The grammar and sentence structure in Korean is often very different than in English, so the ‘matching’ words don’t often match up. It’s another reason why kpop lyrics can be very impressive. The writers (who are often the artists themselves) put a lot of effort into the bilingual lyrics, so they not only make sense, but also rhyme and flow with the rest of the song.
I've also heard that they originally wrote the song in english and then they adapt the lyric to match the rhytm in korean later(like they kept the overall meaning of the sentence but using different word play, have to give a lot of credit to productiin team though).

Also, as a bilingual speaker. When you translate songs (and like most translations) you are not translating word by word but almost rewriting with interpretation of the person translating. Sometime entire phrases get changed with one that means the same things but its worded entirely different. So yeah, you don’t direct translate songs but you remake it and find ways to make it rhyme with a similar meaning adapted not only for the language but the target culture as well.

I think K-POP in general is known for having so many different genres. Other groups beside blackpink like BTS, Stray Kids, Ateez, the Boyz, KARD, Itzy, TXT are just some of the other groups that go from genre to genre. Groups usually have at least one or more dedicated rappers, who can do their solo side projects or even group rap projects as well. You should check out e.g. Agust D - Daechwita, Bobby - U MAD, Zico - Bermuda Triangle... or there was a competition on MNET called Kingdom and group rappers had to come together to create a new original song and perform it: Mayfly - Playing with Paint. Don't be afraid, embrace the k-pop :))).

Yes, finally!!! :))) You've really been missing out on a lot, k-pop is not just pop music, it's also rap, and it goes hard. There are so many great rap songs out there. Groups usually have at least one or more dedicated rappers, who can do their solo side projects or even group rap projects as well. You should check out e.g. Agust D - Daechwita, Bobby - U MAD, Zico - Bermuda Triangle... or there was a competition on MNET called Kingdom and group rappers had to come together to create a new original song and perform it: Mayfly - Playing with Paint. Don't be afraid, embrace the k-pop :))).
