The box and covers needed some TLC, and all the discs are truly 24kt Gold archival quality. All transfers from the 2014 Vinyl box set. I ordered it on Ebay paid over $200.00 it turned out to be a fake. I didn’t know it was a fake until I saw a video about how to spot a fake. The mono mixes sound great to me. I would recommend it to any Beatles fan. I bought the E.P. Box set on Discogs and it turned out to be a good buy the sound is great.

Well, I prefer the look of the original box set. The gold discs don't even have the original labels. Magical Mystery Tour doesn't look like the album. The Beatles White Album doesn't open from the top and the black inner sleeves doesn't look like the black inner sleeves. Yellow Submarine wasn't officially released in mono. In some countries it was released in that format but it was a fold down on the stereo mix. And where's Rubber Soul? Didn't you buy the original box set when it came out? I have mine. The package is beutiful. Please don't take this the wrong way. You enjoy what you like. I just don't care how the box set is presented.

Another exciting video! I have bought the box twice, both times the seller promised it was genuine, but both times it was made in China. When I saw your Please Please Me, the slightly dark picture, I thought it was also from China! But it is 'homemade'. Nice work! I don't think Yellow Submarine ever is released in Mono, so it must be 'fold down' mono. The balcony from EMI House is now in McCartney's Hog Hill Mill studio.

this was a Chinese set originally, the covers I re glued and repaired, added new CD sleeves and outer sleeves, and I re did all the disc from transfers of the vinyl on 24kt gold disc. Yellow Sub did come out in mono in Brazil, but still may be a fold down.
@michaellundsrensen2292 I buy them online about $4 each disc and I burn them with a professional cdr burner and make my own labels. They claim archival life is 300 years..guess we will see 😆
Are you sure mate that you didn't get ripped off and got a counterfeit box set? The colours look a little washed out and very dark on the front covers to mine, There were literally thousands of them that people had trouble with even a years back?

(Tom here.) Why did they NOT include the "Abbey Road" CD in this box set? That's weird!!!! It's like they only did 9/10's of their job here. I can understand why they didn't include "The Beatles Again" (or 'Hey Jude' album) in this box set, but to leave out a major album is really stupid!!!! Do you know why they excluded it, Beatle Brad? Hi Tom, I do have a Mono copy of AR but in the US and in England Thay didn't make it. So, they don't consider it to be part of the Mono set. One problem is,Brad,a few of the songs on certain early have earlier fades.With The Beatles is a problem in itself on that deal.Play it against your Parlinlp original.Youll see what I mean.Not A Second Time has a least 3 seconds shaved off!!I found a bootleg that has mix differences and has the complete fade.The Capiphone corrects with this source I found.

Seems to me that fake editions of this box set are floating around out there. I am supposing that "gold discs" are the real ones? Buyer beware, I guess. Mono is apparently so much fun! Robert P is a magician when it comes to recreating these things.

I used 24kt gold disc and transfers from the 2014 vinly just for Brad, fixed all the covers and box and now he has a one of a kind boxset, made by his friend.
I have bad news, and good news. The bad news is you have a FAKE! How can I tell? because I actually purchased it when it came out in 2009. Here's how I know that yours is fake: First of all, the font that says "In Mono" is changed. Authentic copies of the box set would have "In Mono" done in the same font as the words The Beatles. Another tell tale sign is that each of your C.D.s do not have a cellophane envelope to protect the cover of each C.D.. Third tell tale sign is that the covers are not "Fold over covers. (This means that part of the front cover folds on to the back, the same way vinyl record covers were made in the 60s) Also, the inner sleeves of the authentic mono box set were reproduced to look like the original inner sleeves that protected the vinyl. PLUS... not only are the labels quite different from the authentic box set, the copy of Sgt Pepper included in yours does not have a reproduction of the original pink psychedelic inner sleeve that came with the album. Plus Yellow Submarine was not part of the original box set. The authentic box set has all the albums that were released in mono in both The U.S. and Great Britain, even though The White Albums wasn't released in mono in the U.S. It's true that Yellow Submarine was released in mono, but would most certainly not be included in this set because that was only released for the market in the Asian South Pacific, and not anyplace else. Plus "Mono" Beatles albums after The White Album are "Fake" or "Fold Over" mono, meaning that they took the stereo recordings, and rechanneled it so everything would come out of just one speaker. I actually have a counterfeit of the mono Yellow Submarine on C.D. And in case you're wondering, after reading that, yes, the authentic box set does come with Mono Masters. The good news is that many counterfeiters are coming out with excellent sounding versions of the box set, so, even if yours is a fake, that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the music contained therein. And I also agree with you that Sgt. Pepper in mono is a mind blowing trip in and of itself. And if you haven't listened to it yet, make sure to check out the mono version of The White Album, as well. You'll hear a lot of interesting differences. I won't tell you all of them, but the animal noises on Blackbird and Piggies are noticeably different from the stereo versions. (That's ALL I'm going to tell you. I'll let you discover all the other wonderful, and rather unique differences on your own.) Also the booklet in the authentic mono box set is stapled, while the fake on is glued together. So, I hope I didn't disappoint you to much by telling you that what you got is a fake, but if it's excellent sound quality, then it should be enjoyable all the same. After all, we're here for the MUSIC, aren't we? I have yo point out one mistake I made on my part, though. I thought I had a mono version of yellow Submarine on C.D. It turns out that I don't, but I DO have a mono version of Abbey Road. Well, I prefer the look of the original box set. The gold discs don't even have the original labels. Magical Mystery Tour doesn't look like the album. The Beatles White Album doesn't open from the top and the black inner sleeves doesn't look like the black inner sleeves. Yellow Submarine wasn't officially released in mono. In some countries it was released in that format but it was a fold down on the stereo mix. And where's Rubber Soul? Didn't you buy the original box set when it came out? I have mine. The package is beutiful. Please don't take this the wrong way. You enjoy what you like. I just don't care how the box set is presented.

I have bought the box twice, both times the seller promised it was genuine, but both times it was made in China.
When I saw your Please Please Me, the slightly dark picture, I thought it was also from China! But it is 'homemade'. Nice work!
I don't think Yellow Submarine ever is released in Mono, so it must be 'fold down' mono.

this was a Chinese set originally, the covers I re glued and repaired, added new CD sleeves and outer sleeves, and I re did all the disc from transfers of the vinyl on 24kt gold disc. Yellow Sub did come out in mono in Brazil, but still may be a fold down.

Are you sure mate that you didn't get ripped off and got a counterfeit box set? The colours look a little washed out and very dark on the front covers to mine, There were literally thousands of them that people had trouble with even a years back?

Why did they NOT include the "Abbey Road" CD in this box set? That's weird!!!! It's like they only did 9/10's of their job here. I can understand why they didn't include "The Beatles Again" (or 'Hey Jude' album) in this box set, but to leave out a major album is really stupid!!!! Do you know why they excluded it, Beatle Brad? It was excluded because Abbey Road was never released in Mono Tom (same for Let it Be)

Hi Tom, I do have a Mono copy of AR but in the US and in England Thay didn't make it. So, they don't consider it to be part of the Mono set. YES, it is their wow it just don't get in the final cut WOW. I have never had this happen before. I have done over 800 videos so wow lol!!!
One problem is,Brad,a few of the songs on certain early have earlier fades.With The Beatles is a problem in itself on that deal.Play it against your Parlinlp original.Youll see what I mean.Not A Second Time has a least 3 seconds shaved off!!I found a bootleg that has mix differences and has the complete fade.The Capiphone corrects with this source I found.

Seems to me that fake editions of this box set are floating around out there. I am supposing that "gold discs" are the real ones? Buyer beware, I guess.
Mono is apparently so much fun! Robert P is a magician when it comes to recreating these things.

I used 24kt gold disc and transfers from the 2014 vinly just for Brad, fixed all the covers and box and now he has a one of a kind boxset, made by his friend.

I have bad news, and good news. The bad news is you have a FAKE! How can I tell? because I actually purchased it when it came out in 2009. Here's how I know that yours is fake: First of all, the font that says "In Mono" is changed. Authentic copies of the box set would have "In Mono" done in the same font as the words The Beatles. Another tell tale sign is that each of your C.D.s do not have a cellophane envelope to protect the cover of each C.D.. Third tell tale sign is that the covers are not "Fold over covers. (This means that part of the front cover folds on to the back, the same way vinyl record covers were made in the 60s) Also, the inner sleeves of the authentic mono box set were reproduced to look like the original inner sleeves that protected the vinyl. PLUS... not only are the labels quite different from the authentic box set, the copy of Sgt Pepper included in yours does not have a reproduction of the original pink psychedelic inner sleeve that came with the album. Plus Yellow Submarine was not part of the original box set. The authentic box set has all the albums that were released in mono in both The U.S. and Great Britain, even though The White Albums wasn't released in mono in the U.S. It's true that Yellow Submarine was released in mono, but would most certainly not be included in this set because that was only released for the market in the Asian South Pacific, and not anyplace else. Plus "Mono" Beatles albums after The White Album are "Fake" or "Fold Over" mono, meaning that they took the stereo recordings, and rechanneled it so everything would come out of just one speaker. I actually have a counterfeit of the mono Yellow Submarine on C.D. And in case you're wondering, after reading that, yes, the authentic box set does come with Mono Masters. The good news is that many counterfeiters are coming out with excellent sounding versions of the box set, so, even if yours is a fake, that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the music contained therein. And I also agree with you that Sgt. Pepper in mono is a mind blowing trip in and of itself. And if you haven't listened to it yet, make sure to check out the mono version of The White Album, as well. You'll hear a lot of interesting differences. I won't tell you all of them, but the animal noises on Blackbird and Piggies are noticeably different from the stereo versions. (That's ALL I'm going to tell you. I'll let you discover all the other wonderful, and rather unique differences on your own.) Also the booklet in the authentic mono box set is stapled, while the fake on is glued together. So, I hope I didn't disappoint you to much by telling you that what you got is a fake, but if it's excellent sound quality, then it should be enjoyable all the same. After all, we're here for the MUSIC, aren't we? I have yo point out one mistake I made on my part, though. I thought I had a mono version of yellow Submarine on C.D. It turns out that I don't, but I DO have a mono version of Abbey Road. Glad you enjoyed the info I provided. Hopefully that will help other subscribers to your channel on how to spot a fake. (Maybe they should contact your friend.)
