Great informational video.Just planing to buy a house in Valadolid for €4000,now its clear why so cheap, dodgy location, gypsy's,and thieves around. Before I will buy it fore sure I will sleep in front of it in the car for 2-3nights
What I find interesting is how much your costs vary from ours. We live near Gandia. Our home is close to fifteen times the price of yours yet our property taxes are just a bit more than twice as much. We're paying about 45 Euro a month for property insurance. My last water bill was 500. I think it goes to show how much these things can vary.
Thank you for your videos. They are great. I particularly clicked on this one to know more about the taxes, as they are quite confusing. Being there local and national taxes. And then 2:10 happened. 😅
Hi, thank you for this video. I am considering buying a property in Spain, but I am afraid of OKUPAS. How do you protect your houses from these creatures?
It's good to have good bars on ground floor doors and windows. This is everywhere in Spain. Alarm systems and cameras are priced pretty reasonably. I'd also recommend getting to know your neighbors. My street has a WhatsApp group chat where everyone looks out for each others homes. I've only heard of this happening one time in the last 5 years in my town. I don't think it's quite as common as it's made out to be ... at least not in my experience.
Hi there! In Spain, the demand for short term rentals seems to be very seasonal. Of course, if you price low, you can always have some business. The laws require registration with the government, a 24% tax rate on rentals, and a property manager has to meet each guest and register their passport, so there are definitely things to consider before starting a short term rental business. 🙂
@@traveltomoney that’s interesting. It makes sense that vacation rentals would be seasonal and wow! Good to know about the tax!! I spent 3 weeks in Spain last year and we weren’t met by a host at a each vacation rental so I’m sure there are some work arounds, just like in the US. I understand you’re merely stating what the laws are.
Hello miss i live in Barcelona and have been thinking about buying a apartment somewhere around Barcelona but i am really confused about one thing If i buy a casa i will have plot on my name como titular and whatever is on that plot but if i buy an apartment what the process i mean they wont give a piece land like they would if i buy a Casa so let's say something bad happen to my apartment how can i claim that i have been living in this place and someone ocupied it illegally or what if for what ever reason the building collapse godforbid what would happen than
Hi I have an apartment and if you pay community fees they include insurance on the building and should include security measures as well as the upkeep of the communal areas. If not you can take out your own buildings insurance and set up your own community if you wish .
Are the homeowners insurance, accountant, and bank fees optional? Also, what's the name of your internet provider? I'd like to avoid all that and as much as possible. Thanks for the video!
Thanks . It looks like they rip off people. Person has to pay for water he did not use and for electricity he did not use. I can imagine how much would one had to pay if he bought a house for 80 000. For 15000 euros I can go to Spain for holidays 3 times. Thanks again for your job but looks like I finish dreaming about the house in Spain.

Wow, that is very interesting! A 500 euro water bill is a huge difference! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
@@traveltomoney the water bill shocked me too. But my wife has a lot of plants and runs the irrigation more than I would.
Giday ... Thank you, excellent video.
I loved the video with the step by step process. Thanks!!

I love your videos. I’m planning on moving to Spain and would like to find a budget home like you. Do you have a real estate agent you work with?
Is this the breakdown of annual costs for the €5k house?
This is on the $20k house.
I'm looking to move my life to Spain... invaluable video. If you want to rent one of your homes let me know, I have references
Hey Nicole, great video and good information. Can i stay in your beautiful house and pay the electricity and water etc. gir few days? 😊
Do you know what the short term rental demand will be for your area
Im curious about that too.

How did you find the first house to buy on what publication?
Idealista.com 🙂
Where in Spain are the properties located? Can “zoom out” to autonomous region to keep private. Curious as an expat in Extremadura. Thanks!
Hi Tyler! My homes are in Pego, which is about a 25-minute drive inland from Denia, just between Alicante and Valencia.
I Like your Chanel and Your house... it is Gandia... I am looking to rent an Apto or house Dezember-Arpil... Saludos Jürgen

Hi can I ask you a question please
would you let digital nomads stay in the house? where is this house located again?
Yes, I'll probably end up offering a cheap rental for digital nomads. Something like $100 per week to cover my costs, but hopefully affordable. 🙂

Woo hoo!!!
It would be beneficial for the viewers to stop and breathe frequently. The constant talking is irritating.
