I am indeed watching Damo! And don’t worry - will keep schtum :) Looking forward to the comparison between the two. Without bringing any kind of tribal allegiance to the party, they definitely both have their merits!
I don’t mind the 997, but I’ve always struggled slightly with the headlamps and from straight on. I do see Beetle. I think the 996 is definitely coming of age and good ones are now overtaking prices of average 997.1s. I think you’ve bought a lot of car for the money and value wise should hold its own for the foreseeable future.
@@warrena8990 That's non-PASM ride height. Most 997s are S or C4S models, which have PASM as standard, and the Turbo and GT3 ride lower than the standard non-PASM car. So almost all 997s you see don't sit this high. Regular C2 non-S, non-PASM is fairly rare.
If it was £29995, it wasnt a good deal and also wasn't the cheapest 997.2 in the country. In April 24 I bought an immaculate silver 997.2 coupe PDK with only 58k miles ( less than half your mileage) for £27k. Maybe you bought the second cheapest!

Great job man! For your next driving videos, it could be possible to fix a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork please? :)
Noted!
@@damos_cars Thanks! ;)
Re coating the wheels back to silver will instantly lift the appearance of the car.
Guards red with silver wheels 👌
That's some way down on the priority list of jobs, but we shall see.. Cheers.

Yeh, I do keep coming back to it and thinking the same about the beetle! Part of its unique 911 charm I guess. :-)
When are you going to remove the lift kit that's on the car?
😅it’s not that bad is it?
Lift kits gotta go😜. That’s belongs in the US. I thought all 911 in Europe are lowered? Still beautiful 👍🏼
@@damos_cars My 2010 C2 was exactly the same and it always bothered me. Mine too was indian red which I loved!

Rear Wiper and 19 inch wheels are options though 🙂
This is true.. :-)
Hi, I was the other guy trying to buy it - if you decide to sell please let me know, thanks
Oh I didn't know there was another guy trying to buy it!
I want to meet the bloke who owns 51% :)
@@zakmirza I’m not sure my sister will thank you for calling her a bloke 😅
These old gens are superior in comparison with the new ones..
Oh yeh absolutely!

I paid £22.5k
@damos_cars a lot of car for the money! Well done.
£20k ?
Manual v PDK - manuals are always a premium..
Total car check saw it advertised for £29,995 on 4/4/24 so that's the ballpark folks...
Which makes £22.5k cheap then, some might even say the cheapest non cat s/n gen 2 in the UK
@@damos_cars 22.5 is very good
Disliked for a click baity title and didnt even both saying the price in the video. Absolute time waste video
