I hope you guys got something from this... I was super disappointed when I learned the par in quality between the two dumbbell sets. Have you guys seen any equipment we should look out for and NOT buy?

Obviously these are 2 different products. But are the cheaper handles really any worse. I don’t expect a 10lb per handle difference is terribly important when loading up 25s. Also, fixed dumbbells don’t have spinning collars, so why should I care if my dumbbell handles do, seems over engineered.

The 10lb per handle difference is huge when the cheaper set of dumbbells is made of hollow steel while the other is made of steel throughout.
25lbs sitting over your face on a dumbbell bench press can sure leave a nasty mark 😈

@@gymreviewer are you assuming the cheaper dumbbell would fail to hold the plate. Would this be more a collar issue?
Or are you suggesting 10lb plates are far better than 25lb plates for pressing movements.
I don’t have olympic dumbbells yet, but the primary use for me would be heavy rows.

Buy once cry once. It's not worth trying to save money on somethings and this is one of them.

Absolutely! This is why I upgraded to a Urethane set and a pair of Power Blocks.

But sometimes we have to learn the hard way ;)
