Depends on how long you let it go without hot water. If it hasn't been that long it should not take but a couple of hours. If it's been a long time the water would have to heat up from ambient temperature so it may take a lot longer. Hope this helps.
Amazing. I was super skeptical watching this that you were just messing with people but that 100% corrected it and my water heater is heating once again. Thank you!
Awesome! It works. Thanks for the video. One step you forgot to mention is that after plugging, we have to turn the switch back on and then turn the know 7 times. Thanks a lot!
Love the video, easy simple direction, saved me a lot of money from having someone come out to fix. Worked like a charm, thank you for your posting....
Nadeem, you are the man! Wish I would've done this last time, cost me quite a few bucks for a technician to come and fix it. Thanks much, you provide a very worthy service.
Thank you! This worked first try! Was not wanting to call tech on a Saturday night. You were the first video I found. My husband watched this and did exactly as you said and it worked! Many thanks!
Some additional discovery for folks that find this excellent video of Nadeem's. My water heater, which my brother-in-law and I installed over a year ago, started demonstrating this symptom. Nadeem's excellent video was instrumental in helping me reset the heater. But, the symptom persisted to the point where this was occurring several times a day. Fortunately, the heater was still under warranty for both parts and labor. (YAY!) But the folks at Rheem said that if there are various fumes in the area, the sensor inside the valve (the little control box Nadeem is fiddling with in the video) will shut the heater off as a safety precaution. In my case, the sensor had failed. The sensor in the valve has now been replaced, and the heater is back to full function.
Thank you so much Nadeem for making this video. My water heater tank looks exactly like yours. Your instructions (plus turning it back on after plugging it back in, Thank you commenters) worked perfectly. I think I heard mine click on after 5 turns though, I'm not sure. Burner was pretty quiet. My AC unit was on making it harder to hear. Manufacture date is 1/2019.
Thank you so much. Most RUclips videos have the valve to press in the pilot light. I have the same one as you. I called Honeywell was not able to get any technical person online. They don’t have a phone number for that department anymore. There was one guy on RUclips that I couldn’t understand what he was explaining. Thank you so much again!
It worked! Thank you! I actually unplit and plugged it back into a different outsource and followed your instructions. All the other videos didn't work like yours did. Kudos 👌🏼
I thought this has to be a joke when I watched it. But sure enough, it worked! Motor kicked right back on. Hopefully I’ll have hot water again by morning. Thank you!
Awesome video and works like a charm! I had to do this after my hardwood floors got refinished, as apparently the fumes tripped the sensor. Thank you for posting this!
It worked for me i thought valve was gone and the're very expensive The only thing missing is after u plug it in back u need to turn the switch back on then u do the 7 times turns with the knob But thank you my water heater is working again.
Worked like a charm. To Clarify to everyone Step 1: Move Red Switch on ignitor from ON to OFF Step 2: Unplug Blower motor from wall outlet Step 3: Turn Red knob to Low (ignitor will STILL BE IN OFF POSITION) Step 4: Plug in blower motor to wall outlet Step 5: Move Red switch on ignitor from OFF TO ON Step 6: Move red knob from Low to VERY HOT 7 Times Step 7: You will hear a click of the ignitor turning on, then move dial back to B (or desired temp)
Thank you, Nadeem!! You saved us thousands on a new water heater!!
It works, only need the missing is need to switch on before the seven turns . Thank you so much
I was thinking the same..thank you
😂
How do I pin this to the top? Interact for the algorithm you say? Ok. Gigglefits!
Same here
A year after your post and you're still helping people like me out.
Same lol
How long did it take for hot water to be produced.
Depends on how long you let it go without hot water. If it hasn't been that long it should not take but a couple of hours. If it's been a long time the water would have to heat up from ambient temperature so it may take a lot longer. Hope this helps.
@@EricSallick agree🤝 it took about an hour to get to normal temperature 🤝
Amazing. I was super skeptical watching this that you were just messing with people but that 100% corrected it and my water heater is heating once again. Thank you!

Nadeem is the best! We re-did our basement and this video helped us re-start our water heater! Thank you!
Had a brief power outage and no hot water after. Followed your directions and the machine started up no problem. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. My water heater wasn't working, and I had 7 flashes. Tried this fix and it worked. Now hot water is forthcoming. Thanks
Thank you! This worked first try! Was not wanting to call tech on a Saturday night. You were the first video I found. My husband watched this and did exactly as you said and it worked! Many thanks!
Thank you! Saved us from having a repair man out! You are tge man!
THANK YOU NADEEM! Just had that happen after a power outage and was terrified I was gonna have to call a technician out.

Great! It worked for me! Just as others mentioned, you have to turn the switch back on after plugging in and then do the 7 turns. Thanks Nadeem!!

Worked like a charm. To Clarify to everyone
Step 1: Move Red Switch on ignitor from ON to OFF
Step 2: Unplug Blower motor from wall outlet
Step 3: Turn Red knob to Low (ignitor will STILL BE IN OFF POSITION)
Step 4: Plug in blower motor to wall outlet
Step 5: Move Red switch on ignitor from OFF TO ON
Step 6: Move red knob from Low to VERY HOT 7 Times
Step 7: You will hear a click of the ignitor turning on, then move dial back to B (or desired temp)
This the clarification I was looking for but still can’t get it to work. It is after a flood so there’s probably a bit more going on with it.
A flood? your Circuit board is probably fried @@mikeschultz7480
