    The most impressive thing to me, is the attack and decay of the lower notes. A pipe on a large pipe organ takes time to begin to resonate, then, continues to resonate even after the airflow has been cut off. This sax can produce its low notes immediately, then, stop, or move on to another note. I've never seen this done on a tuba, which I assume has a similar range to this huge sax. A tuba cannot transition from note to note, nearly as quickly as this saxophone.
    Nicely done, Leo!!!!

    • @vincentrobinette1507
      @vincentrobinette1507 4 года назад +66

      @AJ H. I watched the video again, and noticed that he immediately allows the valves to open, which I'm sure, helps dampen the resonance. that's how I think he gets the immediate decay.

Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face by twitching your face muscles but I didn’t feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I’m not saying this to be funny, I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You’ve single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I’m so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny.

    In Leo's hands the essential character of the instrument - the stalwart, phlegmatic, dray horse of specialized ensembles - simply folds up and gives way to his intensely physical ability. One is torn between wanting to pass the hat to raise funds for a contrabass of his own, and feeling that he should never again be allowed near one, lest the entire purpose of such an instrument be outmoded.
