    This painting looks so beautiful! I totally agree that sometimes quick paintings can turn out so gorgeous by just allowing the watercolour and water to have blooms and flow across the page ☺️

      Thank youu and also for your presence during premiere, was nice to chat with people :) Yeah those quick drawings often look good enough even when you're not expecting them to. Maybe because of that..

    I waited more than 30 minutes after it was announced that you would release a new work. And my waiting time has paid off, your watercolor portrait of a girl is beautiful. The girl's gaze has depth, and shows your great ingenuity.

    I actually liked the sketch and it doesn't matter because it's just for reference as long as you get the proportions correct. I really loved this expressive painting w the complementary reds and greens making it pop. I really paid attention to how you created the bouquet. I'm adept at portraits, but adding the loose bouquet was something I haven't tried. I find I skip flowers because it is exhausting to paint every little fold and crevice in detail. I don't experience that w portraits (detail work) and enjoy it, so incorporating loose flowers is interesting and I see how you achieved it by preserving the dry area for hard edges (just enough detail to see it's a bouquet). Nice job!

      The proportions were a little off but I appreciate your comment :) I think colors can do so much to make artwork striking, as this piece have proven, I still can't believe how many people enjoy it. It was really a lower effort work. I hope you'll try the loose approach for yourself and that you'll have fun with it!

    Great new video of your beautiful painting, Jane. I love the looseness of the flowers set against the purely detailed portrait of the girl. You have been a great encouragement to me to move in to more portrait work and do imaginative things with it. Thank you!

    She is...like all of the other paintings I have seen you do...AMAZING! You at least are willing to draw the faces and paint. I want to start drawing faces, but my lack of skills holds me back

    Aaah, when you added ghe greens and oranges, so beautiful! I really wnjoy these nore laid back videos. Excited that you have help with the editing, and also excited for the new skillshare class! I don't have skillshare atm since i am busy in school but I hope I will have time again soon for one of your classes. :)

      Wish you best of luck with classes :) Skillshare is great, and I always have a link for free trial which is great, allows lots of people to take the class for free. And the classes aren't going anywhere, once you are free and ready to level up, you'll catch up ;)

    Oh this did not disappoint. The colours are so fresh and I love the Bloodstone Genuine for the hair. It feels like she is looking right at me so for me the drawing works! I would love to hear what you felt was your turning point. What did you do that was most helpful to move your art in the direction you wanted. A second question would be - did you always feel you are your own style or did that develop over time? So grateful for what I learn from you and just how you fill my day with beauty :)

      Dear Monique, thanks so much for your comment and a thoughtful question as well. I'll gladly answer both in the FAQ video. As for the style, do you think I have one? Because I can't quite see any yet :D But I guess those are the things others can tell sooner than you.

    does the pencil always stay in place despite all the water?

    • @JaneBeata
      @JaneBeata  2 года назад +1

      More or less yes, but you saw how many lines I did before, most of them were still at least a bit visible in places where I placed transparent colors. Sketch should last until you need to see the lines and so I cover the most important areas first (face parts), just in case... :)

    Do you do art from reference or make up from your mind

    • @JaneBeata
      @JaneBeata  7 месяцев назад +1

      Both, but mostly from references - some I find online and lately most of them I take myself.
