SAID MY BRAIN HURTS I REALLY FELT THAT 😔🤣 WELCOME TO BLACKPINK WORLD 🤗 YOUR BRAIN WILL BLOWING UP
As a quick introduction, Blackpink's songs have concepts that goes from the Black concept (strong and sassy attitude, trap sound and hip hop based like Kill This Love, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Pretty Savage) to the Pink concept (more popish and happy songs, like Whistle, Ice Cream feat Selena Gomez, Boombayah, As If It's Your Last).
Watch first their debut song BOOMBAYAH AND WHISTLE

Everything that goes into their M/V's is there for a reason (or symbolism).
Take for example, at the end of this M/V there's 2 Trojan horses and on the Dome it has a depiction of the world (earth).
