BLACKPINK performed at Coachella back in 2019 (across both weekends) for about an hour on the Sahara Stage, and they sung about 13 songs. 3 of those performances can be found on their RUclips channel. Note: The footage used is from the first weekend.
BLACKPINK (South Korean K-pop Group) Lisa - Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Rose - Born in Auckland, New Zealand, and Raised in Melbourne, Australia. Jennie - Born in South Korea, Grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, and then moved back to South Korea. Jisoo - Born and raised in South Korea.
All correct except Jennie studied in New Zealand for 5 years as a child and stayed with a host family. It’s a long time but part of that childhood was also in Korea.
@@tp5487 yup Jennie studied for 5 years in NZ as a child.. she was an exchange student from Korea living with a host family. As for Rosé, I don’t think birth until toddler/preschool age really counts. Her memory starts at about 5 years old probably- For the most part Lol. Rosé was in NZ from birth to 6 years old (7 in Korean years). Then she lived in Australia until she was 16. With that timeframe she would be much more Australian than NZ.
@@tp5487 This is true but Rose identifies as Australian and states that Australia is her home. I assume its because her teenage years she was in Australia and that's really where you grow and become your own person.
They've had collaborations with Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B so far. Plus, Lisa recently collaborated with DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion, on a song called SG (Sexy Girl).
BTS and Blackpink are separate record labels and very very likely never to record anything together. Also, many of those BTS videos reacting to other performers are fake, except for an award shows. And sometimes they are fake. It's usually BTS reacting to their own videos, but someone edits it to look like other groups.
Jisoo from korea , Lisa from Thailand , Rose is Korean Australian , Jenny is Korean that lived in New Zealand before...there are no one from Japanese or Chinese...
Rose was born in NZ but she grew up and Australia...and that was not the point ..those guys are mentioned that there are Chinese and Japanese member are in black pink ..that s why I just made sure
@@youfckingidiot9893 Sorry to add that Rose moved to Australia from NZ at the age of 7 and move to S.Korea at 15. She has got Korean and NZ (dual) citizenships.
Some interesting facts: all their sets are usually real. Fire, walls, water, everything. Their company really put much money on the table for their groups 😁 but yeah, Blackpink is no joke when we talk about quality/money 💲 Their MVs can always be interpreted in many different ways, so there're many theories. But they usually talk about toxic/abusive relationships, etc; but at the same time they talk about haters/toxic fans.
A majority of their songs are about calling out haters and talking about their wealth. Lovesick girls and kill this love are the only ones talking about love.
@@kyler9264 kill this love still had that I’m a bad bitch type of meaning still, stay, playing with fire and lsg are the only meaning full songs that aren’t focused on them/their fame and wealth. Most of their songs are shallow/meaningless asf.
@@Suxx4u If u think most of their songs are shallow and meaningless u should excuse urself from watching reaction videos or perhaps any of their MVs? Seems counter-productive to me.
We love the fact that the majority of you enjoyed us watching BlackPink and are suggesting more for us to view. Just to be clear, Cory stated that this track was recorded in both Japanese and Korean and said that he loved that in both versions they switch from Korean/Japanese to English in the same verse. We really don’t understand why we are receiving the negativity that the version we are reviewing was the Korean version, and there’s “No Japanese here”.
@@WithheldStorm That’s fair, but we feel we try to do as much justice as possible to the amazing artists we reviewing by trying, and sometimes failing, to learn as much as possible about the artist(s) and their art before we review the video. But thank you for clarifying that there may some confusion.
@@BeardsBoozeBandsBS we understand that you guys are still getting to know them so it's okay if you aren't always right. We will respectfully correct you if something is not accurate and add a bit of information here and there.
Fact remains the fact, the expenses from outfits, decorations and productions in the official music video. It cost approximately $8-10 million US dollars. But the most expensive among all the official music video of Black Pink was the DDU-DDU-DDU-DDU, which is costly a whopping $16-18 million US dollars. It is according from koreaboo and soompi, a official and legit Korean website page.
BLACKPINK's whole MV playlist is the sole winner of the *BEST MVs* in k-pop. The excellence is unmatched. It's an understatement saying one would be disappointed watching other group MVs after watching BLACKPINK's.
Thanks guys, loved all of your takes on the video! For a little backstory, *HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, a few examples are: The winged statue in the temple represents Nike, Goddess of Victory. Rosé (silver hair), in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus. One day while she was out gathering flowers, Hades, God of the Underworld, abducted her and dragged her down to the Underworld where she was forced to become his wife. The video shows her in her beautiful image, surrounded by flowers, as well as how she became, dirty and grey, staring up at the world through a hole in the Underworld. She was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is why we have Spring and Summer. Jennie (maroon dress) under the umbrellas is surrounded by dancers, their hands are "spiders", crawling over her face. Directly after this, under the burning umbrellas (they're rotating too, by the way), Jisoo is seated in a chair that is spiderlike in its design. The Trojan Horses at the end are a message from BLACKPINK to the world. They symbolize the fact that BLACKPINK, like the Greeks, will emerge and take over the global music world This was from their first album released worldwide). If you look at the last scene you will notice that on the inside of the dome it looks like there's an organic growth over parts of the ceiling. It's actually a map of the world that the group is going to dominate. Also, the *HOW YOU LIKE THAT DANCE PERFORMANCE* is a fantastic choreography version, it has over One Billion views itself: ruclips.net/video/32si5cfrCNc/видео.html and Corey (hope I spelled it right, it's how I spell my name!), if you haven't checked out the *Making Of HOW YOU LIKE THAT* it's definitely worth a watch: ruclips.net/video/KVsRHth92Jw/видео.html and you can also see additional filming and more of the sets, rigs and cameras used in *BLACKPINK 24/365 Ep: 2* ruclips.net/video/U_RL_wbowhw/видео.html
@@lazerx1828 Yes I have. fortunately, I have seen out the pandemic. A few family members have caught Covid but fortunately, only the milder strain and all are recovered. Due to lack of new BlackPink material, I have been playing away from home, with the Red Velvet lady's and those raunchy Mamamoo girls! 😃
That religious statue is also part of Lisa culture and it goes by a different name and the way they practice is different. Like Christmas is celebrated all over the world but how each country celebrate is different.
sure! but ganesha was literally born in india, indian mythology has influenced thailand culture a lot especially ramayana. but this still doesn't justify placing a hindu deity on the floor near her legs, in our culture the statues of god's are always placed high up, even wearing of footwears is banished in the temples so keeping the deity there was definitely very ignorant (altho they didn't meant to) but it resulted in hurting the emotions of many hindu fans as depicted lisa higher than ganesha (not her fault tho) the thing with YG is instead of actually releasing an apology and catering to the feelings of the supportive fans they pushed the matter under the rug and silently edited the video releasing no statement. (there was similar issue of african culture appropriation before but as always YG remained silent, probably because of the minority of the fans of certain culture)also as a hindu it was disheartening how many fans mocked and ridiculed our culture saying it wasn't something big and that she follows the same faith (lisa is christian btw atleast her mom is and let's say even if she was hindu and worshiped lord ganesha, the placement of statue was definitely very wrong). i love to listen their songs and the girls are dope too. just throwing some light on the actual issue and what was wrong. peace out. :)
@@vanshikadudi7124 I heard that they place Hindu God in Buddhist temple and it goes by different name. It's the norm there. I know Thailand have lots of Indian influence and indian civilization and culture is old. It's how people practice a religion in their own way. It's the same thing with almost every religion, culture and tradition change through time. You will know If you read history and some facts. We can't do anything about it. I know where you're coming from but I just wanted to mentioned some things if you're not aware. Have a gud day.
@@flymetotheup9904 i literally have double MA in history and sociology :) i know how culture is adopted from different regions and then modified by the masses according to their interpretation. i have studied this transmission of culture thoroughly in my university and having any lil knowledge about the religion and the practices of thailand, they are almost the same in worshipping especially when it comes to hindu deities (meaning the placement and using the deity as a prop in such manner is still not justified). i don't know from where buddhism came up (it was originated in india too btw...later siddhartha preached it to the whole world) i know my facts , thanks for your concern. have good day to you too.
@@vanshikadudi7124 The thing is Lisa part is middle East vibes. She was walking through the alleyway of middle Eastern market. You know how asian idols of God were sold in market. That's what they are trying to do. They ain't intentionally trying to disrespect it. I mean she ain't gonna disrespect her own culture. I don't know much about religion but you said it's almost the same in worshipping yet some Thai on Twitter said differently. I have seen Hindu idols on many movies and songs. I am not justifying. I am trying to see it from different point of view. I don't get the reaction and backlash but I know this offend y'all in certain aspects or regards. I think they should never ever do anything related with Indian.
@@flymetotheup9904 The disrespectful situation was given when they put the statue on a lower, or floor position, as I read in some article, and that is why they had to remove that part, the interesting thing was that the Blackpink channel didn't have to remove the video to do so, so they didn't lose their views, and maybe it's not a great time to talk about another group but, in the JYP/Rain - Switch to me cover made by Chaeyoung and Dahyun from the Girl Group Twice (from JYPe) Dahyun appeared with a very similar hanbok (traditional Korean clothes) than the hanbok used by Jisoo in this MV, but they removed the entire video and loose their views to replace those scenes (because they were in many more screen time).
You guys should also react to the "Making of" video for this MV. The filmmaker will especially love the multiple Arri Alex camera rigs that they run (you will notice them in all of their making of videos). They do some interesting setups to get the shots in the final production.

+ Selena Gomez asked for this song to be in "Hotel Transylvania" because she has been friends with Blackpink since their collab song * "Ice Cream" * + Blackpink was assembled with multilingual members (especially English) because the Entertainment company (YG) wanted a global group, more appealing to western market. + Coachella -Blackpink was the first kpop "group" in 2019 to perform, not just female + *Blackpink* & *BTS* collab would be a dream come true for multi-fans like myself and set the world on 🔥🔥 *BUT* due to "toxic" fans (not culture) that will never happen. Toxic fans of groups hate other groups, even toxic fans of a specific member in a group hating the rest of the group members. IT'S CRAZY For example, V of BTS accidentally followed Jennie Blackpink on a social media platform, immediately he unfollowed. Toxic fans began attacking Jennie leaving hate messages calling her a B#### and warning her to leave V alone. It wasn't her fault. This is what I appreciate about western artists, they follow and support each other openly
That was well said. I'm a fan of BlackPink and I like all four of the girls, but I'll say something about a video like, "Man Jisoo really killed it in this song" and tons of Lisa fans or Jennie fans will come and just go crazy because I praised Jisoo instead of their bias.
that would be EPIC COLLABORATION & TICKETS WILL BE ALL SOLD OUT .....we can only WISH...... just imagine...... blackpink & bts, in one big concert.......
6:40 - "K-pop" is "korean pop". So their language is korean. But they sing in english and there're japanese versions of their songs. -Jennie (6:20) is korean but grew up in NZ. Main rapper, can speak english, korean and basic japanese. -Jisoo (6:28) is the oldest member, she's from Korea. Visual and vocal, can speak korean, some chinese, basic japanese and not fluent [but good] english. -Rosé (6:36) is from New Zeland (but her family is korean), grew up in Australia, she's aussie. Main vocal, can speak english, korean, basic japanese. -Lisa (7:20) is the youngest member, she's from Thailand. Main dancer, can speak thai, english, korean, basic japanese and now, I guess almost fluent chinese. They started in 2016, and their fans are called "blinks".
@@r-recordbreaker947 she already passed the "basic" level in chinese. I don't know if *you* know, but she's learning chinese for a long time already, since she's a dance mentor in China. And I said "almost"; when I say "almost", I mean that her chinese is pretty good, but not fluent yet.
From different sources, especially rumor sites, a good amount of idols do date and some with each other but ofcourse they don't share it because backlash is almost certain. Even though the positive reactions are more, the negative ones leave greater impact so most avoid it. Some companies also ban dating for their idols, some are even kicked out of their company, so there's that. That's why shipping is sort of looked down in fandoms. But like, as a joke or just reffering to their dynamics as friends, shipping is very common, they even have ship names for every duo in a group, even other groups Also some would reveal their relationships when they're already getting married and no one even knew about them dating 😭😭
There's a show where current groups would go compete with each other like a survival show. They cover each other's songs and more! They have different groups that debut from different years some even just debuted the same year and some have been in the industry for years. It's called kingdom (for boy groups) and Queendom (for girl groups) so far they have 1 season complete for each and Queendom season 2 is airing now. The most popular groups haven't participated yet, and I think they never will 😭😭
@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971 true, plus the prize for the winner is a comeback broadcasted worldwide, I think big groups are already doing that so...
Because Big groups doesn't need to prove to anyone anymore that they are Kings/Queens. They're achievements and records are enough and just by mentioning they're group name.. people can already know that they are Kings and Queens. And if ever they would join/participate I think even if they just sit there or do nothing they can gather huge amount of votes and views...(No hate to other groups, just stating the facts.) the winner of the competition will be determined in just the 1st round.
@@shaina4390 for fans especially of multiple groups that join the show, it's less of a competition for them and more of a fun show where their faves can interact and do stuff that they wouldnt normally do when performing. That's why we want them to join, but we know it's impossible at this point 😭😭😭
Jennie: speaks Korean, Japanese and English fluently and learning French(and possibly Mandarin) Rosé: speaks Korean, Japanese and English fluently and learnt/still learning Spanish. Jisoo: speaks Korean and Japanese fluently, pretty good Mandarin and learning English. Lisa: speaks English, Thai, Korean and Japanese fluently, pretty decent Mandarin and proved that she know very basic Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay and Tagalog
sad to say but they are most likely never going to do a collab because of how crazy kpop fans are💀 they can’t even look at each other without fans shipping them. WOULD LOVE A COLLAB THO
True, but I think if they ever do collab, a big chunk of fanwars would be resolved and they'd certainly break lots of records. But that's never gonna happen 😭😭
Why are you ratmys blaming all the shippers?? First thing first, Some of you are so obsessed tbh to the point that you will start shading all the girls that will get involve to the boys. You’ll even start a trending party on twitter. It’s not all about shippers but also deranged and obsessed fans too are the reason why they can’t interact.
I'm sure its been pointed out by someone else but Rose (usually has blonde hair) is actually Australian. She moved to Australia when she was very young and is the best singer in the group. :) Great reaction

Oh also, Lisa is Thai and Hinduism is a religion there, and it's against the religion to have people above Ganesh, so Lisa was sitting higher than the statue and that's why it had to be removed.
Mayority of kpop groups have songs in Japanase as Korea is too small of a market to make profit, so Japan is the best option as it has the second biggest music industry (America being the number1). So idols learn to speak Japanese because of that.
It's called BLACKPINK signature, they put like dance break on the last part and that what makes it so BLACKPINK, but they have tried different styles as well if you would like to check their other songs you'll probably see how versatile they are. 14:56 "Because I'm a performer and because I'm a dancer, I want to have like a big ass dance break..." This is so frustrating. Blackpink has a wonderful dancer among them. Unfortunately, Lisa has never been given a solo dance break in an MV, courtesy of that group's dumb company.
In the lisa rap part . they put lord ganesha photo on the floor which is the main reason of controversy. For me it was disrespectful but thank YG entertainment for solving this problem.
Japan is Kpop's #2 market. So all of the major Kpop groups make Japanese language MV's and perform in Japanese when on tour in Japan. What's interesting is the rap is in English. They currently have 5 MV's with 1 billion+ views. Their Coachella performance was named a Top Twenty performance is the 20 years of Coachella.

Bp is the kpop gg that brought me into kpop back in early 2020 but they’re very inactive in the industry. Usually, a kpop group makes one or two comebacks per year regardless of their popularity, age, agency or number of years in the industry. However it seems to me yge (their label) is an exception. They barely gave their any comebacks and many people believe it is a marketing strategy. They starve fans and even casual listeners to a point that no one can wait anymore. Then they give u something, so everyone becomes so thankful and hyped. Now, it’s been more than 1.5 years since their last comeback and their contract expires by 2023. Their senior group 2NE1, one of the most iconic kpop groups, only released two full albums before their disbandment. I’m worried if this is going to happen to bp also as they only have one full album. So far, there is still no news regarding their comeback. (I’m almost certain they will have one in 2022 I just don’t know when)

Plus it's always cool to hear Jimin & Tae (V) sing together because of the dichotomy of their voices. Tae's baritone & Jimin's high set soft & breathy voices sound so great together 💜 Eta: since you're planning on watching Blackpink's "ddududdu", may I recommend after you do that, the watch a group called stray kids song "gods menu". Then treat yourself and watch stray kids performing "gods ddududdu" live on a show called Kingdom, which is reimagined mash up of those 2 songs, and the performance is inspired by Deadpool. I know that's a lot to take in but worth it! Pls pls pls lol. Thank you! 💜
I could only see the two collaborating in a "for a cause" music project like a "Heal the World" type of project. Because it's the only project where the two groups have a good excuse for the public and for the labels too.
I would say idols not dating (aka... dating in secret) has multiple reasons behind it. 1. One reason that Korean fans like to give a lot is that they feel particularly in an idol's early career they should be focusing on their work/fans without distractions. There are some older idols who are dating like Joy from Red Velvet. She's dating an R&B artist by the name of Crush, and everyone is fine with it. 2. Another problem that most fans will deny is an issue is just flat out jealousy. It's not that the fans believe they have a chance with a kpop idol, but they still don't want someone else to enjoy what they can't have kinda thing lol? I think for some fans it also breaks some kind of illusion? It's not as fun to hear a cute boy idol flirt with fans if you know he actually has a girlfriend. If anything it would make it seem like questionable behavior. 3. I think another thing that bugs some fans is the idea that an idol is using the money he/she made from fans buying albums/merch/going to concerts to date/buy things for their partner? Maybe a "I supported your career so you could buy yourself or your family nice things, not some girl/boy." Which of course is ridiculous and entitled. It feeds back into the jealousy thing I think. 4. Privacy. It's better to date quietly than to deal with messy public break ups. The fans won't harass anyone either. Fun Fact: For a short while, Jennie from Blackpink dated Kai from EXO. We only know that because they were caught by a news outlet though.

Thank you for reacting to BLACKPINK aka THE BIGGEST GIRLGROUP in the world. who broke records and charts here and there. As nice for it to hear about the collaboration of both groups I think if it wasn't for the culture and stuff and some fans, the collaboration of both BIGGEST BOYGROUP AND GIRLGROUP would be so BIG and would shake the world
yes it would be amazing but it would be so hard to fit 11 people into a song and make it fair for everyone. i can already see lisa fans hating on v for getting one line more and so on. and even if they did smaller groups the amount of hate will be anonymous i think it will overshadowing the song itself i think big hit and YG knows it but i have notice that they are having a deal/arrangement. first bts have an anthology album before going solo than a mount later bp have a comeback. and they have to talk so that their music don´t overlap each other or else blinks and army will fight. they have arranged this carefully. also the busan bet thing. you have BTS holding a online concert for free that everyone can watch but at the same time BP are on tour in the US so people can´t help noticing them. but also the YG was printed back on bts cover of proof and Blackpink was written in j-hopes trailer for jack in the box. it turned out to be a different group but still they know how to spread the news silently it´s very subtle that only serious fans will notice
Thankyou!!! Thankyou for commending YG and editors to remove the religious statue. Many young fans were upset. Happy that most fans did understand why but still.. it was hard too see and hear the backlash from both sides ( people who were hurt and the fans).
Thanks for reacting to BLACKPINK. Most of their Japanese Version songs rap parts were translated from Korean into English. (Like the Japanese ver. of How You Like That rap of Lisa was all in English). You can also check out their NETFLIX documentary film, BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY to know about them more, their training process, and their individual stories. 😊
BlackPink just dropped a new comeback MV & it broke the internet!! "Pink Venom" is the biggest RUclips premiere of 2022. 90 million views in 24 hours lol. These ladies are just on a different level. Great Reaction though guys!! :b
That Ganesha "controversy" was kinda ridiculous when you considered Ganesha is revered in Thailand as well which is Lisa's (the one rapping) home country.
it s very rare especially for the last 2 generations of kpop to make official collabs. The market is very competitive ,they are from different companies and the fans especially blinks and army's (some of them ) don't get along at all plus people that ship them together, it's impossible to have a collab. But we all know that it would break the internet if that ever happens :)) . They do react to each other when they are attending award shows and everything and u can see videos of bts jamming to blackpink songs and vice versa . Honestly the fans made it impossible for them to ever interact on camera sadly especially boy groups towards girl groups. The only collabs that are possible with both genders let s say on the same stage are on certain award shows when they gather a member from each group and have like a dance moment or smth
Hi guys! Thank you for reacting to BLACKPINK. Hoping for more! :) I think you'll also like to watch the BEHIND THE SCENES of their MVs. They also post it in their channel.
Blackpink - Lisa can speak 5 languages; 3 fluenty : english , thai, korean. Intermediate level in japanese and She is basic in chinese The solo song “lalisa “ by lisa has went into the world geniuos record as the fastest soloist in the world to get to 100m and 300 million views within a month. The previous record holder for that was taylor swift.
I think the backlash about BTS and blackpink dating is because so many fans have videos where they “ship” members together and analyze every single one of their interactions (which by the way are basically them running into each other or sitting/standing next to each other at award shows ) that people are like please not this, don’t encourage those fans any more. Do Korean idols date..most likely, Jenny from blackpink dated Kai from EXO. Is just that for the most part it’s not made public and in particular BTS has not publicized any of their relationships (which I assume they have as they are adult men, yet even the fact that they do or don’t date is not known). It’s crazy how much content they have but yet the public still doesn’t know much about their public lives, which I respect. It’s amazing how they build this relationship with fans where you feel so connected to them, but still they are able to keep their lives as private as they want.
I don’t really understand why people get so upset about other cultures emphasizing other cultures in their music… what’s wrong with prompting figures of other religions/cultures? Why do we see this as disrespect instead of promoting it/respecting it? Personally I think people just like to be offended by anything related to their life at this point.
You should react to Feel My Rhythm by Red Velvet. The song is incredible and the MV has a lot of references in art! It looks cute but before I saw the theories behind it I was 🤯.
WHO IS BLACKPINK? BLACKPINK IS THE BIGGEST GIRL GROUP IN THE WORLD. THE MOST SUBSCRIBED ARTISTS IN RUclips. WHAT DOES BLACKPINK MEAN? According to their company "Pink is commonly used to portray prettiness, but BLACKPINK actually means 'Pretty isn't everthing', It also symbolizes that they are a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talents". BLACK refers to swag, fierce, powerful side. PINK refers to their pretty and feminine side. WHAT COMPANY IS BLACKPINK FROM? Under YG ENTERTAINMENT, one of THE BIG 3 Record Labels and Entertainment Company in South Korea and a company of powerhouse artists like The King of K-pop, BIGBANG, The Oppa Gangnam Style, PSY, and many more. They are also under the same company with Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 which is the INTERSCOPE RECORDS. BLACKPINK won their first award after 13 days of debut, the fastest to win an award in a short period of time after debuting. One of their recent single How You Like That broke five guinness world record including the most viewed video in 24 hours with 86.7M views and 8 hours later became the fastest video of all time to reach 100M views and 6 days later became the fastest to reach 200M views. HOW MANY MEMBERS IN BLACKPINK? BLACKPINK IS CONSISTS OF FOUR MEMBERS. Here some basic facts to know them even just a little bit: 1. KIM JISOO, pronounce as [gee-sue] was born on Jan 3, 1995. A Korean born and raised in South Korea, the straight up korean girl. The Main Visual and Lead Vocalist. 2. JENNIE KIM, was born on Jan 16, 1996. A Korean girl born and raised in South Korea til 10 years old and lived in New Zealand. The Main Rapper and also the Lead Vocalist. 3. PARK CHAEYOUNG, or commonly known as Rosé [ro-say], she was born on Feb 11, 1997. A Korean who was born in New Zealand but raised in Australia. The Main Vocalist and Lead Dancer. 4. LALISA MANOBAL(N), or called by her mononame Lisa, she was born on 032797. A Thai born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. The Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist and Maknae (Youngest) of the group. BLACKPINK MEMBERS are very down to earth person that you won't believe that they came from a wealthy family. Jisoo's father is a CEO, she has an older brother and sister, she is the youngest in the family but in blackpink is the the oldest. Jennie's dad owns a hospital and her mom is a very successful business woman, she is an only child. Rosé came from a family of lawyers where her dad and older sister are both international lawyers, she is also the youngest in the family. Lisa the youngest member of blackpink, an only child of award-winning, honorary president of Thai Chefs Assocation and honorary member of Culinary Union of United Arab Emirates, her dad is Marco Bruschweiler a renowned Master Chef in Thailand and Switzerland and owns a culinary school. But growing up rich doesn't mean you'll be rich yourself. Our girls manage to take their own path at early age of 14-15 to work hard to reach their dreams and earn money by theirselves. TAKE NOTE: The American record labels and Korean record labels are completely different. In America a label will scout you and pick you up as an artist. In Korea, you audition at a company in hope of being a trainee. If you pass and become a trainee, you train for years in sing/rapping and dancing and other things to debut. In training days they had a vocal, dancing, rapping, krumping, english and japanese lesson. There were also weekly videos where they had to film of them singing, popping, dancing, rapping and choosing their clothes and styles, they usually train and practice 12PM to 12AM. Every month trainees are required to prepare and show a solo song, a group song, a solo dance, a group dance and so on. These evaluations take place in front of all the judges and even the CEO. This monthly evaluation needs to be held in order for the company to see their trainee's improvement. It might sound like just something normal, though this is a very important moment. If you don't show enough potential or improvement, the CEO can simply decide to kick you out. You then have to leave the company, also meaning you won't have another chance to fullfil your dream as an idol. This is why trainees practice so much. The company will then decide whether or not they’ll debut you in a group or as a solo artist or you will not debut at all. You debut with people you’ve been training with. Blackpink started training together since they were 14-15 years old, Jennie and Lisa are the pioners who was trained for almost 6 years, this means more than 70 monthly evaluations they had to go through, Luckily it all paid off. Blackpink when signing contract in their company it states that they are fobidden in 6 things: drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, plastic surgery and dating. Back when they are trainees they are not allowed to interact or talk to the male trainees. Below are the lists of Brands and Fashion Events endorsed and attended by BLACKPINK: 1.
Lisa was born in Buriram, but it's ok, because Bangkok is the best known for foreigner.

And Rosé spent equal amount of years growing up in NZ and Australia
@@tp5487 yup Jennie studied for 5 years in NZ as a child.. she was an exchange student from Korea living with a host family. Rosé was in NZ from birth to 6 years old (7 in Korean years). Then she lived in Australia until she was 16. With that timeframe she would be much more Australian than NZ.

Their MVs can always be interpreted in many different ways, so there're many theories. But they usually talk about toxic/abusive relationships, etc; but at the same time they talk about haters/toxic fans.
A majority of their songs are about calling out haters and talking about their wealth. Lovesick girls and kill this love are the only ones talking about love.

And also the behind of all music production on Blackpink from Teddy Park.
There are many Greek references in the video, a few examples are:
The winged statue in the temple represents Nike, Goddess of Victory.

It's the same thing with almost every religion, culture and tradition change through time. You will know If you read history and some facts. We can't do anything about it.
There is no japanese lyrics in this song, however, there is a japanese version~
You guys should also react to the "Making of" video for this MV. The filmmaker will especially love the multiple Arri Alex camera rigs that they run (you will notice them in all of their making of videos). They do some interesting setups to get the shots in the final production.

-Kiss and Make up with Dua lipa live and lyric video
-Sour Candy with Lady Gaga live on the show
ICE CREAM is a collab though
I love her small smile when she thought Jennie said Bring out the boss b*tch.
she actually said “ bring out your boss b!tch”
+ Selena Gomez asked for this song to be in "Hotel Transylvania" because she has been friends with Blackpink since their collab song * "Ice Cream" *
+ Blackpink was assembled with multilingual members (especially English) because the Entertainment company (YG) wanted a global group, more appealing to western market.
+ Coachella -Blackpink was the first kpop "group" in 2019 to perform, not just female
+ *Blackpink* & *BTS* collab would be a dream come true for multi-fans like myself and set the world on 🔥🔥 *BUT* due to "toxic" fans (not culture) that will never happen.
"Netizens" spend too much time thinking about netizens spending too much time thinking about netizens.
Well, after that blinks also attacked V in official BTS insta. Both are equally toxic
@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971*ALL* toxic fans make what could be amazing collabs impossible therefore ruining it for we multi-fans.
That was well said. I'm a fan of BlackPink and I like all four of the girls, but I'll say something about a video like, "Man Jisoo really killed it in this song" and tons of Lisa fans or Jennie fans will come and just go crazy because I praised Jisoo instead of their bias.
@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971 lmao stop lyin
that would be EPIC COLLABORATION & TICKETS WILL BE ALL SOLD OUT
.....we can only WISH......
just imagine...... blackpink & bts, in one big concert.......
Rosé nationality is new zealand. You can research here on youtube. Her answer is new zealand.
Haha lisa is almost fluent in chinese? Are you real? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@jaykye582 keep dreaming. She only know few chinise language and she's is not really fluent. You sure you know the meaning of fluent?
I would love to see you guys do reaction to their other mv's looking forward on that!.
YG mentioned that they allocated 500 million won for every comeback’s MV. So that almost usd400 thousand.
But like, as a joke or just reffering to their dynamics as friends, shipping is very common, they even have ship names for every duo in a group, even other groups
Also some would reveal their relationships when they're already getting married and no one even knew about them dating 😭😭
The most popular groups haven't participated yet, and I think they never will 😭😭
Bcz big groups are already big and incomparable
Blackpink is literally the standard of kpop !!! Coolest idol ever 🔥🔥😎
They put around 3-4 M in one MV
Jennie: speaks Korean, Japanese and English fluently and learning French(and possibly Mandarin)
Rosé: speaks Korean, Japanese and English fluently and learnt/still learning Spanish.
Ikr...it hurts n annoying 2× more as an ARMYBLINK 😓
bruh fr kpop stans are crazy the fan wars are insane
Facts. That's impossible. Never gonna happen...
Ayeeee! Can't wait for you to do more Blackpink reactions! They are so good and have cute personalities too :')
I love your audio guys, when you played that mv.
I'm sure its been pointed out by someone else but Rose (usually has blonde hair) is actually Australian. She moved to Australia when she was very young and is the best singer in the group. :) Great reaction
Yes, Blackpink is the most popular female EDM Hip-hop/Trap group in the K-pop industry nowaday. You guys should also react to their "Kill This Love" official M/V and Live performance at Coachella 2019. Tysm for this genuine reaction.😎👍🖤💖

Check their tracks from The Album which is Blackpink's first full album and you'll probably understand what's with they hyped they have for.

Lisa will always being the main It girl in every blackpink comeback with her rap, dance, style and attitude that locals can't ignore her charisma through it, cuz she delivere it so perfect
The dance performance video of this song also has over a billion views on RUclips. It's the first dance practice/performance video ever, to hit a billion views.
The K in K-Pop is Korean, but the K-Pop industry does like to branch out into Japanese and English.

(I’m almost certain they will have one in 2022 I just don’t know when)
Shania Twain is awesome. My first concert was the original Lynyrd Skynyrd, The outlaws and Steve Marriott from Humble Pie. and I am a huge Blink go figure. Went from the Beatles, Neil Young, Zepplin. Floyd, Slipknot to Blink for real. BLACKPINK is the revolution the world needs more BLACKPINK.

Blackpink don't use green screen.... Every single set make in real And all of them are outstanding 💝💝
Yay you guys are together again! I am a fan of both your & Lindsey's channels so I love when y'all team up! Since you mentioned this song being in a movie, you guys should watch BTS's members V & Jimin "Friends" live (no mv) because not only is a cute song about their friendship but it's also in Marvel's Eternals. Plus it's always cool to hear Jimin & Tae (V) sing together because of the dichotomy of their voices. Tae's baritone & Jimin's high set soft & breathy voices sound so great together 💜
Eta: since you're planning on watching Blackpink's "ddududdu", may I recommend after you do that, the watch a group called stray kids song "gods menu". Then treat yourself and watch stray kids performing "gods ddududdu" live on a show called Kingdom, which is reimagined mash up of those 2 songs, and the performance is inspired by Deadpool. I know that's a lot to take in but worth it! Pls pls pls lol. Thank you! 💜
I agree with Lindsey at the end..😁😄🤣 Thank you.❤
My favorite from them is Kill This Love
BLACKPINK with 73.5 million subscribers on youtube is officially the artist with the most subscribers on the planet, BLACKPINK snatched first place 6 months ago from JUSTIN BIEBER who had been dominating the world ranking for 8 years.

Thank you for reacting to BLACKPINK aka THE BIGGEST GIRLGROUP in the world. who broke records and charts here and there. As nice for it to hear about the collaboration of both groups I think if it wasn't for the culture and stuff and some fans, the collaboration of both BIGGEST BOYGROUP AND GIRLGROUP would be so BIG and would shake the world
why put world in quotes its WORLD
yes it would be amazing but it would be so hard to fit 11 people into a song and make it fair for everyone. i can already see lisa fans hating on v for getting one line more and so on. and even if they did smaller groups the amount of hate will be anonymous i think it will overshadowing the song itself i think big hit and YG knows it but i have notice that they are having a deal/arrangement. first bts have an anthology album before going solo than a mount later bp have a comeback. and they have to talk so that their music don´t overlap each other or else blinks and army will fight.
they have arranged this carefully. also the busan bet thing. you have BTS holding a online concert for free that everyone can watch but at the same time BP are on tour in the US so people can´t help noticing them. but also the YG was printed back on bts cover of proof and Blackpink was written in j-hopes trailer for jack in the box. it turned out to be a different group but still they know how to spread the news silently it´s very subtle that only serious fans will notice
Omg yes, that would be amazing! I wish BP would do more official releases with those types of harmonies
That Ganesha "controversy" was kinda ridiculous when you considered Ganesha is revered in Thailand as well which is Lisa's (the one rapping) home country.
Appreciate how you know about the statue issue and explained it
it s very rare especially for the last 2 generations of kpop to make official collabs.
As a Hindu there is nothing problem about the statue in the MV. People always wants some reason to hate them , probably jealous of their success
not a hindu nor do i have personal connection to this but ppl r saying its bc it was placed on the ground - which is disrespectful
@@kabeom you're not a hindu so stfu
Hi guys! Thank you for reacting to BLACKPINK. Hoping for more! :) I think you'll also like to watch the BEHIND THE SCENES of their MVs. They also post it in their channel.
Blackpink - Lisa can speak 5 languages;
3 fluenty : english , thai, korean. Intermediate level in japanese and She is basic in chinese
The solo song “lalisa “ by lisa has went into the world geniuos record as the fastest soloist in the world to get to 100m and 300 million views within a month. The previous record holder for that was taylor swift.
How you like that song was post be mix of hip hop in there song. Every song they make has a meaning to it.
They are the biggest girlgroup in the world
I don’t really understand why people get so upset about other cultures emphasizing other cultures in their music… what’s wrong with prompting figures of other religions/cultures? Why do we see this as disrespect instead of promoting it/respecting it? Personally I think people just like to be offended by anything related to their life at this point.
If these girls were going around talking bad about that specific culture I would have a different opinion but they do not do that at all.
I agree with you, people always try to be negative and be offended nowadays
There are behind the scenes videos for their MV’s, on their RUclips channel.
Green Screen is almost non-existent.
You should react to Feel My Rhythm by Red Velvet. The song is incredible and the MV has a lot of references in art! It looks cute but before I saw the theories behind it I was 🤯.
I recommend you guys to react to A.C.E! Goblin (Favorite boys), Undercover and Savage! 😍
