Solid video as always, now just get back to posting more!
Appreciate ya, brother!
"When an escalator isn't moving, it magically becomes a staircase. And when the slide lock isn't engaged, this magically becomes a normal barbell sleeve."
This was very clever. This is why I like your videos. Great attention to detail and clever writing.
Thanks so much, Prarthak! I really appreciate the feedback and kind words.
As I am looking into loadable dumbbells I have watched a lot of reviews on the topic, and this is the best overview all around on this subject and answered all my questions. Good stuff. Cheers for that mate, I'm subscribed to your channel for future content.
Something I am surprised @Basement Brandon didn't point out....
Adam prefers a thicker shaft. 16:58
What can I say, lol
I have a pair ordered, can't wait for them to come in June (right in time for my birthday). I was very excited to see the email that said they would be making the change to stainless steel. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Craig! Hope you enjoy them.
I too would like a thicker shaft
Heard that! Lol
very good video. thanks for the tips!
Loving the shirt!! Great video as always!
Thank you, Marc!
Very thorough review, love your channel for the level of detail you go into. I have a full stack of dumbbells but want to pick up a loadable dumbbell & barbell set as well. Great option!
I appreciate you watching and for the kind words, my friend!
@@GarageGymLab My pleasure! As a fellow content creator, I know all too well how much time, planning, & effort goes into making these videos, as quality videos take time. Really great channel, & love your humor, honesty, & integrity. 👍
@@FitLabb means a lot, brother. Thanks so much. Just subbed to you. Keep up the great work.
Nice review!
Thanks, Edward!
I would just go with Rogue Fitness DB-10 or DB-15 handles. Very high quality and no plate rattling.
Definitely need to post more... Keep it up
Thanks, Rodolfo!
I have a single handle on pre-order coming in June once they all ship. Very excited to gain a little more functionality in my home space. I only have iron plates but I don't mind a little clanging
Thanks for the comment, Evan! Let me know what you think when you get it in.
This was a great video. Very thorough and informative.
That being said, I have a pair of these in the 25mm offering, and I really like them and I think I prefer to use 25mm plates and not 50mm variations, although I have not tried that yet.
Size wise, I have no complaints. I am an xl sized hands guy ( and size 15 in shoes 😎 ) and I have no issues at all using these dumbells, but I do agree that the noise they make is rather irksome. I have tried modding them using a few o-rings, but to no avail.
This was the first video I saw from this channel, and looking forward to browsing through the rest now that I have subscribed.
I appreciate the feedback and sub, bud! Great to hear on your experience too. Thank you for sharing!
Great thorough review - love your presentation style and level of in-depth analysis. These handles look pretty sweet and should work well with thinner diameter (.75” plates)
Where did you hear they’re switching to stainless steel at?
Thanks, Brandon! Appreciate you watching and for the feedback! They sent out an email announcement about it. All preorders will be the stainless as well.
Can anyone recommend the best plates to use with the Dumbler so as to minimize the slop as much as possible?
Re:Slop - wonder if Gungnir has thought about making plates for these? You could pretty easily remove some of the notches if you knew every plate was going to be a certain width and make it so they fit flush. (Though that might also be a tolerance nightmare.)
I believe they are making some, but I think they will be very pricey
Have you ever tried the bells of steel loadable dumbbells? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
Awesome review, thank you very much. What does a leg routine look like for you? your legs are where I'm trying to be at.
Thanks for watching, John! Lots of squats and squat variations. Currently running Juggernaut AI, which has some great lower body volume, etc…
@@GarageGymLab Thanks so much for the reply man. Definitely earned my subscription.
How aggressive is the knurl on the Strength Co loadable dumbbells? I'm considering getting a pair of them.
What brand are those chrome looking plates?
Hey Jason, those are the intek Kraft Series change plates. Should be available soon.
@@GarageGymLab
Those are nice!!
I’m buying the gungnir loadable dumbbell and I’m looking for plates.. I was thinking the Baadass plates but they are thinner... so I’m wondering if they will have to much play?
What do y'all think of the Dumblers?
@@BrettsPoetryAnalisis Appreciate the feedback, my friend. I'm excited to try the Pepins myself! Glad you're loving them.
Love this review, and agree with everything you say. For my style of training, the disadvantages are easily remedied (neutral grip ROM, load the plates onto your leg, etc) or are irrelevant. Since I have very limited area (literally a corner of my garage), but with infrastructure for change plates on the wall, adding two handles has minimal impact from a space management perspective. In addition, the built in collar gives me vertical usage options. DB snatches, goblet squats, etc are all back on the table now. Anything that gives more options per unit is a big plus.
@@DJIngoB Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Ingo! Sounds like these are a great option for you indeed!
yuk. Ironmaster I think are much better for the reasons you mentioned.
Dude we thought you got the corona
Haha, all good! Been laser focused on finishing up my website project. Will be back to regular YT posting now.
@@GarageGymLab phew! Good to hear
I'll pass. Excellent review!
Thanks for watching, Leo!
2:30 Rackable dumbbell? Huh I guess you could call a barbell that or a loadable dumbbell is a mini barbell.
Bingo
I noticed that too but thought it was done on purpose.

What a waste of money. I can think of better things to do with 3 to 400 bucks. No thanks
